  1. Unfortunately I fear a bit for Gazza, I dont think he can be helped due to his depression. He has been in how many clinics for treatment. He was just born to play football and outside the game he cant do anything. Shame as id love to see him get back to a bit of health and get some weight on himself again as he could teach at any club in the country. He isnt manager material but he could certainly be a coach somewhere.
  2. See Gav!! When you dont put bets up here beforehand they come up!! Im well up for the season and ive only put about 3 or 4 of my winning predictions up here. Somebody on here is a jinx when they read them and they cast a spell for us to fail
  3. Footballers are becoming to distant from society now due to fame and money. 20 years ago you'd see players taking public transport to training but now its all about Aston Martins and massive 4x4s. That doesnt excuse Kromkamps hiding, he doesnt deserve that, but the public see players as something else these days and when assholes who cant control themselves see an opposition player this is the sort of thing that happens.
  4. It had to happen, no business can spend that sort of money which was over their head. If they were spending it and going into the red it was crazy in the first place. Fair enough if the money came direct from Roman but it wasnt, he was just being guarantor by the sounds of it. They have more than double Leeds debt Roman is obviously getting bored and wants to go somewhere else. Lampard will move on and we'll see how much a mediocre player he is. He wont be much without his Chelsea buddies, he is useless for England and will be average elsewhere. On the other hand John Terry will get into any club in Europe.
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/6696543.stm Miller, Beattie, McFadden and Pressley all drop out, but only Dailly called up!! Thats 3 strikers dropping out so id assume a striker should have been called up!! We only have Boyd and O Connor IIRC, as McCulloch will be playing left as McFadden is out. Surely Naismith, Riordan or even Dickov should have been called up even just to give them a bit of experience travelling with the squad to Austria. I know its the Faroes after the Austria friendly but its still a must win game.
  6. Nice one Derby, I didnt realise the game was on telly here until half time so i stuck 15 quid on Derby to win 1-0 at 9/2 so thats another win under the belt!! And it was a cracking game to watch, one of the fastest 45 mins ive ever watched and thats with a bet on
  7. I didnt know Bobby Carlyle was a bluenose either!! I thought he was a Thistle fan or a mhank. Good man!!!
  8. David Sneddon - haha!!! Didnt realise Redknapp was a Ger. And i wouldnt mind taking Carol Smillie to a game or better still watch it at home on the sofa - she is one tasty woman!!
  9. Should be close and Derby were unlucky not to go up automatically. I want Derby to go up as I quite like Davies and Boab Malcolm is there, and i dont mind derby as a team anyway. West Brom are boring in the premiership as is Birmingham, and with both them up to join the likes of Wigan the EPL will have some drab teams in it. I'll maybe have a wee flutter on Derby,
  10. Thinking about it, Celtic tell Aberdeen to do this 4 times a season
  11. Gribz

    signing rumours

Same here but not for 20k a week. If he was fit then he would score for fun (if he gets service) but if he is injured its too much. It should be a pay as you play deal or a 12k a week with 4k a goal.
  12. And its just dawned on me, you answered your own post
  13. Are Travis Bears?? I thought they were tims. But who needs rock stars when we have Toadie from Neighbours. But we have nobody in partnership, Spirit and Shanghai deals were a marketing thing.
  14. Its not match fixing coz AZ could still win the game, but it makes the others try harder and is a bit poor of Ajax and it shouldnt be allowed as teams should only do there own motivation. Maybe if they were good enough all season they wouldnt have to rely on others.
  15. How can you say that? Ive been winning quite a lot recently. Most recently the CL final tip - I said 2-1 Milan and 8/1 and nobody took it. Im well up for the season on bets
  16. No Craig, matches must have kicked off already. Neither ladbrokes or coral websites had italian games on the coupon. Never mind, I had a quick scan of the EPL prices for next season. Liverpool are 9/2 and Arsenal 6/1. Both are possibly worth a punt coz Liverpool are going to sign big and Arsenal will improve for sure - Wenger wont allow another season like the one past.
  17. Holy shit, im away to ladbrokes website now to see if they have the same odds, if so il be backing that
  18. He isnt going to Arsenal by the looks of things, they signed the Polish keeper they were after for about 2 million
  19. Tener down the drain but at 8/1 I thought id have a flutter on Dunfermline. How thick is Hartley: Eh - You havent been there a full season you dummy :uzi:
  20. No, after the pattern ends a new one begins C'mon the Pars
  21. I definatly wont be watching. They played 3 years ago and it was utter shite. My only hope is history repeats itself, Dunfermline last won the cup 39 years ago and they were also relegated that season. If the Pars play like they did a few weeks ago they might give Celtic a game, and I have a sneaky feeling they could get a result. Im going to back my winnings from midweek on Dunfermline to win the cup. But the good news is that we will be back at Hampden next year to lift the cup. Symetry (sp) and patterns are coming into football a lot just now. To name a few: (Chelsea last winners of FA cup at old wembley / first winners at new) (Liverpool first and last winners at Cardiff) (Milan CL winners 03, losers 05, winners 07) So Rangers last cup final apprearance 2003 - winners The following year was Celtic v Dunfermline final then 3 years later the same sides meet (today) which means Gers back at Hampden next year.
  22. Yeah agree with the comments above. If we do have a "link" then hopefully something surfaces this time rather than the Northern Spirit / Chinese thing. Lets get there promising youngsters across on loan and vice versa. The US game is on the up with Beckham going across and there seems to be a surge in fat cats buying out UK clubs. As long as they stick to the current set up and dont think that long term they can merge the european game with the major league then Ive no problem with it.
  23. Fair play to Gow he played a day after learning his grandfather passed away! He certainly would have been out to impress and would have been putting in a 200% shift. I posted on another thread the other day, he is the only bosman I have a good feeling about, I think he can be a good vertisle player for us. He reminds me of a old fashioned scottish winger.
  24. Id be disappointed to miss out on him but if they are asking silly money then we arent going to go down the same route as Celtic. Id pay 1.8 million tops for him.
  25. Its not the team id go with even if its a friendly. Davie Weir is 37 and been great for us but the last thing he needs is to be risked in a friendly when we could be trying out a different partnership. He needs a good rest over the summer. Svensson may play ok as it wont be a rough and tumble SPL match. Id have went (on the basis Hemdani is available): _______________McGregor_____________ Hutton____Svensson___Webster____Murray ______Ferguson___Hemdani___Thomson__ _______Novo______Boyd______Gow_____
