Agreed, we were very much in the game and after the little fiasco from Broon I thought it was perfect for the manager to give the players a bigger lift but it seemed to tame us. For the first time I am leaning towards you saying Pena may be the better option. Purely for the fact Miller is no use in midfield. Upfront Morelos has to start whereas normally Id have Miller all day long but because the Coloumbian is playing well he has to start therefore I think you have a point on Miller in midfield.

Yes fully agree mate with the change of the game but McCall is always going to be the measuring stick for our defensive midfielders. The terrier type is gone and Michael Carrick was the first of the breed to show that up to 10 years ago that you dont have to be a terrier in that role. But I thought with Jack we were getting a solid holding midfielder to sit infront of the defence. Its still early days for him mind so Im all for giving a season to settle.

You are right on Dorrans though, has dipped slightly since his debut at Fir Park but I still think he is a cracking signing and will get stronger as the season goes on. His goal at Firhill was something he showed us he is capable of.

I havent been too impressed with Jack since he joined and wonder if Holt would be the better option from Frankies team. Other than that its a a flip coin if Pena plays instead of Miller or Windass but more likely the mexican will be on the bench. That means Windass and Miller have to perform and if they both do it should mean good things. I do like Windass but think he is a good footballing brain away from being a better player. And Miller scores in big games.

Thats Wallace out for 2 months. Good chance for John to get a run of games. Cardiff will probably be the biggest winners with that. Hopefully Beerman isnt overlooked, he did well when called upon last season.

Cant fathom talk of playing defensive against Celtic at Ibrox. If it was away then caution is fair enough considering where we are at but at home we should always take the game to them. Id say this Celtic side is peaking between now and last season but they are far from unbeatable. 4-5-1 looks better for us IMO. Miller has a great record against them so may be the option on the left side with Windass rotating.
