I think this is a bit unfair. IMO he hasnt done that bad but im only going on the handful of games ive seen him in. Id certainly take him over half the bombscare defenders in the last few years. He was a great defender for Villa and Boro so he may be adjusting to the rough and tumble that is the SPL.

Nice work Frankie. I could argue with 1 or 2 scores but not the analysis. I think Ehiogu deserves more than a 3 and Ian Murray is a bit high on a 6. But Hutton and Hemdani have been the best 2 hands down.

I wouldnt bet against that now. I see Leeds are about to file to go into administration and they could start next season -12 points. - They are severley fooked!! They are also supposed to be moving grounds to the same stadium as the Rugby league team plays at while Elland Rd gets re-developed. However Im confused what they are doing to the ground, it may get knocked down as they are only renting it now.

I had a feeling for AC Milan after the beat Munich. They could also get revenge on Liverpool for 2 years ago. I wouldnt be upset if they won it, just as long as Chelsea dont. But it would be another well earned trophy for Sir Alex if he won. But i suppose im just looking forward to the semis this week especially tonight. BTW Hurlock, you missed out Bob Wilson in your list of Scottish turncoats.

yeah Wise is a crap manager. If Forest dont get promoted from League 1 then that will be a cracking game next season - Forest v Leeds

Well if your getting that one in then ive scored a real goal at 5 a sides that was better IMO

I agree with Gav and Chris here and Im one who doesnt mind taking former players back (Tugay and Lovenkrands). But its only ok if the guy is right and IMO Mols is too old and cant play 90 mins. Still a favourite of mine from his pre injury short days tho!!! :uzi: Khan

Ok, finally getting round to this! Who has praised Sebo? All ive said is he deserves more than 5 mins here and 6 mins there. And comparing his performance against Celtic with anything Boyd has done upfront on his own is laughable - Sebo showed how to ruffle up defenders. I'll do my judging on him once / if he ever gets a run of games not minutes. Of course ive praised Lovenkrands. He had a great goalscoring record in big matches. He could have went onto bigger things with us if he was played thru the middle. As for Sionko - Well I said he looked a peach of a signing but that was in August after 2 games. Since then you can look back and find my praising about him being no more than a dumpling. Buffel - Again ive said he has al lot of abililty and talent and could be the creative guy we need in the team, but again he has been constantly played out of position, so once again il reserve praise until he plays as the link man behind 2 strikers for a run of games. You have lost me here, I assume you are talking about the 92-93 team which was full of scots?? But since then what good run have we had, i certainly cant think of ANYTHING in the last 2 years and we have plenty Scots in the side now. The problem is the Scottish game / players have went backwards since the 90s and now our players (Scottish) arent good enough and if we sign them we will be on par with the teams we by them from. You'll need to explain to me where I said buying this lot of players is better than SPL players. But there are 1 or 2 in there who id take heads above what we have now. The boy Nieto look quality and scored 6 goals in a few games yet McLeish didnt fancy him Plus there was a few who didnt really get a chance in there proper position, but its nothing to do with the fact they arent scottish. That team is 2 players stronger than what we have right now (Brown and Koevermans) and IMO we need MUCH more the 2 players to improve to have our strongest team in a long time. IMO that team still has spine that im not happy with. To start the keeper isnt good enough, in centre Defence Webster isnt signed and is unproven at Rangers (so far), plus Weir is 37 and is hardly long term solution (despite being a breath of fresh air this season). The midfield has almost zero in creativity and there is still a slow over weight striker in the team.

This is true coz didnt the upgrade of 750 seats (bar72) cost in the excess of 2 million?? Imagine how much its going to cost to rip the screens out and fill them with 2 tiers of seats!!! We would need to be filling it to get the money back over a few seasons.
-
Agreed but when Walter used to play 3-5-2 he didnt have 3 strong centre halfs like we do now (ok he had Gough but thats only 1) and he used to play Craig Moore and Alec Cleland in the midfield. We were alwasy better with a 4-4-2 but this is when we had McCall, Laudrup, Gazza, Albertz, Gio, Tugay, Reyna.... But with the personnel available now i think the 3-5-2 would work better.

I saw this coming th other day when he didnt speak to the cameras, but i thought he would wait until the end of the season. It probably is time he had a crack at a bigger club to see what he can do as he has been superb for Bolton. But i dont like it if the way he has went about it is behind other clubs and managers backs.
-
I wish Stuart McCall would leave them in the summer (and even join us) as i cant stand Warnock or his players. Hopefully Arsenal hammer Fulham today but West Ham still have it all to do. Bolton at home is going to be very tough and Man U away is almost impossible considering West Hams record up there. Hopefully Man U will have wrapped the title up and will be resting all there big guns for the CL and FA cup finals. I fancied Charlton to get out of it but they are in a tricky situation. Id be guessing if i was to say who is going down but il have a stab at Charlton and Wigan.

Yeah the Neville one could get blown up into a few conspiracies He may have got an urge and a flash back just to volley it into the net!! Mourinho will have something to say about it. But Chelsea have themselves to blame. They didnt turn up at Newcastle last week and they really should be beating Bolton at home. If they did that then they would be level and we would be having the decider everyone wanted.
-
How the mighty have fallen!! They are down to League 1. Its not confirmed but to stay up they need to win there last game 5-0 and hope Hull lose by the same scoreline and thats not happening. To think they were close to winning the Premiership and CL only a few years ago. It kinda shows the strength of the Championship though. Most of the teams are former Prem teams. Even League 1 has had big clubs like Forest, Man City and Sheff Wed lately plus Bradford and Oldham as former EPL teams.

3 promotions in a row but how jammy was that to get a winner in the 90th minute to nick it and put them up. St Johnstone must have thought they were up! I feel for St Johnstone. They would do as good a job in the SPL as Dunfermline or St Mirren and it should be 2 up 2 down. Yet more nonsence from the SPL / SFA etc. Could they do the impossible and win a 4th successive league next season

Deserves a wee mention and his minutes applause was well done all over the EPL yesterday. Quite a tragic death in a way, that all he was doing was putting a bonfire out in his garden and he suffered a heart attack. I always found his high pitched voice quite annoying on five live but this is still a shame.

Great win for West ham. We need Arsenal to do us a favour today by thumping fulham then it goes down to the wire. I think Sheff U are safe but they'll go down next season (i hope). Charlton could be gone after that defeat at Blackburn and then its 1 from Wigan West Ham and Fulham. C'mon You Irons...

My coupon was absolute gash, i forgot that Liverpool would play a weakened team.
-
I wouldnt have touched Rangers with 4/6 odds today but still 45 mins to turn it round.
-
Villa and Spurs both winning aswell - my coupon is down the drain already. West Ham winning and i never backed them - they are playing amazing and should be 3 or 4 goals up.
-
What an unbelivable game. Man U were get n burried at 2-0 down and Chelsea led 2-1 and it was turned around. IMO thats the results that make Man U champions. I cant see Chelsea beating Arsenal next week and Man U will win at Man City and they will be champs. Sir Alex was hilarious during the game. Each goal he celebrated like he'd won the league, plus he was screaming on the pitch "Chelsea finished 2-2" and then after the game he went up and congratulated Phil Neville for the own goal
-
Not really coz you are dropping your numbers at the back from 4 to 3 and allowing an extra midfield man while keeping 2 up top.
-
Its ok il still maybe stick a cheeky fiver on that coupon incase it comes up. I dont even want to touch West Ham or Charlton today but you got to think they are must win games and will be up for it, but West Ham are playing Wigan who can effectively stay up by beating the hammers. Im also hoping Watford can do the common thing and pick up a win at Sheff Utd now that they are relegated.
-
I know ive always harped on about this being my preferred formation but i really think we should give this a bash especially with the personnel we have at the moment. It gives us extra bite in midfield with the physical side of the SPL plus it allows a creative man in a natural position. Id have Alan Hutton as a wing back as he has been very good in getting forward of late and i feel he could be up and down that right side all day. The only problem is whether to have Adam or Thomson on the left but Id pip Thomson in there. Personally id like to see this tried (obviously when everyones fit) ______________McGregor______________ _______Weir____Ehiogu____Webster______ Hutton____Hemdani___Ferguson__Thomson_ _______________Buffel_________________ ____________Boyd___Prso_____________

I quite like doing draws but the rarely come up. I see what your saying about Spurs mate but they are inconsistant away from home and you just cant tell. I hope they go there and win tho!! I half faniced a draw with Liverpool aswell as they will be thinking about Chelsea next week but they should still have enough to get past Portsmouth. I will have another wee look at the coupon soon and maybe pick out a different treble.
