Will do Pete....I was actually hoping for a trip to Glasgow as Ive not been to Ibrox for 13 years (scary) but seeing we had a game in ABZ was quite a boost. I'll drop FS a note, for sure I'll be in town that week.

Hi chaps, Im probably going to be in abergreen for a week in Feb. I was looking at the fixtures and realised we are playing there on Wed 6th. Im not sure / cant recall the rules about asking for tickets but is any Gersnetter going along to this and if so would you have a spare brief?? A few drinks would be bought in return....Drop me a PM if so.

By far the coldest place Ive been to at this time of year although it was March so your going even colder. For this match I would hope Gerrard doesnt go with the strongest XI considering the league matches coming up, yet can still give a few of them a run out off the bench. Lafferty upfront should be more than capable of doing enough to see off a team 5th in the 4th tier. But Id have an eye on Kilmarnock away next midweek.

Lets see how many I get wrong this week. It really is becoming an unpredictable league. Wolves 2-1 Leicester Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham Liverpool 3-0 Crystal Palace Man Utd 2-0 Brighton Newcastle 0-0 Cardiff Southampton 1-1 Everton Watford 1-0 Burnley Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea Huddersfield 0-5 Man City Fulham 0-2 Tottenham

No way would Man U go for Southgate, the fans wouldnt have it. England didnt exactly excite at the WC and they only beat average teams. As soon as they played a good team they were always second best (Belgium and Croatia) (And you could throw Colombia into that also)

Immense talent but he makes Balotelli look like a saint. -
Some decent games this weekend. Marko Arnautovic has thrown a spanner in the works prior to the Arsenal game with his brother saying he wants to go to China - I think he wants the 200k a week for 6 months then a move to a champions league club - yet he was a bit of a hit or miss winger when West Ham took him, its the one good thing Moyes did and made him a striker. West Ham 1-2 Arsenal Brighton 1-2 Liverpool Burnley 1-0 Fulham Cardiff 2-0 Huddersfield Crystal Palace 1-1 Watford Leicester 2-1 Southampton Chelsea 3-0 Newcastle Everton 1-1 Bournemouth Tottenham 1-1 Man Utd Man City 3-0 Wolves

Im sure Talksport were at the wind up but after the 9-0 they asked the question is it disrespectful and should teams take the foot off the peddle after maybe 5-0 and should have played the kids from the start. No way in a competitive game they should. Many teams like Leicester made multiple changes in the FA cup last weekend and got slaughtered for going out. If City had many changes and not been up for it they would have been battered in the press. If they started to take the foot off the gas at 5-0 then everyone watching including their own paying fans would have got bored with them kicking it around in midfield, I say well done to them for keeping on going and giving their fans value for money. Now they can play the kids in the second leg and rest players for their busy schedule as they are going for all 4 trophies. I dont like when clubs thrown billions at trying to win things but at the same time they still need to put together a team and play well. City are now going into the elite bracket and Pep is a bit of a class act. I hope they win the league ahead of Liverpool and having 4 Premier Leagues will see them join Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea in the top Premier League era clubs for sure. Although If Spurs can win it that would be some achievement!! (Anyone but Liverpool ? )

Very difficult to predict and have a bet in this cup now. Teams make 7 or 8 changes. The value of it has really gone. Even the final is more commercialized and having a 5pm K/off ruins it more. They should put the Semi finals back to neutral grounds like Villa Park. At least Liverpool are out, another trophy they cant win. I was hoping their next games after city was a league match as I thought they would have a hangover from that defeat but that could be it out the way now. Brighton away could have been a tricky one but I think they will get back on track now.

I thought the same. Also "It's disappointing this has happened and we certainly won't tolerate anyone, no matter who it is, being abused in our bar." - I thought it should have said we wont tolerate the people issuing this type of abuse and behavior.

Both are very clever and shrewd signings regardless of age. They are still Premier League level players. And Defoe's deal is 18 months which isnt a stop gap, we have essentially signed him for the remainder of his career. Bournemouth are unlikely to recall him in the windows they have after signing Solanke from Liverpool for 19million - someone we were linked with. TBH Id prefer the real deal in Defoe than Solanke, his goal scorer instincts means he will hit the ground running and can only be a help for Morelos on the training ground. We are going to give it a real push this season but looking further forward when everyone is fit next summer we have a strong looking group and this season was all about getting closer - the fact we have a genuine chance is even better. -

Feck me I love these matches...there is absolutely nothing to fear and we are due a win. Call me spoilt from the 90s. Good preview Frankie...interesting Lafferty on the left though..... -
Roger that mate...will do.

To only concede 7 goals at the half way point is unfortunately impressive. I really didnt want to see Liverpool win the title again in my lifetime but it looks like this is their year. In saying that Klopp hasnt won anything and does lose a lot of finals therefore a City comeback could still be on the cards. The game next week is massive. And if Arsenal could turn up at Anfield tomorrow night and get something then that would be a boost. But Arsenal are about 5 players short at the moment.

Who is doing the Celtic game? I havent done one of these for donkeys but as the games here arent on TV now I would struggle with team news / player form etc....

I'll have a wee bash... Rangers 3-2 Celtic Morelos FGS and agree with Franc (hat-trick). -
Refering the title, was the title the actual expectation this season? For me it was all about closing the gap and that has obviously been done. The fact we are in an actual title race is a bonus. Its certainly still a possibility but we have to dig deep and win on Saturday - end of. SG is still learning as a manager.

Still another game tonight at Southampton but here we go for the weekend. Brighton 0-1 Everton Fulham 1-0 Huddersfield Leicester 2-0 Cardiff Tottenham 2-0 Wolves Watford 3-1 Newcastle Liverpool 3-0 Arsenal Crystal Palace 1-2 Chelsea Burnley 1-0 West Ham Southampton 1-3 Man City Man Utd 3-0 Bournemouth

Wow City - whats gone on there. Spurs awesome again, they will miss Son when he is away but they are right in it. I would prefer to see Spurs win the league than Liverpool but I think it could be done and dusted now. liverpool will thump Arsenal on the weekend.

Thanks. That doesnt sit well. Something should be rectified there as looking back he was probably what made Goldson look so good. -

My viewing of games is very restricted as overseas viewers will appreciate but can someone explain to me why Katic is not first pick? Every game I watched in the early part of the season he was hands down the best centre half. -
Indeed. They have Bournemouth and Wolves at home (Wembley) on Boxing day and Saturday, they MUST get 6 points from that! Then a very winnable game away to Cardiff while City play Liverpool so 9 points from Spurs has them right in the mix.
