I like the title of this thread - The Current Team coz it makes debate about who should be in and who should be out/ Bottom line is we are having the same problems as last 2 years under McLeish - We dont have a midfield. When we do, its Ferguson and thats it, and when Clement plays Ferguson takes over every role. When Ferguson doesnt play (last season when we played well at Inverness and the start of this season) we play well. What Im saying is get rid of Ferguson, bring in Hemdani and Clement together and I can honestly see the team starting to play flowing football. I love Barry Ferguson's desire for Rangers but he ruins the team. What went wrong yesterday was Falkirk won the midfield battle coz they are similar to the other 137 professional teams in the UK that they have a midfield and understand its common knowledge to play players across the middle rather than just lump 2 players in the same position. We havent had a midfield for over 3 years now.

Id take him striaght away. People have to remember he is a quality defender, i rate him! He is like a Colin Hendry. He will throw himself infront of any ball.

Yeah agreed and it could have been a cracking race coz i still dont believe Celtic are all that great, they just have a really good balance in midfield and upfront and are organised. They do have a few good players but their defence is still suspect IMO.

I find this league more entertaining than the EPL at times just not as glamourous. Most teams are Ex EPL clubs and there is always a huge scrap for the play offs. I think it should be turned into EPL2. The likes of Sheff Wed and Soonderlund have picked up a few results of late and are now not far off the play offs. Derby under Billy Davies are doing well but Cardiff have fallen of late.

Yeah Arsenal were good but Adebyour (sp) goal was onside IMO. Still well behind Man U who won again on the road against a bogey side. They are well up for it this season

Id take him but not bothered about Thompson. Ive not seen enough of him to decide how good he is but our midfield still needs bolsered
