P.s I just hope justice is done and the Premiership dont dock us the points. Sheff U deserve to go down and that should be final.
-
....West Ham Utd We were in no danger of going down by points, we end up with finishing only 2 points behind Newcastle!!! We did the double over Man U and Arsenal this season!! How many teams can say they have done that. We did our job and won 7 out of 9 games including wins at Emirates and Old Trafford (both games 1-0 with a goal right on half time). All this after that defeat to Spurs. Tevez is a star and I hope we can retain him but a word has to go to Robert Green, I've watched West Hams games against Arsenal, Man U, Bolton and Wigan and he has been outstanding especially at Arsenal - he should easy be Englands No.1 But now those sulky bassa's Wigan and Sheff U will be hoping we get docked points for the Tevez affair and go down.
-
Couldnt happen to a nicer chap!!! The cock had an interview before the game saying "Im sure Man Utd remember 1995 when West Ham stopped them winning the title" and after the game he slags Man U and Liverpool for playing weak teams in the last week. He obviously went into the game thinking Man U would win so therefore deserves to go down. They are a championship side at best. The Wigan owner is a cock anyway so Id off been happy either way as to who went down, but the Hammers did there job!!! The commentator said it all "When the fixtures come out in the summer Sheff Utd will be looking at ties against Barnsley, Colchester and Scunthopre rather than Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal"

On page 4, 2nd on top, you can clearly see its Middlesboro but ive tried about 23 spellings and it wont tick.
-
I think its a shame, as Frankie says id of liked to have seen him play in the last 2 games.
-
Where did you hear this Buster? I just read the team news and it says he has recovered from tonsilitis and may play.
-
Thats what I was going to say, have even a pay as you play deal. He doesnt need the cash as he is worth about 60 million with his property plus he has made a fair whack with horses. As someone mentioned earlier class is permanent and if he fanices a last challenge then I think he'd easy get 15 goal for us in a season. He turned 32 last month so really should still have a fair bit of fitness if he gets himself in the gym. But id take him if the deal was right as he is probably in the top 3 best finishers in EPL history.

Its no contradiction, what im saying is most judge on goals, but I judge on performances aswell. People talk about Boyd like he is some sort of world beater. The SPL is a poor standard and Boyd has scored 1 goal in open play away from Ibrox. His goal against Celtic was his first in 5 games - so his isnt banging them in every week and we all know about his all round game. Im not going to mention it anymore or il be soon be accused of being on the wind up simply for my opinion
-
I just see something in Sebo in the few minutes he gets here and there and i think he could develop into a good player. He is physical, strong and fast. The only thing he hasnt done is put the ball in the net yet and thats where he will get judged.
-
Im not fully blaming Boyd, I blame the manager to play him upfront on his own as he isnt ever going to do things upfront when he is on his todd. Also instead of comparing the 2 Id actually rather see these 2 play upfront together. On one hand you have Sebo to do all the chasing, running, laying off and Boyd to put the ball in the net. Id want to see excitement and goals - the 2 arent mutually exclusive! Butim not going to turn it into another Boyd thread and Im not the only one who thinks he doesnt do enough.

Agree with Gav and Pete, Hutton totally deserved but not Adam. Lets hope Hutton carries on the way he is playing and takes it into international games. He has stepped up this season and is head and shoulders above anyone else at RB - way above Alexander. Jack McNamara has been a good servent for Scotland but its time to hang up his international boots and step forward Alan Hutton for the next 10 years.
-
Id go with your team Calscot except upfront Id put Miller in ahead of Boyd for his Scotland record / performances (thats gonna make me unpopular) but McFadden in there for sure!!! The midfield looks strong and it still has Hartley and Quashie to come into it and MaFadden can also move to left wing. BTW - About time Hutton was in the Squad - I hope thats him cementing his place long term!!
-
I like Gordon when he replaces Traynor on "your call". That show is full of depressing alcoholic tims talking guff and they call up to try wind Gordon up but he always puts them in there place. Good scoop Frankie - did you interview him yourself? Also surprised about the manager bit - was he tongue in cheek when he said he is waiting to be offered the right deal? BTW Ive heard that he is bald as a coot and thats a wig he wears - can anyone confirm

This is last chance to have a flutter including EPL games this season and it will be my last coupon of the season as I'll be away next week. I will probably have a flutter in the FA cup final though. There are also 2 Champioship play off games this weekend and I fancy 2 draws Southampton 6/5 Draw 2/1 Derby 2/1 Wolves 11/8 Draw 2/1 West Brom 7/4 EPL odds: Bolton 8/11 Draw 12/5 Aston Villa 3/1 Chelsea 4/7 Draw 5/2 Everton 4/1 Liverpool 4/11 Draw 3/1 Charlton 6/1 Manchester Utd 8/13 Draw 5/2 West Ham 7/2 Middlesbrough 4/5 Draw 11/5 Fulham 3/1 Portsmouth 7/5 Draw 9/4 Arsenal 6/4 Sheffield Utd Evs Draw 12/5 Wigan 2/1 Watford 11/8 Draw 11/5 Newcastle 8/5 Spurs v Man City TBA Blackburn v Reading TBA With that I fancy Man U v West Ham Draw 5/2 Arsenal to win at Portsmouth 6/4 Sheff U v Wigan draw 12/5

I think it would be harsh on Sebo to lump him to Killie, simply coz he hasnt had a run in the team. 90 consecutive minutes at parkhead is the longest he ever got to play and you cant judge on that. His 29 mins against Celtic last week was more exciting than Boyd has been all season.
-
I dont know what happened to Sionko, but the guy that turned up in the first few games of the season is a better footballer than Adam.
-
That goal is unbelievable!!!
-
Lol, your not kidding!!! They both look like something straight out of celtic boys club - couple of young buftys!!! As for the strips they are a fookin eye sore.

http://msnsport.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=465822&cpid=8&clid=111&lid=&title=Whelan+demands+Tevez+proof What a pain in the ass he is with situations for both my teams. His JJB group already domanate what the Gers do with our merchandise and now he is having a cry about the Tevez situation again simply because his team look like they are going down. I'll be looking forward to the Hammers complain to the EPL when this weekends results are match fixed so West Ham do down. Its obvious Warnock has probably reminded Sir Alex that West Ham have cost them titles in the past so he is playing a full strength side. Then Sheff U will lie down to Wigan so they both stay up. But West Ham are good enough to get a point at OT just now.
-
I think those who are saying Adam should be first pick are over reacting. If we look at his overall season then he has been absolute mince in certain games. Granted, he has popped up with a few decent performances of late and weighed in with his fair share of goals, but if we are to improve as a team then he must be at the top of HIS game EVERY week and thats after he has improved as a player. Id keep him in the squad though as back up to our new left sided player - whoever that will be.
-
I dont think we need yet another defender. I know Weir and Ehiogu are getting on a bit but with Svensson, Webster, Broadfoot and Papac we are more than covered.
-
Bit of a silly comment to suggest people would think like that, pure timmy mentality
-
Enjoyable read Cammy, I was only 9 that season but remember those games well - Especially the OF wins and Mel Sterland scoring the first 2 against Hearts at Ibrox. IIRC you missed out the last OF game of the season (april 89) when we won at Parkhead for the first time in 7 years. Ian Ferguson blasted a 20 yard free kick which bounced off the bar and then a scramble between Bonnar and McCoist resulted in one winner - Ally stumbling the ball over the net!!! BTW agreed about Gary Stevens, we havent had a RB in his class since. We have been blesses with Davie Robertson and Arthur Numan at LB but nothing close to Stevens at RB. But the way Hutton is playing now.......
-
Good post Mike, and it will all depend on who is heading out the door along with the ones we already know about. IMO we should be signing a keeper. Who, I dont know, but id take Dudek on a free transfer if we could get him. Id be a little surprised if Papac left now though as I think he could be a regular next season. It will be a tough choice between him and Smith for RB if Papac continues to improve on recent games. But at centre half we are covered enough if Webster signs and Svensson stays. Can Ian Murray play RB? Thats the only position we really need cover for in defence. Hutton has been immense this year but we need cover for him. I think Ian Murray may be surplus to requirements as he is isnt going to get neat the starting XI, he will be 3rd choice LB, 6th choice CH and about 7th choice midfielder. I hope Buffel stays unless we get an equivalent type of player. I hope we get Scott Brown, Lee McCulloch and another striker.
