  1. Yeah id be very happy with Graham. Eck might be ok coz he showed at Motherwell and Hibs he can deal with Scottish players better than foreigners. But i cringe at the thought of Andy Watson being assistant national manger.
  2. If it is Burns then id like to see a good assistant. Joe Jordan would be ideal.
  3. I'll be interested to see what system WS goes with on saturday and for the rest of the season. Le Guens 4-3-2-1 or whatever just never got off the ground and TBH neither did his attempt at 4-4-2. He has played the 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1 with Scotland (probably due to personel) but If i remember correctly he liked the 4-4-2 with the diamond system in the midfield at Rangers before. But he had class like Stuart McCall as a holding player and Gascoigne was the attacking man. With Barry Ferguson seemingly content with playing deep, i wonder if there is a chance for him to be the holding man and give a new signing (of maybe Buffel) the attacking role. To be fair to Buffel it is his preferred position and he has barely played in it. Time will tell.
  4. Yeah agreed. He is a 2nd hand car salesman at best, nowhere near CEO material. He has never shown much professionalism in the job. Id be embarrassed if i was him - taken a holiday instead of running a business with troubles at the time.
  5. We are going to be short upfront. Prso is retiring Novo is out of contract in May Sebo is uncertain Buffel is uncertain (not that he is an out and out striker)
  6. Football will NEVER be as big in America as it is in Europe. They are trying to buy there way into it. They should stick to baseball and Gridiron coz Football is our game.
  7. Well thats another for the Gers flop XI or Ecks flop XI. Dont think he will be remembered in 2 months time.
  8. Cant say im dissapointed they turned it down. Surely we have to set our sights higher.
  9. Are you saying no manager is better than Brown? Come on, it wasnt Berti I named.
  10. Whereas Im happy Walter is back at Ibrox it leaves the national team looking for a replacement and it will be difficult to follow in Smiths footsteps. Some of the names mentioned and thrown up will be: Alex McLeish - Possibly but i wouldnt want Andy Watson near Hampden Graeme Souness - Probably my 1st choice Kenny Dalglish - Not sure Tommy Burns - Maybe deserves a crack at it Craig Levein - No Jim Jefferies - No George Graham - Id accept him Joe Jordan - Possibly a good choice for assistant Craig Brown - If everyone else didnt want it David Moyes - Wouldnt leave Everton Anyone else?
  11. If he goes to MLS then he is selling out and is afraid of a new challenge. He would be taken the easy way out. Beckham is capable of playing in any EPL side including Man U again. There will be a few takers in Italy aswell. He'd be crazy to go to America.
  12. This couldnt be happening to a better chap than Jose
  13. Personally no i dont think so. I was just going through the squad and looking for captain material and Klos came to mind. I feel for Gavin Rae coz i dont think he'll play enough games, so it has to be Prso until the end of the season IMO.
  14. Stefan Klos anyone??? Fresh start so he might get included. WS and AM might think like us, if he is getting 30k from RFC he should be earning it. He didnt deserve to get the captaincy taken away in the first place albeit an injury.
  15. No worries. But Ally was always coming back one day in some role. Its a bit like Shearer who will be a banker at Newcastle again. I bet Coisty is wetting himself right now with excitement
  16. I think Laudrup is another who could be a great asset in the coaching set up or even as euro scout. But not so sure about Gazza which is a shame.
  17. Huge welcome back Walter! Last week i didnt think it was a good idea to come back for a 2nd stint but day by day ive taken to the idea and now under the circumstances at Ibrox he was my first choice. Lets get back to winning ways again and see the real rangers fight. And welcome back Super Ally aswell
  18. I think Walter's team will be better prepared for Euro nights after his spell with Scotland. His team went to Norway and won superbly, was unlucky away to Italy and he has beaten France at home. I think he'll have a different approach this time round.
  19. I still would like to see Gough in there for defence coach
  20. The sooner Walter is installed the better, the club has been rotten on a downwards spiral since Advocaats 2nd year. I honestly cant wait for him to be in charge again, he will sort out everything behind the scenes and has the best person to assist him in McCoist. I envy those who will be at Ibrox on saturday to chant "Super Ally" and "Walter Smiths B & W Army"
  21. I just hope he doesnt bring his relegation jinx with him. Down with Southampton in 2005 Down with West Brom in 2006
  22. Yeah McFadden was the other i forgot to put in my original post.
  23. Yeah, he is a total pro who id have in my team any day of the week. There isnt much of there players who spring to mind that ive respected but he certainly is 1. The only other i can think of would be Lambert for his play, i thought he was an great midfielder.
  24. Gutted I never got my bet on. Thats an unbelievable scoreline. I hope Baptista comes onto a game now in the EPL.
  25. Its obvious we're never going to sign the cream of the EPL but i was having a think at some of the types of players id like to see us go for. Christian Dailly - Not the best defender in the world but would certainly shout about our back 4 and give his all. Mathew Etherington - Was superb in West Hams promotion season 2 years back and started last season well but he been unlucky with a few niggles. I think when fit he could do a fine job for us in the left. Claus Jensen - Similar to Quashie but after we lost out to him Jensen could do a job for us. He has experience, is a good passer/tackler and props up with the odd goal. Massimo Maccarone (sp) - Under rated at Boro and badly treated but when he comes on he seems to score. With Dado retiring, Novo prob leaving and Sebo's future in doubt this is the type player who could be a good signing. Alan Smith - Prob a dream but would still like to see us enquire about a loan. Robbie Fowler - Again prob a dream but isnt playing much for Liverpool and i think he'd come to us in a minute. Would score for fun in the SPL
