  1. I slipped the SPL a tener to do this for the 2nd year running Celtic on New Year - about time that fixture returned.
  2. I wonder if Henry will be there next season to wear it!! :fish: Arsenals best away top was the dark blue O2 one a few years back, that was a great top.
  3. Great defender who should have went on and played many a game for us. But didnt he do shite as blackpool manager?? Anyway i hope the big man does well, not that i give a cheese puff about Clyde
  4. Called my mum today and she told me she was in london last weekend and ordered me this top from the West Ham club shop.
  5. Id much rather see Fowler in the team than Boyd then have a strong pacey forward like Darcheville or Sebo playing behind. Class is permanent and Fowler's finishing is up there with the best. He knows how to be a penalty box striker.
  6. Papac has been ok of late and has shown he can be quite useful as CH cover and he did fine at LB. As for Sebo, he must stay and PLAY so he can prove everyone wrong. I still think him and Buffel can still do the business for us. Those 2 are the sort we need to play upfront on european away games when we hit on the break as the both have pace and skill.
  7. I quite like that, il be posting off for one of them but in a medium size!! Talking of Lennon Craig, I heard he signed for Forest in league 1. What happened about him going to the Premiership :fish:
  8. Our only tiny hope would ever be a loan deal but its a pipe dream. Spurs want him and can afford 50k a week. IMO he will sign a long term deal with Man U.
  9. "A penalty kick attempt" I used to like when soccer am took the piss out the yanks commentating. They really dont have a clue. Anyway, good to see him scoring a double.
  10. Who's Barca playing? Madrid should do the same. Seville shold double that to both opposition
  11. It could also be that the club arent being ambitious enough or Murray is refusing to spend anymore than he has to. In january when Walter came we were all looking forward to a few more good additions in the summer that followed his few good buys then. It may just be a case of being a bit more patient but the signs arent good at the moment as all we seem to be hearing is us getting told to up every bid we offer. But we may just may pull off a shock signing yet. To be fair to Smith and Murray then have operated like this in the past by keeping deals quiet until they are done deal. Plus they are still on holiday at the moment, things may get busier when Smith gets back from the States.

Those 2 goals were classics. I should have used Salenko instead then!

Im still not fully understanding everyones wish for Naismith to sign. Is he really that good? Personally I put it in the same boat as Kevin Thomson, Kris Boyd, Broadfoot and Gow - players who add to the squad but dont impress me for a title challenging starting XI. In Thomsons case we need midfielders who can tackle and pass but you could count on one hand with a few fingers left over how many games he impressed in since January. But the rest just remind me in Cleland, Bollan, Bo Andersen and Co from Smiths first era.
  14. I agree with this statement however IMO it should refer to the SPL players we have been linked with as they kinda fall into the catergory. We dont know if they be able to make the step up and even if they do keep there club form from their previous club can they make the next step up to challenge for the title PLUS help us make an impack in Europe. Europe is 2 levels up for these players. TBH we should be at least on an even playing field with the 3rd and 4th seeded teams in the CL and we should be up there amoungst the top seeds in the UEFA. It just gets me wondering if the guys we have added and are linked with so far are good enough. But nothing has excited me at all yet.
  15. Its not a bad fee unless he is absolute Guff. He could be the sort of gamble worth taking, only time will tell. PSV and Man City arent the worst teams in the world so they had to spot something in him however I still have barely heard of him but I hope he isnt a passenger like recent signings. Is he a left or right sided player BTW?
  16. 30 quid isnt actually too bad considering its Chelsea and Ajax, i expected about 50 quid. But the club have still went about it the wrong way and use the fans again into money making.
  17. Whos responsible for the amount we offer for players? Is this Murray or Bain? It seems Beasley is the only player we've managed to tie up on the cheap but by going with Pete says is coz PSV are offering him away.
  18. Im pretty sure this is the boy I read the other day aswell as Beasley. Never heard of him myself.
  19. Thats out of order the fans should be given the choice. What price are they anyway? They should have some sort of package where if you buy one you get the second ticket half price then at least some people may see that as a bit fairer. Or if both games were part of an ibrox tournament over 1 weekend its a bit better. But it wouldnt surprise me if the package was 50 quid which is ridiculous for friendlies, its not like Chelsea will turn up for a CL game.
  20. Its now almost mid-June and there hasnt been much to report about except rumours which havent surfaced. But another thing that Ive been thinking about is the "Outs" leaving Ibrox. Only Gavin Rae has been confirmed as gone. Prso and Klos were going anyway but that leaves a number of players with doubts. Maybe someone can shed some light on the situations with Buffel, Sionko, Sebo, Novo, Burke, Svensson, Papac. Thats a fair number of players to have doubts over. Only Gow, Broadfoot and Darcheville have came in. Even Webster hasnt signed yet (as far as I know). So the club have to get there finger out as Pre-season starts in a few weeks and its best to gather a full squad rather then people come in at the last minute. Is SDM waiting on all the season ticket revenue to clear the bank before allowing Walter some funds? So who does everyone realistically want to come in?? Personally I'd be disappointed if only Beasley and Naismith follow into Ibrox, IMO we wouldnt be any better off than last season. We need 2 semi-big names to replace Prso alone and even Big Dado was only half fit last season but still the name we all wanted to see first on the team sheet. Lets hope the Koevermans rumour isnt dead and buried. He is the main target IMO. After that then we need a wide player. McCulloch is still linked and id take him but I wonder if James McFadden would be a better target or asking Man U for Kieran Richardson on loan. I think we are ok in defence but a keeper is still badly needed IMO.

Interesting Pete, we certainly dont want another Capucho or Sionko on the wing. We need someone who is going to play week in week out. Talking of Sionko has he moved onto France yet or still with us? I think the Naismith situation will come to a head this week. I honestly get the feeling if he signs it will be a bit like when we signed Kenny Miller. But if he comes in for a decent price (750k) then id be ok about him being a back up striker.
  22. That would be a great addition for the national team. He has unreal pace and can play right, middle and left. Hopefully he follows Quashies footsteps.

Is Beasley that bad Pete? Ive never seen him play, cant say I even recall him being at Man City last season. Apparently we are also in for one of his PSV team mates but cant remember who it is. I'll try and find it again.
  24. Thats nuts. It would be worth buying a Season ticket for Barca just for the Madrid game alone. Im sure you could get cheap flights across and the trip including hotel etc would be the cost of a wee holiday and you could stay for a week anyway. Then you would always get the option of CL tickets.
  25. Madrid for me also, I tipped them at the start of the season. So far ive got the EPL and Serie A right so La Liga will be a hattrick, pity I only had Man U on at the bookies. Madrid go in on top for the last game on head to head basis even tho Barca have a better goal difference by a mile.
