Ive often thought about that as any sport goes straight into the bluenose. But we should keep the football room seperate for footy only chat. IIRC we tried a merge before.

Sounds like Friedel rates him anyway and by that comments its what we are crying out for. McCulloch also coming would mean our left sided problems are gone as we'd have Beasley, McCull, Gow and Adam. Still not sure on Naismith though.

I see what Craig and calscot are saying but the bold bit above is where the management should come in to erase any doubts. If Walter turns round to Boyd and says keep your chin up you are part of our plans than he is going to be confident in his own ability, but he may still want better players in other positions. But if he isnt good enough it would be bold of a man to accept that he isnt good enough for Rangers first XI and admit a better man should come in. Its also about the desire to win. From a personal point of view if my best mate was in the same team as me but he just wasnt good enough id want a replacement to come in to improve the team. That guy would still be my mate after hours. Bottom line is the team hasnt won anything for 2 years so that tells me they arent good enough so improvements need to be done all over the park. That doesnt mean replacements that means the current crop improving also. So the players attitude should be how to resolve the situation regardless if they will start next season or not.

Yeah thats kinda the way Ive been thinking, they are doubling his valutation which throws things about a bit. But I agree he is a regular international and plays week in week out in the premiership and I think he would be well above average in the SPL. At first I thought 1.8 million would be a fair fee as the clubs are meeting each other half way. But if we go to 2.5 million you have to think could that money be going elsewhere on a better player. For eg I think we would get McFadden for that whom IMO is a better player. But McCulloch would still be an asset for us IMO

Reading that you'd think we have about 10 million to spend. But with Smith being back from his holidays then things may start to pick up. This Webster saga is a confusing one but at least we'll have him on loan. Cuellar would still be a good signing and these 2 may be exactly what we need. I was really hoping for McCulloch for a long time but ive started to wonder off him a bit at 2.5 million. I think he would be a good signing for 1.2 million. Beasley looks a good bit of business. Faubert could be a pipe dream.

Doesnt sound like too much interest to me I agree I cant see him being there if Smith hasnt even spoke to him - bit harsh if its true. At times last season Id have agreed with you and said he should be playing well ahead of Burke, then I saw him in a few games and he just never touched the ball - he was shocking. But prior to moving to us he looked ok (same as most players), and he looked a gem in the first 2 games - I just dont know what happened. It may be a case of another that got away or it could be a case of giving a French team a dumpling - my jury is out on Sionko but a bit like Buffel he has some talent.

Webster, Papac and Hemdani can fit in there. I think we have enough cover for this season but id be more confortable with 2 younger centre halfs being first choice. EDIT: I forgot to add Gow in the opening post for Winger / Striker. I also see nobody picked up on it though

Things with these quizzes (same as the strips one), they are good but it doesnt accept certain spellings which is a pain in the ass for me and Gav

Just running through each position for the team and IF (big if) the Beasley and Faubert transfers went through we would only be maybe a right back and keeper away from having good all round numbers. GK - McGregor / Robinson and possibly Graeme Smith to come in as back up? The fans are split on whether this is good enough or not, but whatever happens we have the numbers there again. Its just my opinion but id prefer a keeper with higher quality to come in. RB - Hutton is a hands down starter but Lowing hasnt nearly had enough games. He may make the step up next season but someone with a bit more experience may be the better option and allow Lowing out on loan for a season. This the the one position we need another body. LB - Smith / Papac / Murray - plenty cover, we could even release Murray. CH - Weir / Ehiogu / Broadfoot / Svensson - Plus Papac and Hemdani can fit in and Webster may sign on along with either Cuellar or Todd - enough cover there but a long term partnership needs to be resolved. Centre midfield - Ferguson / Hemdani / Thomson / Buffel? - 1 or 2 injuries would see us in a bit of bother here and Buffel is still not confirmed to be staying nor is a centre midfielder unless he is infront of diamond which is unlikely to be played. Would Quashie be a good signing here? Wingers - Burke / Sionko / Adam / Gow - They are the 4 currently on the books but Beasley and Faubert would be great additions and allow Sionko to leave making Burke and Adam good back ups. Novo can also play there. Strikers - Darcheville / Boyd / Sebo / Novo / Lennon - Every team needs 4 and we have that at the moment although Sebo and Novos futures still not confirmed. It may be we add here but time will tell. Young Lennon could make the step up this season. Gow can also play there Conclusion - So I would like a keeper as a priority. Weare linked with Danny Mills at RB, this could be a good loan signing if it could work that way to allow the development of Lowing. We are ok for numbers at centre half but age is against a few of them and there isnt a long term partnership, although I dont think its a top priority this season as Weir easy has this season in him.

Watched a few clips of him on You Tube and he looks a bit of a player!! He is right sided but gets in to the box. I'll wait until he has signed on the dotted line but the options of having him and Beasley makes things a lot more interesting.

This could be quite amusing if he signs.

Gribz replied to fraser54's topic in Rangers Chat
Its not a personal vendata (sp) on scottish players, i just dont see enough in him to say he could be a great. The scottish game has went backwards over 20 years and the players just arent in the same mould as Coopers, Goughs, Gorams, Durrants, McLeishs etc -
Always thought Maclean should have got a chance at Ibrox as he scores goals but Rae was the most average player ive ever seen in a Rangers shirt. And I thought Rae wanted a move to England, now he has ended up in Wales :fish:

You cant be serious about that!! -
Its a huge blow to the premiership though he is an awesome awesome player when he turns it on but still an arrogant cock. But 16 million? Carrick and Hargreaves went for 17 million Henry should have went for at least 28 million. I can see Wenger following him. But i can also see Arsenal come good aswell without him. Anelka and Tevez are linked as a replacement, but Tevez is a hammer
