1.8 million Id rather go for someone out of the SPL. Players like this wont improve us. We should have a better set of players than Hibs. If a Hibs player is coming to us and getting in the first team than says we are average.
-
Good signing this IMO. A young highly rated centre half. If Webster comes good then we could have a good partnership on the making. BTW, how do you pronouce his name? Is it Kewlar? or is it Kooler?
-
No probs thats 2 pints you owe me
-
Your right Sebo doesnt deserve ANOTHER chance, he deserves a first chance
-
Nope, I cant see where I mentioned that. I said maybe keep Sionko for the right until we get a replacement
-
Holy shit, i never knew they were back already. So Sionko, Buffel and Sebo are all training. Im pretty pleased they are stil there, i think they all deserve another chance but in Sebo's case he deserves his first chance . We are short on the right so its best keeping Sionko there until we get a replacement.

When does the team report back for pre-season training? It cant be far off as the league starts 4 weeks tomorrow. IIRC we are going to Germany for 3 games then play Ajax and Chelsea at Ibrox in that time. Then the CL qualifying games cant be far off aswell. But with everything just round the corner we must get 2 new first team players in to settle. I dont like the delaying of things at the moment as players have the incentive of CL football if we get them before the qualifiers, but should the diasterous thing happen of not making it through the qualifiers then none of our targets will want to come this summer. We have good numbers at the back but nothing steady for a long term partnership as Weir and Ugo are a combined age of 71 and Webster is still only on loan so Cuellar would be a huge boost.
-
Walter must be getting pretty peed off with the low bids. Surely he must have been told what his budget was and then he identified his targets but the club cant match them. I hope we get Cuellar, id rather put the Naismith money into this and then drop that interest and turn our attentions to a right sided player or an attacking midfielder.

What are you smoking?

Pretty upsetting if he goes as he is awesome, i thought at 23 he could stay with west ham for another season. But he deserves a team like man utd and they are going to be scary next year, i can see them doing a clean sweep.
-
I think he was maybe trying too hard at times when he was losing control and he desperate to show what he can do. In previous clips ive seen of him his control was much better.
-
I wid! But just looking at Sebo, if he worked in a baker he wouldnt get near a burd. Im telling you folks, Sebo is going to come good for us but I wont say I told you so!
-
I thought he was going to America, did they knock him back also?
-
The 3 man panel found Sheff Utd a bunch of hammicks and thought Neil Warnock was a total cheese so they go down and the Happy Hammers stay up Warnock - :moon:

Easy Easy Easy Easy ...............

Imagine that!! They would be getting shirts made up with his name on!

This should be interesting. Taking the list, type whether you think he should be a first teamer / squad player / sold. Im looking forward to seeing peoples choices. 1. Allan McGregor - Squad player 2. Alan Hutton - First Team 3. David Weir - First Team but not for much longer 4. Thomas Buffel - First team if he gets his finger out if not sold 5. Sasa Papac - Squad player 6. Barry Ferguson - First Team 7. Brahim Hemdani - First Team 8. Kevin Thomson - Squad player 9. Kris Boyd - Squad player 10. Nacho Novo - Squad player 11. Charlie Adam - Squad player 12. Ugo Ehiogu - Squad player 14. Libor Sionko - Sold unless he gets finger out then dont know 15. Alan Gow - Squad player 16. Graeme Smith - Squad player 17. Chris Burke - Sold 18. Ian Murray - Sold 19. DaMarcus Beasley - Untried 20. Jean-Claude Darcheville - Untried 21. Kirk Broadfoot - Squad 22. Andy Webster - Untried 23. Filip Sebo - Untried 26. Steven Smith - First Team 28. Antoine Ponroy - Squad So by my choices we are well short of players who should be in the first team and who are good enough for Rangers.
-
Im superstitous with numbers or maybe old fashioned but a number 6 should be a centre half. I think Ferguson should wear 8 and Buffel should have a number in the double figures. Thomson should wear 4. But I preferred the old 1-11 as now if you get the line up on TV you see your strikers being 3rd or 4th in the list and working out the formation takes ages.
-
Yeah thats exactly what is and I bought last years 3rd and away top but Im not buying it this year as I dont like a new kit coming out every year. They should be for 2 seasons. I dont like the V next anyway.
-
Even if we did get Smith who is going to create and set up the chances for him? We need a pacey right winger with skill and power and a creative player unless Sionko and Buffel come good. Smith would be awesome but how can we compete with Spurs and Middlesboro who will offer him 50k a week.
-
But Alan, we have to realistic, its the sort of player we will end up going for. We cant compete with premiership sides with funds so the likes of Hull are the sides we could end up being against. Playing for Hull would probably more difficult on a weekly basis than playing for Rangers. The championship temas are way better then our SPL oppoents bar Celtic and maybe Hearts. I noticed Dennis Rommhedal (sp) is being released by Charlton, thats another type of player we would probably go for.
-
Its something Sebo hasnt done yet because he cant score when he is on the bench. Its a lot easier to get goals when your getting 8 chance inside 84 minutes rather than scoring with 1 half chance in a 6 minute period when a game is already finished. And the bit about Boyd being compared to McCoist is still laughable, he isnt in same league. Mols was prolific but got injured. Rod Wallace was more prolific and so would have Arveladze had he been played upfront.
-
So we finally get cover for the left midfield after years of having nobody in this position. We now have Beasley, Adam, Gow and even Thomson who can play there and Lee McCulloch will be another if he ever completes his move. But all of a sudden our right side is vacant. Sionko wants out as he and Smith dont talk and Burke is not up to the job over a season as he is weak and injury prone. 1 or 2 fans have said Sionko should be gievn another chance and im all for given players a 2nd chance so this one is all about opinion. However, Faubert would have been the answer and in typical Rangers fashion we lost out on him due to Murray and Bain. The player was begging to join us and even went on strike to try and get his deal. But Faubert must be forgotten now although we wont forget the reasons why he never signed. And if we see him flying in the EPL next season it will be a sickener. So who do we turn our attentions to?? Is there anyone realistically out there who we can go for. I seriously am racking my brains thinking if there is anyone affordable because IMO he needs to be a first teamer. I know I might get pelters for this but Ray Parlour is a free agent. Ok, he is 33/34 and would be another stop gap signing but his experience wouldnt do us any harm and I still think he could do a job in the SPL for a season until we identify someone. He cant be any worse than Burke anyway!! Suggestions?

So willyou go or will you boycott??
