Yeah but did they actually play while illegal as they didnt feature early in the season? Confusing one and the in's and out's havent really been made clear. The Mascherano one is double confusing coz he moved to Liverpool - who did they pay for him? Who owns him? But as far as West Ham are concerned they did things what they thought were legal. Plus Magnasson and Curbishley inherited this so its unlucky that the chairman has to cough up the money.
-
yeah but I was wondering coz a few people have said if he wants to come to us then he will. But Hibs can turn down any offer from us as they will expect higher bids from the EPL clubs - possibly double. Just depends if Hibs want to play the ass or not.
-
err...Do you want to check the date of that post??? Slightly just before McDonald signed for Celtic and when he was closely linked with us.
-
I forget if he is under long contract with Hibs or is it up in the summer?
-
Good pics all the same. 2 genuine world class players and its not likely we'll see the likes for a while. Im glad they got a send off but pity they didnt play. I hope Dado gets a couple of years in a league that isnt as physical. Maybe even Klos may get a contract somewhere.

Not sure if he is right for Man City but can see Pearce leaving. I think Man City could be with a big name who has experience at higher levels. Jewell did well last season and has done well to get Wigan up to the EPL. As for Allardyce, I heard on the news that this is supposed to be announed later today.

It will be interesting to hear his reason. Id understand it if they went down.
-
West Ham didnt cheat on the pitch. The fine was the Premierships appropriate punishment and not points deduction. Im not 100% sure of the in's and out's but I dont think he ever played while illegal so therefore cant be deducted points. Im confused over Mascherano aswell since he signed for Liverpool. Who did they buy him off etc...
-
Yeah I know, they fielded a strong team and finished with all there big players. Only Rio Ferdinand was rested altogether. Plus they have a FA cup final to think about which is more important
-
Cant blame him working for that embarresing chairman.
-
I disagree Juff, when 50,000 turn up the players should be putting 100% effort in. Yes, a young player or 2 could be given a chance though!!

Fine piece Frankie: I kinda like the idea of this formation but its obviously makes us blow hot and cold so therefore should be looked at in the summer. This is so typical Rangers. I backed them on my coupon yesterday but at the time I got a gut feeling I was doing the wrong thing. It is yet another lesson and reminder for next season. My only worry is that games like this will be forgot and we will get more lessons next season. Smith HAS to remind players in situations / games like yesterday. This angers me a lot. The average joe on the street often tries to get as fit as possible by using local gyms etc but when these players are being paid silly amounts of money compared to the average punter not only to be an athelete but provided with state of the art facilities its just wrong. Smiths first era was a different situation - they still went out on the park and did the business despite enjoying a drink but some players at the moment are acting like big time Charlies just pocking the cash. Smith needs to get tough with the team on the fitness side of things. First I heard about this and thats a disgrace. What a couple of plums. They definatly need to explain and I hope the club hammer them with fines. Selling them is bit drastic but this is unbelievably disrepectable of the highest order and not acceptable. My personal opinion of Boyd is at a low anyway and this makes it worse.

I didnt actually realise he was only 21. But it depends where he wants to go, Chick Young has said its a done deal that he is coming to Ibrox. I still think we are in with a chance of him.
-
Hopefully Pete!! He certainly is the most exciting player we have been linked to. Is he the sort of player than could form a partnership with Darcheville?? Id be happy with our strikers next season being: Koevermans Darchville Sebo Boyd Novo
-
P.s I just hope justice is done and the Premiership dont dock us the points. Sheff U deserve to go down and that should be final.
-
....West Ham Utd We were in no danger of going down by points, we end up with finishing only 2 points behind Newcastle!!! We did the double over Man U and Arsenal this season!! How many teams can say they have done that. We did our job and won 7 out of 9 games including wins at Emirates and Old Trafford (both games 1-0 with a goal right on half time). All this after that defeat to Spurs. Tevez is a star and I hope we can retain him but a word has to go to Robert Green, I've watched West Hams games against Arsenal, Man U, Bolton and Wigan and he has been outstanding especially at Arsenal - he should easy be Englands No.1 But now those sulky bassa's Wigan and Sheff U will be hoping we get docked points for the Tevez affair and go down.

Couldnt happen to a nicer chap!!! The cock had an interview before the game saying "Im sure Man Utd remember 1995 when West Ham stopped them winning the title" and after the game he slags Man U and Liverpool for playing weak teams in the last week. He obviously went into the game thinking Man U would win so therefore deserves to go down. They are a championship side at best. The Wigan owner is a cock anyway so Id off been happy either way as to who went down, but the Hammers did there job!!! The commentator said it all "When the fixtures come out in the summer Sheff Utd will be looking at ties against Barnsley, Colchester and Scunthopre rather than Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal"

On page 4, 2nd on top, you can clearly see its Middlesboro but ive tried about 23 spellings and it wont tick.
-
I think its a shame, as Frankie says id of liked to have seen him play in the last 2 games.
-
Where did you hear this Buster? I just read the team news and it says he has recovered from tonsilitis and may play.
-
Thats what I was going to say, have even a pay as you play deal. He doesnt need the cash as he is worth about 60 million with his property plus he has made a fair whack with horses. As someone mentioned earlier class is permanent and if he fanices a last challenge then I think he'd easy get 15 goal for us in a season. He turned 32 last month so really should still have a fair bit of fitness if he gets himself in the gym. But id take him if the deal was right as he is probably in the top 3 best finishers in EPL history.

Its no contradiction, what im saying is most judge on goals, but I judge on performances aswell. People talk about Boyd like he is some sort of world beater. The SPL is a poor standard and Boyd has scored 1 goal in open play away from Ibrox. His goal against Celtic was his first in 5 games - so his isnt banging them in every week and we all know about his all round game. Im not going to mention it anymore or il be soon be accused of being on the wind up simply for my opinion
-
I just see something in Sebo in the few minutes he gets here and there and i think he could develop into a good player. He is physical, strong and fast. The only thing he hasnt done is put the ball in the net yet and thats where he will get judged.
-
Im not fully blaming Boyd, I blame the manager to play him upfront on his own as he isnt ever going to do things upfront when he is on his todd. Also instead of comparing the 2 Id actually rather see these 2 play upfront together. On one hand you have Sebo to do all the chasing, running, laying off and Boyd to put the ball in the net. Id want to see excitement and goals - the 2 arent mutually exclusive! Butim not going to turn it into another Boyd thread and Im not the only one who thinks he doesnt do enough.

Agree with Gav and Pete, Hutton totally deserved but not Adam. Lets hope Hutton carries on the way he is playing and takes it into international games. He has stepped up this season and is head and shoulders above anyone else at RB - way above Alexander. Jack McNamara has been a good servent for Scotland but its time to hang up his international boots and step forward Alan Hutton for the next 10 years.
