Both managers never should hands again

Ive a feeling for Liverpool aswell Chris, im going to back them. As Gav says a 20+ striker is the only thing they seem missing but they have plenty of 10+ scorers all over the park which could be enough. You never know the old Fowler might return and with Bellamy feeding him there is goals upon goals in the side.

Absolutely agreed, i couldnt believe what i was reading last night after the Dunfermline game, embarrassing is the exact word. Yet I seem to be the only one who is not frustrated. Compare our play in our first 2 matches to ANYTHING last season and it shows how far we have came already and its still the VERY beginning. Ok i obviously get frustrated with misses chances, but the chances are coming and we will get it right.

BTW do you have a Gers supporters pub in Perth? I was down there 2 weeks ago and il be back again soon. I'll be avoiding "The ******s Pub" (actual name) under the Novotel at the end of St Georges Terrace.

We need to give him time. By reading above he can see the problems. IMO he was right to start with the same line up as nobody had had a bad game. Now he can be merited in making a change against Hearts
-
Id be wondering where he got the intelligence to sign a midfield from and play good attacking football with a bit of knowledge. Are you saying your calling for Le Guen to be sacked? Thats a wind up if you are.

Liverpool definatly have the better of Chelsea at the moment but do the rest of the Premiership?? With the squad Rafa is building i can honestly see them pushing all the way for the title this year. Im tempted to back them depending on Man Utds final summer signing (if there is one). With Chelsea i think it could be a case of 1 superstar too many now and not enough footballing players. But they had Makelele missing yesterday and if he was there Riise wouldnt of got that 60 yd run IMO. It shows how important Makelele is, as without him chelsea looked like they would concede. But then Cech would of stopped Riise' shot aswell. They need Ashley Cole as at full back they look shakey, but if i was Colshy i honestly wouldnt worry about it at the moment - but i do think the EPL title wont go to Stamford Bridge this coming season. I really like the look of Liverpool's midfield. They have 2 quality players for every position and in Bellamy they could have the player of the season!

Well said Le Gaffer! He knows whats going on and how to sort it!!
-
Agree Gav, i cant believe people are on Le Guens back after 3 games. You arent football minded if you have a go at him already. Am i the only one who is happy with our attacking play at the moment? Against Motherwell and Utd we looked great going forward. I would give Prso a wee rest, i think he is struggling due to playing in the WC and slightly out of position. Apart from that we need to give it time folks.

I told my mate to get a tener on Riise for the first goal at 16/1, i hope he did it!!

Cant wait until it starts next week. The top 4 will be the usual Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal in no specific order. I fancy Liverpool to be very close this year and if Man Utd get 1 more midfielder (Diarra, Senna, Hargreaves) i can see them pushing all the way. Arsenal are going to need all there big players to count and they will have to settle in the new stadium quick. Outsiders (next 4): I think Villa will do well under MON. Im not so sure if Spurs will be as good as last season but i still think they will be top 8 no probs. West Ham and Newcastle will make up the other 4 in the top 8 IMO. After that its a lottery. There is lots of bets available, but ive chose this interesting list of handicap betting: I like the look of Villa, Newcastle and Arsenals bets Chelsea (scratch) 15/1 Aston Villa (+44) 10/1 Liverpool (+10) 15/1 Manchester Utd (+11) 15/1 Arsenal (+12) 15/1 Tottenham (+24) 15/1 Newcastle (+30) 15/1 Blackburn (+32) 15/1 Bolton (+34) 15/1 Everton (+36) 15/1 West Ham (+36) 15/1 Portsmouth (+38) 15/1 Charlton (+43) 15/1 Fulham (+44) 15/1 Wigan (+44) 15/1 Reading (+48) 15/1 Man. City (+38) 18/1 Middlesbrough (+36) 18/1 Sheffield United (+52) 18/1 Watford (+52) 18/1

You missed Lampard out of your midfield list I dont think Mourinho likes this game too much and might use it to play a bit of mind games. He has already stated Liverpool are favourites. And i wouldt disagree with him too much, Liverpool have got the better of Chelsea recently. I dont expect Chelsea to get out of 2nd gear but can Liverpool being really up for it to try and make a statement. It will be interesting to see the team selections as both have improved over the summer. I think it will be a draw in 90 mins.

Just tuned into sportsound for the last 10 mins and could only get Killie V Utd here, but the after match report says St Mirren held there own very well. I heard the fans singing ST Mirren off the pitch. But yes celtic have started really patchy.
-
Yeah there is certainly a strikers place up for grabs and 1 of 4 or 5 will be in contention. I also think a few other youngters will break through, the likes of Anton Ferdinand and Reo-Coker might feature. Ledley King is another cert when he is fit. I dont know if id have had Beckham in the squad or not. I would of maybe had him in but certainly wouldnt of started him. But its maybe a good thing for Becks, he is a proud man and he will want to go and prove himself and get back in the team. IMO a fully fit Beckham on top form is still a quality player. I think he should move back to England though so he can show it week in week out.

....has started well 2 defeats and almost a 3rd, they are 2-1 down at home to Plymouth.
-
Looks like that will be the end of another tim. I can see Villa coming in for Lemmon. Hopefully Petrov goes aswell then id could see them really struggle.

McLarens first full squad: Goalkeepers: Robinson (Tottenham), Kirkland (Liverpool), Foster (Man Utd). Defenders: Bridge (Chelsea), Brown (Man Utd), Carragher (Liverpool), A Cole (Arsenal), Dawson (Tottenham), Ferdinand (Man Utd), G Neville (Man Utd), P Neville (Everton), Terry (capt, Chelsea), Young (Charlton). Midfielders: Downing (Middlesbrough), Gerrard (Liverpool), Hargreaves (Bayern Munich), Jenas (Tottenham), Lampard (Chelsea), Lennon (Tottenham), Richardson (Man Utd), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea). Strikers: Ashton (West Ham), Bent (Charlton), Crouch (Liverpool), Defoe (Tottenham).
-
Beckham, Campbell and James dropped. McLaren certainly making a statement but i think he is right to build for the future and drop the above who will be 33, 33 and 37 respecivily at Euro 08. I think Gary Neville is about the same age but he is still at the top of his game. I had a look at the squad and thought it looks slightly lightweight upfront (Crouch, Defoe, Bent and Ashton). I thought a 5th striker in Andy Johnston or James Beattie would have been added, but it looks like Rooney and Owen will walk back in meaning Ashton drops out and thats his 5 strikers. The keepers dont Shania Twain me much either, Robinson yes, Kirkland - hasnt caught a ball in about 2 years and Foster has zero experience. BTW Venebles No.2 - Great scoop for England! Despite me not being the biggest england fan I always liked Venebles' era and liked his team etc.

From your mate who said Curbs was the new Gers Gaffer and that Ronaldo had died pre WC98 final?
-
Read on BBC that Derry had 3000 fans with them
-
Im looking forward to seeing what he can do, he apparently breezed past celtic so can only be good. Welcome to Rangers
-
Great work again lads, im looking forward to seeing this
-
Yeah Mystic Buba isnt bad with the info he is always just way ahead of things tho
-
Yeah Im sure its coz there pitch, it was last time in europe anyway. There isnt any room to widen it anyway until the knock that shed down and build a new stand where the players come out.
