I knew it was the french anthem in english but never realised it was that long

The game would be over and we'd be about half way through

Your talking Chalk and Cheese between Prso and Ricksen, and it is hard to imagine Prso being the complete opposite by playing crap and having a stinking attitude. But my answer would be yes, i gave Ricksen plenty chances and wanted to see him back as our RB until his latest antics.
-
You would think so. In any other profession if you behave like Ricksen has done (on more than 1 occassion), you would be sacked straight away and wouldnt be able to do a thing about it. Youl also wouldnt be paid a years salary either. In football the rules must be different. Players must surely have things written into contracts allowing not to be sacked!

I see he and Paul Scholes were red carded in Man Utds win over Porto at the Amsterdam tournament! I read Rooneys was a bit harsh, did anyone see it? If the ref reports it he gets a 3 game Premiership suspension which seems mad!!
-
Not at all, I honestly cant see us losing much at all because we have a very good squad now with competition for places everywhere. And if the players stand up and be counted then how on earth would someone like Dunfermline or St Mirren have a chance against us. Id rather be confident and optimistic. Yes a defeat is enivitable at some stage, of course it is, but under one of the most talented coaches in europe and with a better squad I can only see us returning to the top of the domestic game straight away.

I dont really see that any of the midlands teams are like a Bluenose side. My mate has is a season ticket at Ibrox is also a big Villa fan, so im looking forward to hearing his opinion on MON. There is no doubt that Villa will see it as a scoop as he was much sought after. But when O'Leary took over there I thought that was also a scoop and it turned out the wrong way.

Cant say Im dissapointed in the slightest. He is part of the dead wood IMO and has lost my support now.

Ive just played this song and if there is anything sectarian in that song then it poses the question "What does Sectarian mean?"
-
Surely not! That would be a farce, where on earth is there anything secarian in that song!!

I'll pay Bernards bus fare to Bramell Lane - in fact id drive him there!! I hope Andrews gets a club and has a good season - i like Big Marv!! As for FanFan - I'll never know!
-
Yeah agreed! I honeslty cant see us losing much games at all in the league this season. Im very confident in this team after only 1 game. I wonder what the odds of being unfeated in the league all season would be!!

Craig checked this out the other day: Gers to win SPL & UEFA - 50/1 Gers to win SPL & SC - 4/1 Gers to win SPL & CIS - 4/1 Gers to win SPL, SC & CIS - 10/1 Gers to win SPL, SC, UEFA - 100/1 Gers to win SPL, CIS, UEFA - 100/1 Gers to win all 4 - 250/1
-
Just had a wee check and had a wee laugh when I saw Birmingham have got Colchester at St Andrews. They go from playing Arsenal Man Utd etc to Colchester. Ipswich v Palace - Draw 9/4 Killie v Hibs - Draw 9/4 Coventry v Sunderland - Draw 11/5 Also fancy a bit of Hearts to beat Celtic at 7/4.

How good is it we can get a coupon back on again!! The championship also starts tomorrow and this league got me a few wins last season, there are always banker draws in this league. I havent checked out the coupon yet and prefer it when the EPL starts but I will have a flutter this weekend.

Im too lazy to try that Gav, just go onto Skysports website and read it. Jon, are you on the bevvy or have you been up all night working again? I dont understand what you mean by me being wrong, i didnt say anything about there sales :D
-
Nah Cole doesnt nor does Glen Johnson. West ham only seem to boo those who make comments about them i.e. Lampard and Paul Ince. I cant cut and paste the article, it wont let me cut his comments as they are from his autobiography and must have some sort of copyright rule.
-
Yes, i agree it will be down to more of a hole team effort, however a few will shine individually. This will be different from us having only 4 or 5 players turning up for us in recent seasons.
-
I tent to agree with that but if we dont win the league then it will depend on who does win the league and how they have played. IMO Celtic were poor last season and I think they have went downhill even more this year. They ran away with it from us last season because the diaster period we had in october last year.

He is having a go at the West Ham support again. http://msnsport.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=407706&CPID=8&clid=8&lid=2&title=LAMPARD+HITS+OUT+AT+HAMMERS I dont believe for 1 minute that there was West Ham fans cheering when he broke his leg. Surely the were clapping him off the park like most players on strechers get. I also find it hard to believe some West Ham fans didnt think he was good enough, he was a great talent. But he isnt the first player to be booed by his own support and he wont be the last. Ask Craig Moore! ive heard him being booed at Ibrox when W Smith played him in midfield, then in the underground que after the game Bears were arguing amongst themselves about him.
-
Yeah, he is the perfect long term replacement for Naysmith.

For success we are going to need 11 hero's on the park most weeks. In recent seasons we have relyied on certain players performing for us. We have had De Boer, Ferguson, Ricksen and Prso all carrying us in occassions in recent seasons. To an extent this was Mcleish's way, however I dont expect Le Guen to work this way. Thomas Buffel has a lot of talent and looks class but he never reached his peak under McLeish as he suffered most (apart from us) from the system, but I can see him being our outstanding player this year. We will need a good partnership struck up between J Rod and Svensson. Prso will give 110% as usual but one does slightly wonder if he will play in every game, but he is an important player. I will be interested to see Ferguson when he comes back. I think mentally he is going to realish the new system and challange, so depending on his fitness we cold see our captain back to his best. Sionko looks a steal of a signing so he could be another hero in the making. Its up to the players to do the business now - Who is going to grab the opportunity and go on to be a Fans hero!!?

IMO we have a few things which need to be taken place both off and on he park. Off the park, id like to see the Non-Rangers chants stopped / new and old Rangers songs (re)introduced, the Club to get behind the fans more with certain issues and for them to take a stand against the media this season. On the park its first and foremost to get back to basics and playing football. I expect that will happen under the PLG era. He has brought in some good players and has set up a nice looking blend and I am in favour of the system. Firstly I want the SPL title back where it belongs, this would be my first priority. Any cup competition is always a boost and a lottery when we enter. The standard of the UEFA cup is not what it once was but there is some good sides in it, however I do not fear anyone in it and we are capable of beating anyone at Ibrox. Id like a Euro run this year. The Scottish cup has eluded us for a few seasons so Id like us to reach Hampden again. The odds are highly stacked against 4 trophies out of 4 and is too much to expect especially when we are entering a new era. So id like progress on the park with a settled team and system doing well and resulting in the SPL title and at least 2 good cup runs.

Its very early in the season still and threads will come over the course. To be fair i think many of us are still unaware of some issues like new signings, systems etc and we'll need a few weeks to take them on view. I know I used to create quite a few Rangers threads when I stayed in UK but now Im relying on websites and others views in here for info. I manage to watch the TV games on Setanta but I get no pre-match build up so dont hear interviews etc. The Motherwell game got a good write up, and we're all looking forward to Utd game this weekend.

Ive got a few. I can see the posters point about the Tannadice thing and it was an occassion where you probably had to be there, but I was definatly most proud when we won 9IAR. I was beaming for days, i remember going into school the following morning for my higher exams and just couldnt sit in the hall at piece The latter parts of that era where proud, 8IAR when Gazza got the hattrick was another moment. The euro run of 92/93 is up there as is Helicopter Sunday.
