  1. I havent seen the game but I think McLeish got the team very wrong. I also think his squad picks were wrong - Murty shouldnt be near the squad and i dont rate Alexander. That 2 along with playing Fletcher was wrong. IMO Dailly should have started or even Barry Robson - whats he in the squad for? Had Dailly played it could release the likes of Maloney a lot more. We needed a strong solid performance and we were too light weight in the personnel. But its not over - we have to beat Italy
  2. So this is where is kinda collapsed. It was a game too far with the players being brought in and those not being fit. I was annoyed when I heard the score this morning. Its easy where to start to point some needless blame but Im wondering why Dailly didnt get the nod to play a more holding role because Fletcher was NEVER going to be match fit. We missed McCulloch and Browns pressance and strength whereas we missed Hutton and Naysmiths quality compared to Murty and Alexander. WTF is Murty even in the squad for - McNamara is still a better option there. What makes things worse was the French were jammy, only scoring both there goals in the last 12 mins. So now its a massive cup final against Italy. Its going to be hard and we will need one helluva performance from our strongest XI but we can win it.
  3. Early reports of the line up: Gordon Murty McManus Weir Alexander Maloney Fletcher Ferguson Pearson McFadden Miller Not bad!!
  4. Its good to be wrong sometimes 2 goals in 4 mins from Russia 2-1
  5. Russia are getting to edge of the box a lot but there final ball is shocking plus they have 2 men in there against 8 england players - they could try all night and they wont score. England are going to Austria and Switzerland - but Portugal will be there to put them out on pens for a change
  6. There hasnt been much light shed on him recently regarding his injury. He seems determined enough that he will come back. Hopefully gets to see those specialists sooner rather than later. I dint think he should rush but Im looking forward to him hopefully getting back to fitness.
  7. Boring game with no chances so far. Russia started bright but England weathered the storm. Cant see much or any goals in this one. EDIT - Rooney just scored a peach
  8. I've always knew fraser was a 41 yr old coal miner from Hull
  9. My copy of "The Ultimate Rave" from 1991 was on tape - cant find it for the life of me - absolute classic!
  10. Coral's bets" Hoddle and Souness may be a decent bet.
  11. 11/5 with Ladbrokes. I fancy them myself.
  12. Gordon Bennett - Tough one to judge. Unfortuantly I see 0-0 or 1-1 but will go against my thoughts and say 1-0 Scotland.
  13. This was a mis match from the beginning. Jewell will be a contender. I bet that twat Warnock is regreting taking the Palace job the other day :fish: He probably will be thinking he would have been in with a shout.
  14. But thats when there is money to be made!! As i learnt the other night with MK Dons and Darlington. Im going to have a punt.
  15. I bet McManus is looking forward to a game of touchy-feely with the 17yr old striker :fish:
  16. I can never find these things or get them to work. Everytime ive tried i end up downloaded tons of stuff and never getting the game unless i pay a fee.
  17. Scotland come in a bit to 4/6 like I thought they would. But i still expected something like Evs or 5/4 to tempt the punters with a bet. Still not sure about my bet yet. I'll wait to see the line up.
  18. Because its on the BBC I cant watch it due to contractual rules - bollocks! The England game is on though so il make do with cheering on the Russians while watching the Scotland score on the vidiprinter. Im looking forward to it anyway
  19. Mo Malpas was incharge - what else can I say!!
  20. Chick Young being the pessimist (sp) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/7046694.stm I think we still have 2 bites at the cherry. If we beat Italy at Hampden are we not through whatever the score against Georgia is? If we need something from that game then Hampden will be absolutely rocking and im sure we will get it. Scotland are now like what the OF are in europe at home - a nightmare for any opposition. I do think that game should have been considered being played at Parkhead or Murrayfield to get another 10,000 or 17,500 fans in though. Chick's articles are normally decent reading but he is guff here.
  21. Or unless France only draw in Ukraine.
  22. Yeah he is another who does better for Scotland than at club level - a bit like Kenny Miller and James McFadden. I rate all 3 on there day, and one thing you know you will get with Dailly is commitment - you cant forget his German rant:
  23. The midfield is really concerning me, its so lightweight and the likes of Teale arent that experienced. Teale is a Vogts player - same as Dobie, Kyle and other bouff he played. I never thought id be saying Im hoping Dailly plays!! I used to rate him as a centre back but the last year or so he hasnt kicked a ball. But he can do a job in the holding role. Brown is going to be massive miss coz Fletcher isnt 100% fit to play on the right. McCulloch is a blow but Maloney and McFadden can play left. But if Pearson plays like he did against France then il setlle for him on the right.
  24. Against Lithuania to confuse them
  25. Any spares then?? I can get a flight for 500 quid so would be up for it!
