Its not a testimonial match so we should be playing a strong team. Granted Prso and Klos deserve a send off and Gavin Rae can get a clap while warming up then maybe on for the last 5 mins. Its a shame klos has a dislocated thumb but its a bit of a coincidence aswell. But its a massive blow if Prso cant make it but im sure he could still do a lap of honour at half time. Its maybe a chance to try a 3-5-2 with Hutton out. Id play: ________________McGregor_____________ _________Weir____Ehiogu____Papac____ __________Hemdani___Thomson________ ___Novo________Ferguson_____Adam___ _____________Sebo____Boyd___________

He is right though, we havent won anything except a bit of pride back. The guys should take a bit of confidence with this unbeaten run and we need to get out of the blocks from the first game next season.

Great thread lads, this will be great for boredom we should have done it earlier. Il get a few good goals up later, I want that solo Ajax goal from last year but cant remember the name of the guy. Was is Ibrahimavic??
-
Yeah agree with the opening post. Hemdani strolls through games. Ive said it for a few months now but if he had 2 extra yards of pace I think he would be a top club in a bigger league. I dont think he needs to improve on his game as im happy with what he does and id like to see a creative player in the team but i would like to see him shoot a bit more as he has proved he can score from outside the box. He pips Hutton to my POTY as he has been consistant all season, but Hutton wasnt far behind him for his performances this calender year.

Not only was a header from Laudrup a one-off but Charlie Miller crossing a ball like that with his left foot (to quote Smith after the game) Its so hard to think that was 10 years ago, I remember going into school the next day for my last day of school in 6th year and I did absolutely no work what so ever and just walked round the school singing "9IAR 9IAR....." Memories that will never be forgotten and always seem like yesterday.

Nice one Frankie, As someone said its just the forum that could be done with a few more regular posters, but if all the current regulars dig deep Im sure we can attract "guests" to post.

Agreed on that. He looks like he should be selling fruit on a fruit stall in Londons east end. But even then you'd buy your oranges from the next stall. His is nowhere near good enough for a club the size of Newcastle. But the whole thing stinks, we all know Allardyce likes a bung or 2 so its poor that he quit Bolton with prior knowledge that he was to get the Newcastle job. I expect Bolton to be shite next season BTW.

I could never work out why they never came to Ibrox for the game!!

I watched the Rangers v Celtic game and bits of the Hearts v Aberdeen game yesterday and Crockers voice just does my head in something silly, it goes right through me. It has no tone to it and his accent just isnt right for an SPL game. As for Tott Booth he is the biggest panzy ever to play football. They shouldnt have got rid of Jock Brown and Mark Hateley. Good commentators are few and far between these days. It could be worse we could have that dummy from the BBC Paul Mitchell - he is the most depressing guy on earth. Peter Brackley who used to do Football Italia on Ch4 would be a good addition or the boy on BBC radio scotland David Begg is pretty decent.

Im happy he got the goal but just scoring one goal doesnt change my opinion on him. Apart from the goal he did nothing, but Sebo gets slated and he came on and had 2 or 3 good runs at the Celtic defence. I still think Sebo is the better all round player but he just needs to find the net. I also still want to see them play upfront together for a run of games.

Liverpool lay down to fulham with a 2nd string team which was annoying coz fulham have been rank lately but one win and now they are save. It could get messy in the courts but I dont think West Ham can be docked points now, its the EPL that the clubs are going to sue with. The Villa result was great to Sheff U need something from there last game with Wigan to stay up but I can see that cock Warnock thinking he can let Wigan win as West Ham will lose at Man U and send the hammers down. But Spurs will relegate Charlton tonight and the Hammers are staying up - deservedly!!! How good is Tevez!!
-
That was probably the best league in a long time. The competition is massive and only a few weeks ago there was about 8 teams going for the play offs. I hope the winners of the Derby v Southampton play off go up to the premiership.
-
They have no stability as a club and are rife with dressing room unrest. I used to like Newcastle in keegan's days but they have been a pain in the ass in recent years with all there moaning. They chop and change managers all the time. I can see Allardyce in the job soon and maybe Shearer as his assistant.
-
Throughly deserved as they were the best side over the season by a good bit. And my bet comes up!! They were a steal at 5/1 in August then the bookies moved them into 3/1 but even that was a good price.
-
They need to get rid of Ian Crocker and Scott Booth :uzi:
-
I didnt see this coz my TV coverage cuts off seconds after the final whistle, I actually thought this was going to be about the 3 hours he deliberitly took to tie his laces and put his gloves on. What a fud waving a flag. I actually hope he is still there next season as he isa over rated keeper and it will be a pleasure to see him lose more OF games next season.
-
Toughest choice of the season so far in a good way. Hutton pipped it for me ahead of Hemdani and Weir. But it could have been any one of 7 players. Im happy for Papac to come good with that performance.
-
Yeah he squared up to Lennon but was about 6 inches shorter and he looked a roght little tit. Hutton was class - just said bye bye
-
Nah i dont agree with that. As i said above those english players could have played on the continent no problem for european competition. David Holmes and Graeme Souness did the business in bringing them up to Ibrox.

Get in there Man Utd!! How good was that Van Der Saar save from the late penalty, i would have loved to have seen Mourinho's face at that! Finally a pen against Man U and if it goes in the Chelsea could be back in the title race but Vassell fluffed it! C'mon the Arsenal today! We need Man U to have the title wrapped up so they rest players for West Ham next week. But the Hammers were superb against Bolton and really should have battered them 5-1. tevez was awesome first half. We are a different team now and playing great stuff. Fulham are out of danger. but hopefully Spurs nick a draw at Charlton on monday and thats them down. Then next week we'll only need Sheff Utd to beat Wigan at home to guarentee there own safety and West Ham stay up!!!! C'MON YOU IRONS
-
Newcastle and Hibs cost me but i prefer 2 teams letting me down than 1! I should have known better than Newcastle - they are shite
-
Yeah but Wigan will still want a fee of some sort if we are to sign him, and im sure the clubs along with the player will come to some sort of deal. But Hearts have been cut out deal and cant hold either club to ransom. They will get there 625k and IMO he is worth more than that.
-
Thats 1 donkey away, about 3 to go. Ok he got a nasty injury which is never nice but he just doesnt have the abililty to play for Rangers. But fair play to him as he always showed committment and had a good attitude especially during the Ferguson / PLG saga as he was put in the difficult situation by being made captian and then got it taken away from him. I wish him well wherever he ends up.

Nice and simple this week - all homes: Rangers 5/4 to beat Celtic Everton 5/6 to beat Portsmouth Newcastle and Owen 6/5 to beat Blackburn West Ham 11/10 to beat Bolton Hibs 4/5 to beat Kilmarnock Aston Villa 10/11 to beat Sheff Utd 654 quid back from a tener
