Another thing for the fickle fans is we should actually be happy with the progress so far especially when you consider how bad we were only a few months ago. Some Rangers fans are enjoying watching us play again

Yeah thats it, Mourinho doesnt like it but has to accept it. I must say this is the first time ive ever heard this
-
 We'll get this arranged then
-
No coz I know Liverpool wont win
-
Yeah its always going to take time. Some fans dont seem to realise that when you climb a ladder you use the steps in between rather than jumping straight to the top, but IMO we have certainly began our climb.

If thats true then Liverpool will be the Champions.

Ive already got a bet on with Craig, but im very confident its Man Utds title.
-
Yeah strange one, why doesnt the coach call up Zidane again then!!
-
Has been called up to the France squad despite retiring after the WC. If he doesnt report to the camp he gets a 2 game premiership suspension for every game he misses for France. Absolute mental situation.

I can never understand these footballers who are on wads of cash who claim they are homesick. They are a 2 hour flight from there homes. They need to go into the real world and work 18 hours away from home to realise what homesickness can mean.

Craig beat me to it Colshy, have a look at Man Utd. Arsenal were never going to be Chelseas main competiton this season, arsenal will struggle for 3rd this season. But i agree with your thread title - league over already - but its going to Old Trafford

Mark Lawrenson talks a lot of shite but he has got it spot on with Keane. He will have to lower his expectations and change his way of thinking if he is going to suceed as a manager. Strange appointment IMO, yes he is good at maybe getting a dressing room fired up but it remains to be seen if he can run a club.

I watched the first 20 mins or so then read the report this morning. It seems Chelsea were lucky to take all 3 pts and Terry feel rather easily for the pen. No doubt they havent found there stride yet but they still have 6 pts whereas rivals Arsenal havent found there stride either but have 1 pt. That can be the difference sometimes. I just dont see Chelsea winning the league this year for 2 reasons 1) they will have too many hard games like there last 2 where teams no how to play against them now so they will drop points and reason 2) is Man Utd. I think Man U have a better system, more hunger and desire this year, have came out the blocks flying and are good at staying on winning streaks when they get them.

I think some certain Rangers fans need to take a look at themselves. I cant believe some would have a blast at a team who are only 4 weeks and 5 games old. It can clearly be seen on the pitch we have came strides in certain play and its simply been a case of unlucky / poor finishing which has kept our goals 'for' down. We were impressive against Motherwell, played some awesome stuff against Dundee Utd and great against Hearts. Again yesterday we were unlucky. Only the away trip to Dunfermline has been poor, so 4 out of 5 isnt bad for a "new" team. There is no doubt we havent settled at the back. Steven Smith is a good promising wee left back and everyone will agree he is not quite Arthur Numan yet but he is a 19 year old lad. Hutton has been hot and cold and the last thing he needs is critisism. I dont know how many of the anti-Hutton brigade have ever had a bad brake but let me tell you now from experience it can take years to get your confidence and full abillity back. It looks like we are going to add a central defender in this week which wont be a bad thing as the central 2 are finding it hard to gel but they are certainly not any worse than some previous defenders. In the midfield we have 2 realible players doing a fine job sitting infront of the back 4. Ive always rated Hemdani as he quietly goes about his job and very rarely losses possestion. Clement is a bit of the same but puts himself about a bit more and these 2 look confortable in the side. Barry Ferguson still has to come back and id say there was a call for all 3 of these players to remain in the XI. In the final 3rd its been change week after week due to injuries which hasnt helped gain us consistancy. Sionko came out the blocks flying and looked a real find but hasnt continued but like I always say players need games to gel under new surroundings and fully get match fit after preseason. Buffel needs to be told a match lasts 90 mins and not 60 and practice some shooting and he could end up being the player of the year. But the others have all been doing a fine job. All in all is there any bear who would actually swap todays position for say 8 or 9 months ago??? Absolutely not IMO. I look at the bigger picture and I can slowly but surely see the jigsaw coming together. Anyone who demands a team to win 3-0 everyweek is unrealistic and doesnt know football.

I cant decide but im leaning towards the boffin side. What colour is the back of the shirt BTW? I can see a hint of white on the shoulders, so it may be white on the back.

Thats good news about Martin being here for the season but the way he is going Man U will take him back. As for Sir Awex, I always knew he was a Rangers man when growing up but after he left the club under difficult circumstances I thought he had a bit of bitterness towards us but obviously not.
-
I thought Arsenal would have improved from last season but it looks like they are going to be the same. They have had a poor start and are already 8 pts behind Man Utd even though they have played a game less. I know its early but Arsenal dont have a 'B' game against teams and will drop a lot of points if they are not taken chances.
-
Nah i didnt have a flutter on this Craig But how did West ham not get a point from this, Bowyer missed an absolute tap in with 5 mins to go, Harewood should have scored in the first half to put us 2-0 up.
-
I watched bits of this, Hibs should have killed the game off in the first half, they had a few chances and Celtics defence looks shocking.
-
Is this thread for real??
-
Yeah , Man Utd to Rangers to Plymouth to nobody - a complete downward spiral
-
Depends if he wants forst team football or to warm a bench

Defender Jonathan Woodgate says he will play on loan in England this season. The Real Madrid star, 26, who has played just 14 games in two years because of injury, has been linked with Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Liverpool. "I'm going to go on loan for a year and I'll know which team I'm going to join in the next few days," said Woodgate. "I like all the English teams that want me and it would be a positive step to go back. I need to play games to show I'm strong and completely recovered." But Woodgate insisted he wants to stay with Real in the long term. "At Real Madrid it is difficult to have any continuity, but in a year I will come back to Madrid to prove that I am a good footballer." Woodgate joined Real on a four-year deal from Newcastle United in August 2004 for £13.4m despite suffering from a serious thigh injury when he was signed. He did not play his first league match for Real until September 2005. His debut was the stuff of nightmares when he scored an own goal and was sent off against Athletic Bilbao at the Bernabeu. Woodgate then picked up a series of injuries to his ankle and thigh. He was on the verge of earning a return to the England squad in November 2005 when he suffered a hamstring tear in a league match against Real Zaragoza. He failed to play again last season after suffering a recurrence of the injury in Real's 1-0 Champions League defeat by Arsenal in February. The arrivals of new coach Fabio Capello and Italy's World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro have reduced Woodgate's chances of getting regular games at the club. He has played a total of 14 competitive games for Real since joining them two years ago, nine in the league, three in the Champions League and two in the King's Cup. 14 games in 2 years on 50k a week!! Absolute joke. This is 1 player i wouldnt touch.

Nah, i was doing my fantasy team and it was either Crouch or Harewood but i couldnt part with Harewood for some reason. I think Liverpool will do well this season but will be slow starters and West Ham will get something from the game.

Yeah we cant keep players because of goodwill even though we think he can still do a job, but he is 5th choice now. With half a million from Namouchi and half a milllion for Novo we have to take it and it free's up 2 wages. Coventry arent a bad side, they certainly have potential to get back to the EPL so good luck Nacho if he goes.
