Unfortunatly yes, I dont think he will play for us again which is unfair as he has never been given a chance. I just hope it doesnt come back to bite us. I also cant work out why he wasnt given a chance, he actually showed bits of excitement in his game and IMO was the kind of striker we needed in big games to rattle opposition defenders.

Guys, Super_Ally and Ascender have both done fine jobs in my absense in the past, and 1 or 2 like to get there prediction line up early aswell. So Im happy to share this role out especially as I always get last minute team news over here and miss the odd suspension etc. There will be plenty games coming up due to the Gers being in 4 competitions so if its ok with everyone I will draw up a roster for the Previews. Im looking into going to Stuttgart. There are daily flights from Singapore to Frankfurt then I'll just jump on a train to Stuttgart, or use airmiles to go to Amsterdam then same again to Stuttgart, or get Pete to pick me up and take me there :cheers: How good would that be - 11 hours of boozing on a plane then straight to the German bars to get tanked before a game!!

An Italian win would have been good for us yesterday as if it comes down to head to heads we have beaten France and lost against Italy so far. That means we would have to beat Italy and then it comes down to GF. But if we nick a point against France then we have better overall head to head against them.

3rd. Croatia are pretty much home and dry as they have another easy game on Wednesday and with Russia playing England it should be enough for them to qualify. So 2nd place is a fight between England and Russia and they have to play each other twice!! Game on!!

Yeah 3-0 and Owen's goal was pretty good but must have been a mistake. The press seem to be over reacting like they have qualified, I hope Russia take them back down to Earth on Wednesday.

Yeah Maloney is an option aswell as he has a bit more pace to help support McFadden. Pity Quashie isnt fit, we could be done with his battling in beside Ferguson and Brown. Good news is that Henry is suspended and the game is at Parc de Princes rather than Stade de france. There hasnt been too much thought into it has there The idea is good but it has to be more catchy than that. Ive always liked Simply the Best being blasted out over the tannoy before a game but the minority even ruin that song with the add ons. The Original Wolverhampton Town should be played, its awesome, rather than that joke of a copy that is played before games just now.

Could be played at a smaller venue like Ninian Pk for the NI games, would create a better atmosphere.

Kind of agree with this and I havent been over impressed with any of our performances since Eck took over but he is still getting the results which is the important thing.

Great result for the lads, it would have been wrong it we dropped points on the diving Hearts player. McFaddens goal was cracking, he really should be the first player on the team sheet. He is another who plays better for Scotland than at his club. A draw in Italy with France wasnt the best result, we could have been done with one of them dropping all points but Ukraine drawing in Georgia is a huge boost but reminder it will be tough for us in Tbilisi next month. Now we can turn our intentions to France in midweek. If we could nick a point it would be fantanstic and a draw in Ukraine againt Italy would be the icing on the cake. I think we are capable of getting a draw but we have to flood the midfield. Anyone had a flutter this season? I was raging last week. Had West ham, Newcastle and a draw with Bolton and Everton - fooking Everton nicked a win in he 91st minute to blow my coupon. The previous week, West Ham drawing with Wigan at home cost me 7 homes for about 300 quid from a fiver!!! Im not betting today with the internationals, there isnt anything i fancy.

Yeah agree with first sentance that it is the formation and probably due to the lack of "a" creative player. However I really see Fergusons position as a thing that can hold the team back. He still cant decide if he is a defensive or offensive player and he still plays too centre centre (not left / right side of centre) for my liking which kills of Thomsons or Hemdani's game and takes out another position. Im not saying Ferguson should be dropped, just relocated in the line up. Id still like to see a diamond formation at home with Hemdani or Thomson in the holding role and Buffel or Gow given a crack at the attacking role.

I agree Boyd has raised his work rate and is putting himself about a bit more, but IMO he is still far off from being good enough. He doesnt beat a defender nor create anything. If Cousin is playing with Darchville then he doesnt have to throw himself about so much as JCD will do the work for him, but Cousin offers more than Boyd.

Yeah. And dont you think Cousin is much more mobile than Boyd??
