  1. Im certainly not on his back but he needs to improve defensively. I said he is good going forward but he has been caught out a few times with Svensson having to cover for him. I said give him a run to see if he gets his pre-leg break form back, if not id be looking at an alternative.
  2. I just had a look at the league tables in Scotland and still find it crazy we have 42 teams and 4 leagues. Then i look at the SPL table and think about the crazy split that will again take place towards the end of the season where it can once again give teams a disadvantage by having an extra away game and 1 less home game. How stupid are SPL / SFA to even consider having such rule as the split knowing it can give such disadvantage. Things are not looking too bad on the national side of things at the moment with a lot of youngster being in the first squad and the U19s doing well recently. But for further progression i say we need to moderise the league format for the better. Livingston, St Johnston, Dundee, Partick, Grenta and Clyde are all capable of being in the SPL and holding there own against the lower sized teams in the SPL. They also have as good stadia. An 18 or 16 team SPL is badly needed then we should have 2 lower leagues of 12 or 13. The SFA / SPL could introduce an incentive for the clubs from 4th to mid table like the side that finishes 4th or 5th can go forward and represent Scotland in the Intertoto cup - giving them a chance of Europe. Meaning we hopefully have the top 2 going to Champions League football with 1 or 2 in the UEFA and 1 from the Intertoto. Is there anyone at or in the SFA/SPL who have an ounce of common sense and our games best interest at heart? Stand up and make some noise and re-vamp the league system!!
  3. IMO people can wear what they want and its not a big deal. Obviously if someone was to wear a Celtic top at Ibrox they would be either on the wind up and very brave or intensly stupid but people have the right to wear what they want within reason. I dont have a problem with Barney Rubble wearing a Columbia top to a game but personally when i wear colours (as on occassion i dont wear colours) its my Gers top plain and simple.
  4. Ok i know its still early but most fans have noted we are slightly unstable and slack at the back at the moment. Personally id give it a few more games anyway to see if it improves as Im sure the guys will be working on it day in day out in training over the next few weeks. Im pretty comfortable with Smith at LB and he looks natural in the position. Hutton is ok going forward but is lacking at some defensive duties. Svensson hasnt settled (yet) but again id give it longer. However if it doesnt improve id maybe like to see us go 3 at the back if we sign an new no-nonsense centre half. This would allow us to keep the 2-3 midfield shape but stick a striker up with Prso and keep Adam aswell. Someone mentioned on another thread Dundee Utd were rocked when we had all our attacking options on the park, and i can see a lot more teams coming to ibrox flooding the defence again, so the 3-2-3-2 formation is maybe worth a looking. ______________Letizi_______________ _____J Rod____Newbie____Svensson _______Ferguson____Clement________ __Sionko_______Buffel_______Adam___ __________Prso_____Boyd___________
  5. I was thinking after the game "i wonder how many attempts we had had" 27 is unbelieveable and just shows we must be on the right tracks offensively anyway.
  6. Agreed. I was listening to it on the radio and heard it and thought WTF!! Its nothing like the original.
  7. Hemdani is slightly surprising as he has started games plus he will be cover for the holding midfield roles and he can slip into the back 4. If he wasnt part of his plans and Gavin Rae isnt on the list, why hasnt Rae been playing there so far!!
  8. To an extent I agree about the mask bit! Its not on that it was a stranger and Ricksen shouldnt be behaving like that on a club outing, but it if was someone doing it to a mate on a holiday or something it would be hilarious.

    PLG incident

Well done Biggus Mannus for coming on and condemning the behaviour. I feel sorry for Le Guen having to get that behaviour in his new life in Scotland, especially when it was utterly uncalled for and 200% unprovoked. As Danny says, i hope he shakes this off and it enspires (sp) him even more. BTW Danny, the "Sad orange Bassa" song to McLeish is probably one of those songs that are just sung without thinking again and wind up the opposition fans (for some anyway). They sang it to WS, DA and AM but we also sang "sad f***** bassa" to TB MON etc.
  10. Id still take Webster for cover. But ive still never seen him play without Pressley next to him, and there is a split as to whether one carries the other or not, and personally ive always preferred Pressley but i may be wrong.
  11. That was a nice wee 100 quid in the hipper - had 2-1 Hearts on at 10-1 Thank you Mr Lennon
  12. Yeah, i say bring back Jock Brown and Mark Hateley. Both teams look to have went downhill since last season and Celtics midfield looks poor. Petrov wants a move and Jarisik looks like he is struggling with the pace of the SPL
  13. Shite scrapy game but Hearts are certainly the better side. The highlight was Strachan and McGlynn being sent to the stand for something BTW, where did Setanta find Scott Booth to do the summarising! My word he is shocking and can barely string a sentance together, he is trying to convert his common Aberdeen accent into a proper posh one which isnt working at all Get rid of that monkey! Its bad enough with Ian Boring Crocker!
  14. BTW i hope Celtic have a cut down allocation as we did last season!!!
  15. Was talking to a guy in my football team this morning who is a fellow teddy bear and a good mate of Stuart McCall. He was back in UK last week and went to a friendly with McCall where Bernard was playing. He said Bernard stood out and played superbly and got up and down the left side very well
  16. Im quite looking forward to watching this game, at Tynecastle its normally a good affair with fast attacking football. Obviously want Hearts to win and i think they will 2-1. Im think il even have a wee flutter on them
  17. I never realised that it was the Utd fans singing it. The TV never showed that. However it makes sense now coz it did seem very quiet.
  18. Dundee Utd would have got a thrashing today if Buffel had his shooting boots on and luck went our way up front. We battered them in the first half. They got 1 half chance and the boy took it well.
  19. Slightly heard Hullo Hullo twice but it kind of died out straight away or the TV cut it out. Also Follow Follow went quiet after "Dundee Hamilton...."
  20. Im listening to Radio Scotland and they are belting out songs but they dont seem "catchy" at all. They need to re-due them so fans can join in. I heard the Wolverhampton version and its nowhere near as good as the version Ive got on CD.
  21. I knew it was the french anthem in english but never realised it was that long
  22. The game would be over and we'd be about half way through
  23. Your talking Chalk and Cheese between Prso and Ricksen, and it is hard to imagine Prso being the complete opposite by playing crap and having a stinking attitude. But my answer would be yes, i gave Ricksen plenty chances and wanted to see him back as our RB until his latest antics.
  24. You would think so. In any other profession if you behave like Ricksen has done (on more than 1 occassion), you would be sacked straight away and wouldnt be able to do a thing about it. Youl also wouldnt be paid a years salary either. In football the rules must be different. Players must surely have things written into contracts allowing not to be sacked!
  25. I see he and Paul Scholes were red carded in Man Utds win over Porto at the Amsterdam tournament! I read Rooneys was a bit harsh, did anyone see it? If the ref reports it he gets a 3 game Premiership suspension which seems mad!!
