I think people are being harsh as he has been thrown out on the left and right wings which isnt his position at all. He has only played a handful of games as the link man between midfield and strikers and does it better than any other player at the club. Ferguson cant do it, yet he isnt a sitting midfielder either. If we were to play him like this we would see a real difference adding new men on the wings: ______________McGregor______________ Hutton_____Weir______Ehiogu_____Smith ________Hemdani____Thomson________ Brown__________Buffel_______McCulloch _______________Boyd______________

So Broadfoot and Gow will arrive and Celtic done us another favour by taking McDonald away from us. They did the same with Hartley. I was one who kinda wanted Hartley but he has been poor since going there and its dawned on me he cant cut playing for a bigger team. Anyway, Kevin Thomson hasnt had a great start, Andy Webster hasnt kicked a ball, Davie Weir has been a good signing as has Ehiogu IMO, despite a bad game. But id like to see Webster sign up permanently, with Weir and Ehiogu being there for all of next season. With Papac being impressive of late, Broadfoots arrival and IF Webster signs then we can afford to let Svensson go but im equally happy if he sticks around. So all that our defence is pretty much ready next season bar cover for Alan Hutton. Gary Naysmith could also be a potential target and then we could let Ian Murray go. In between the sticks, we need a big signing or a back up keeper for McGregor - something Walter will need to think about over the near future. In midfield Sionko, Rae and Buffel will all probably depart but id rather see Buffel stay. Buffel and Sionko have talent which they dont use. An interesting debate on here the other day saw a few posters thinking it wouldnt be a bad thing if Ferguson moved on. Im one who wouldnt be upset if we cashed in on him. There is a chance he is at the route of some of the problems at the club as he feels immune to critisism or being dropped. We need a left sided midfielder to replace the inconsistant Charlie Adam with Lee McCulloch or James McFadden being my choices. Scott Brown will probably join and thats a boost for the right side of midfield. Upfront we are being linked with Healy, Koevermans and Balaban amoungst a few others. It will all depend if Sebo and Novo join Prso on the way out. Gow can also play upfront.

Im getting up tonight at 2:30am to flick between these 2 games then heading straight to the aeroport after them. They should both be crackers. I fancy Valencia to give Chelsea a good game and Roma to equally do the same to Man U. I kinda would like to see all 3 english teams in the semis to make it interesting and id like to see Man U go on and win it knocking Chelsea out on the way to a treble, with Chelsea being treble runners up I think Chelsea will win 2-1 tonight and Man U will draw 1-1.

Riise' goal was a bit of a blinder!!! He is maybe a dope for being bankrupt but he can hit a ball.

Its worse the fact UEFA havent even looked at this. A change in punishement would have been one thing but not to even pick up on it is another.

Can someone do this weeks match preview for me, as Im away tomorrow for a long weekend to HK and wont be around. Any takers??? Best to do it early friday morning so everyone can get a say on it. It will also go up on the website, just Pm to Frankie. I know im a hard act to follow but im sure a few of you are capable of a good attempt. Your spelling might be better than mine tho. Merci

Depends how Sionko plays. I was a fan of his for a while and didnt know where the critisisim was coming from until I saw him about 3 or 4 games running on TV and he was garbage. But the Sionko that started the season would be my first pick for RM.

Yeah Novo on the right and Buffel in behind Boyd

I thought these teams had ambitions of being in the Premiership again

Mmm, not sure if he will be with us next season. I actually hope he is as I still think he is one player who has skill, pace and can create many chances for us IF he is used properly.

Started the season very well and scored a few but since then has turned into a dumping so I might do a brake dance if he leaves.

The Rangers Family ââ?¬â?? Estranged or Non-Existent
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Rangers arent doing much to help the atmosphere either. Yes they brought in songs like Wolverhampton Town but has anyone actually ever heard how bad the version is?? Its totally not catchy and a total noise. Its too fast and too high pitched and sounds nothing like the original. The guy singing sounds like he is being strangled, yet the club employ him for most songs and he is absolute pish and non of the songs are catchy!! He has totally ruined this song. The original Wolverhampton Town is totally catchy and should be played at half time just before the teams come out. The start of the original is great with the old boy singing. Also the stuff that is being played over the tannoy now is so repetative and nobody is going to get excited by the same muck every week, its like someone is just throwing on the same CD every week. The club needs to get a bit of imagination. Andy Cameron announcing the teams could be knocked on the head aswell, it was ok once or twice but every game gets boring aswell and ive only been there twice this season and i was bored by him. Im old fashioned I like to hear the pitch side announcer reading the teams out 1-11. Once again all this comes back to the leadership of the club who obviously has zero marketing skills or doesnt give a monkeys. Everyone has to pull in the same direction for something to work and it starts with the club. I dont want to use Celtic as an example but there Walk-on and Hail Hail does down well for them but we dont have such anthem except Tina Turner which has to be edited coz F.T.P. will come out of the mouths of some. -
I heard the score this morning then realised it was in Eindhoven - shocking scoreline. But thats Liverpool in the Semi's ready to knock Chelsea out again

. Absolute joke!! They get away with this when a fan had pure intent to physically assault someone (Lampard) but we get fined and warned when an opposition fan makes a statement at our ground. Double standards.

Im assuming there is a California in or around Falkirk

It really is a great league and i take interest in it every season. Im going to be taking more interest next season when West Ham are back in it. Anyway this year is the most close its been, there is normally a runaway leader who are already up by now. Derby just keep plugging away and have the points on top so I fancy them to go up as 1 of the top 2. I think Birmingham are the other team for auto promotion. Sunderland have been on an unbelievable run of late but i think they will get beat soon (away to Southampton) and that will put them in the play offs. Wolves were another who were on a fantastic run but then got stuffed from Southampton 6-0 at home. I think Sunderland will come up in the play offs and Roy Keane will make them a decent side in the EPL - even though he and Niall Quinn are cocks of the highest order. BTW it should be called EPL2 as more than half the league are former EPL sides. C'mon the Derby.

As Mike says we are still having the same problems as we had with the 2 previous managers. Im not sure what the exact cause of the problems are, but i do think those who run the club have loads of responsibility off the park. But on it, I still think Ferguson is causing some issues by demanding to other players to play everything through him - we are so one dimensional. So signing the likes of Scott Brown may sound good, but will he end up being a good buy if he cant forfill his game due to the captain ordering him around? After all Kevin Thomson has started very poorly and isnt in the team ahead if Charlie Adam who has shockers every 2nd week. BF has been caught giving a few team mates rollockings this season for minor things like not passing to him when he could have been a bigger man and gave them a quiet talking too off the park. As i said, I wouldnt be disappointed if we cashed in on him and played Hemdani in the centre (maybe with Thomson aswell) and gave Buffel another chance in his preferred position then had Brown on the right with McCulloch on the left.

I wouldnt say your being harsh at all. Ive said for a few seasons that he can be a problem sometimes as EVERYTHING HAS to go through him on the park. I think he has too much of a say off the park and demands everything to go through him. Ive noticed him practically tackle his own players this season. There is nothing wrong with wanting the ball but he goes too far. Dont get me wrong he is fantastic on his day but if we were to cash in on him a few million I wouldnt be downbeat. He was a much better player when he was younger and got on with his football and worked with others around him. There is a difference between being a leader and acting the leader. At the start of this season and periods in the McLeish era when he didnt play, our midfield played extremely well.

Fook me, Gazza n Gribz both win on same weekend!!! Plus Super Ally won so not a bad weekend of betting from the Gersnet punters.

Calscot has a point to be fair. I said on the other thread this is another wake up call for Walter that the personel in the team just isnt there for a whole season. TBH id rather this wake up call at a stage where the title is over and we prepare for next season. It gives them the wake up call that we cant afford to take our foot off the peddle next season when we have leads at home to the likes of Caley.

Its reading reports like the above that im thankful for not seeing the game and nobody seems like the deserve to be called MOTM

Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Disagree Pete, Walter is a Gers legend IMO for leading us to all the domestic success in the 90s. He did get handed a good side but in 1991 he changed the face of many players in the team with the likes of Goram, McCall, Miko, then the likes of Huistra, Durie etc followed before the big ones of laudrup and Co. -
I was a little gutted today coz I was going to slap all my winnings on a Birmingham and Spurs double yesterday and id of got 1700 back. My thinking was its money i didnt have on friday. Maybe i was being a bit greedy but it was tempting, but i held off at the last minute so im happy with my winnings.
