Ive read the comments a good few times and cant see where he is having a dig at Barry Ferguson. I think he is stating that the team he played in had the best spirit and the likes of Goram Gough Coisty aswell as Knox and Smith would make sure EVERY player gave there all. As for his Cruyff, Stoichkov comments - are they related to us at all? Im slightly confused there.

I just saw Wija's Signature of "Mike Newell loyal" and realised we havent discussed this topic yet. His comments were plain stupid as in this day in age you cant get away with sexist comments like that. However, it kicks off a debate as to whether woman should be allowed into the game, and not just to officiate. Personally I see the playing side as a mans game and cant see women playing. I Karen Brady has done a fine job as MD at Birmingham city so it shows women can stand there ground if the job is right. It would take a lot of getting use to (seeing women referees) but id like to see Ex players be ref's ahead of anyone else.

Post of the day Calscot, I couldnt agree more. You took a lot of words out my mouth. Also agree if someone cant go a certain time without a smoke then thats a mental problem. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that everyone has human rights - that is spot on. Smokers can smoke in area's given while non smokers dont breathe it in. Maybe the solution would be to make the Club Deck a smoking only section but cover the front with a massive pain of glass so the smoke couldnt escape to other sections of the ground.

Agree with DJ there. When Boyd plays, if he doesnt score then its like having 10 men in the side. If he could add a few extra things to his game like DJ said then we would have a striker and a half in our ranks. I think Coisty needs to have a few 1 on 1's with Boyd.

I dont understand the appointment of Reed at all.
-
I actually think he is underrated now. He wasnt the greatest under us first time but he has improved a lot with age (Levein has something to do with it IMO), and is a bit like Colin Hendry in certain ways. He always gives 200% and is exactly what we need just now. He always does well for Scotland also.
-
Agreed. Plus he barely got a game at the WC for Argentina.

Ian Dowie is the first EPL manager of the season to leave. I was close to putting money on him at 6/1 not long ago when it was Pardew, Roeder and Pierce the bookies favourties. 12 games might be a bit harsh but they were struggling and i thought he was a wrong appointment in the first place. Curbishley had massive boots to fill and Charlton needed to get onto the same level and appoint a big name and not an up and coming manager. Hoddle is top candidate but i wouldnt touch him with a barge pole

McNee claims the line "if we go to Dublin" is sectarian????
Gribz replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
Well lets hope the club come out and defend this. How can he even claim that!! So is he saying that if i met a mate at an airport and i asked him where he is going and he replied "Im going to Dublin" then thats sectarian??? Impossible!!! -
Your right there, Liverpool were poor. Gerrard HAS to play centre midfield, he is the best in the world IMO in that role just now. And upfront Bellamy would have got in about Arsenal more than Crouch so he should have played.
-
Baptista is still injured. Id gove Walcott a few games to see if he can score. Clichy is practically Ashley Cole, there isnt much difference at all. The only bad thing is they only got 5 million for Cole when they should have got a lot more. But Billy Gallas is a massive signing but still think they should have got a bit more cash also with Gallas being 29 or 30.

Dear or dear, what a shambles. Is there any Bear who would rather be in Hearts shoes than our?? No i dont think so. Its shame for the Scottish game, they were on the verge of being a geniune title condenter, and had Burley not been messed around with I think they would have won the league last season. But now I see deeper problems and they are going to get worse. As for Pressley, i know he is 33 but i think we should go for him in January. He is the type who will throw himself infront of a ball and exactly what we need right now.
-
TBH they are also missing Larsson aswell as Eto this season, he won them the Euro Cup in May. I can see Real pushing them for the league this season.
-
He said on skysports website that he is suffering from the WC and not having a pre season. This is where they also miss Bobby Pires and Ljungberg of the past, they would both add 15 goals each. Rosicky and Hleb might get a few but they are needing Baptista and Freddie back for goals.

Its just been a few days for me and maybe only 2 or 3 times at that. But as soon as i refresh the page it comes back up so I dont ask Admin if it was the forum as I think its my connection half the time.
-
Is this happening just today or previous? Im kind of having the same problem sometimes in the last few days but it can be when Im posting.
-
Yeah, this is a good point. Whenever Im at a game its a hole day occassion and i time budget my day to expect to get home later. As Pete said if ur not driving then its a quick pint after the game and allow the crowds to dissolve then enjoy the rest of your day.

Yeah. What i kind of thought was that the majority were immune to knowing about the problems and actually didnt care, and the it was more of a case of Anti Murray crowd v a mass who didnt care. The section in the offical site came as a shock to me for a couple of reasons: 1) Murray still has such big support * and 2) It was a poor piece from the club. * - Im not fully anti-Murray, i kind of sit on the fence when it comes to the football side of things as I dont blame him for recent performances, and he has also delivered Paul Le Guen (a much sought after man). However for management decisions off the park like the Ticket Office and Albion Car Pk etc - I find that he has lost the plot here, but maybe not for personal gain.
-
I didnt realise Murray had so much support at the moment. My genuine thoughts (from afar) were the majority were not happy with things at the moment. But my thoughts there were probably influencied by reading this website. However, I dont blame Murray for whats happening on the pitch at the moment (to an extent). I think we have a group of players who havent gelled yet and a manager who needs more time to get things right. He also hasnt grasped the countries game yet. However! Had the clubs cash in the past been managed more appropriately then we might not be in the situation of running on a bosman budget. But then that kicks of a debate as to whether people would swap the WS and DA era's where we enjoyed great domestic success and a good few Euro nights. SL and Stan S put up the a fine list of problems that are OFF the park. Now this is a different matter altogether. IMO i find the Ticket Office the biggest farce. I couldnt believe it last time when I picked up tickets from a porta-cabin which was just dumped outside the West Govan Corner. That is embarressing. But change is expected in this world and that includes football. At the moment we are going through a era of change while our rivals are having the better campaigns. Its something we accept and get on with while showing our true support for the club and supporting them through thick and thin. We will be back!!! And TBH i dont think we are in that much of a crisis. If we can make 2nd place in the league and have a good UEFA cup run and add the SFA cup, that isnt bad for a side that is going through the mills at the moment. Stick in bears!!

The win over Dunfermline wasnt the most convincing ever but it ended a terrible week of 2 poor defeats. Looking at the fixture list for the next 4-5 weeks it really is make or break time. We have a chance to take advantage of 2nd place next sunday by going to Tynecastle and winning. After that we have a big away trip to Auxerre where can put ourselves through from the group although i wouldnt call it a must win game. We seem to be fine in the UEFA cup but this will be the toughest test yet and a draw wouldnt be a bad result as we still can beat Partizan at Ibrox. Following that we have a potential banana skin at Falkirk and then we play our bogey side Hibs before the next OF game. Fixtures between now and Mid December: Hearts Away Auxerre Away Klimarnock Home Falkirk Away Hibs Home Partizan Belgrade Home Celtic Home

Im Subway loyal but im glad to say its the Sandwich shop that im loyal to with a 6" Cheese Steak at lunch times!! It is quite annoying see so many getting out there seats around 75-80 mins. I can understand it around 87 mins if the game is over as a contest and someone has a distant journey. After the Molde game recently me and my mate stayed until the final whistle and it took us over an over to get onto the motorway alone from the albion car pk then we had a 3 hr journey north, plus my mate was working next morning at 5am so in this occassion had we left earlier it would have saved us near on an hour and a half and i dont think anyone could have moaned especially since I had drove up from England that morning also. But nobody has a divine right to be made to stay, its up to the individual. But i also think what is on show has a lot to do with it. If we are playing in a 2-2 thriller with chances towards end then people will stay but if its cold and we have wrapped up a 3-0 win over Motherwell then i can understand people wanting home for there supper rather than sit in traffic.

Another great display from Arsenal particularly in the 2nd half. Keeps them in the title hunt with a game in hand but Liverpool are a mess away from home. To think many tipped them to win the league this season. They have went backwards fast. How the hell can Rafa not play Gerrard in centre midfield is mindblowing. The premiership shaping up really nice at the moment with Utd on fire and Chelsea with them and Arsenal coming good also. Man Utd v Chelsea a week on Sunday will be amazing then Chelsea v Arsenal a fortnight after that.

Just wondered why this was actually closed? It had the basis of a decent debate bar a few silly comments. I was looking forward to contributing to this topic with my views but then saw it had been locked. Im sure people can actually have a decent debate without being personal. BTW for the record I didnt realise Murray had so much support at the moment. My genuine thoughts (from afar) were the majority were not happy with things at the moment. But my thoughts there were probably influencied by reading this website. However, I dont blame Murray for whats happening on the pitch at the moment (to an extent). Yes, the next best debate after 9/11, - smoking in public places!. Smokers possibly should have rooms etc to smoke but as long as it doesnt effect the non-smoker. The thing is we are not telling you not to smoke, but we are telling you's not to make us smoke!! Last time i was at Ibrox a few weeks back i went into the toilet in the East Enclosure and was engulfed in a cloud of smoke. Law is law and the law says no smoking in a public place. The police should be fining these people.

Did you's get a wee back hander for that?
