I worry slightly about them if they get injuries to their big players but as Gav says they do have strength in depth now, its just that nobody has heard of them. Diaby and Gilberto arent getting a game at the moment in the midfield and Eboue has moved from being a full back to an attacking midfielder. I would pay to watch them everyday of the week and despite being a Hammer they are the other London club Ive always had a soft spot for the Gooners since I stayed there. Im looking forward to the Liverpool match on sunday and hopefully they put Rafa in his place. They won at Anfield twice last season so more of the same.

Its going to be Gary Megson. I think I'll stick some cash on them to get relegated. Why anyone would appoint him is beyond me. He is another one of these managers who cant manage in the Premiership like Bryan Robson, Warnock etc. He was only in charge of Leicester for 6 weeks and they still only managed 1 win. Why do Bolton not have any ambition anymore. Im not a fan of Allardyce but he is a good manager and Bolton should be pushing on after him rather than going backwards. It crossed my mind last night that Sir Awex may come knocking as a replacement for Neville. Give him a new 5 yr contract and break that wage structure that saw us not getting Scott Brown - Give Hutton 20k a week, he is well worth it.

Ps In this era we arent a match for them financially due to the scottish league being on stand still during the 90s. Also we are coming off the back of a poor period and are still re-building. Under current circumstances a draw against barca is a great result in the same way as our results against Lyon and Stuugart, Scotlands double v France and Celtics win over AC.

I disagree as I look at it as we are in the comp to do as best we can. Its no longer a knock out competition now. If it was then I can see the argument for having a go at Barca in a one-off game. But its a group stage now and its all about accumulating points. Whether it should be a group stage of a knock out competition is another argument but we should be aiming to finish as high as we can in the group and if that means a backs to the wall performance against the big boys (while already beating the other 2 teams) then I'll take that.

What can you say about them at the moment. They are getting even better. People were questionning them in the last year and if Wenger had lost it but he has unbelievable long term vision and its paying off now. They are clicking all over the park and for this to be a total different team to the invincibles of 2004 yet still playing the best football on the planet just shows Wenger is a genius. Its still early in the season and I worry about them if they do get a good few injuries. Even Theo Walcott is onto a game and looks exciting at the moment. The one thing that lacks Wenger compared to Fergie is title counts - Fergie 10 Wenger 3 but Awex has been there a decade longer. But It should be 9-4 as Arsenal threw it away in 2003 rather than Man U winning it IMO - That Keown og at Bolton did it! They have Liverpool and Man U in there next 2 games so this will show how far they have came.

Tough tough choice but seen as Cousin was up all on his own and put in one massive shift I'll give it to him. I thought the back 4 were superb. Weir and Carlos won loads of headers, Papac did very well also and Ive already praised Hutton on another thread. And Huttons save in the first half would have made John Terry proud Thomson got stuck in well in midfield and whereas against Celtic I thought his play was simple but ineffective I thought the opposite last night - very effective, shame about his booking which rules him out of the next game. Ferguson started the game brightly but didnt get on the ball as much in the 2nd half. I think this was due to him playing 10 yards further up the park hoping to get on a break, plus he was probably breathing out his ass after the running he did on Sunday. Nacho, Adam and McCulloch got stuck in well and the latter 2 defended very well. Cousin ran his socks off and won loads of balls and free kicks in their half. All in all the team got a deserved battling draw IMO. Ok Barca had about 17 shots but nothing was on target.

Its a tough one to say if he is the best in Europe but I dont think he is playing any worse than ANY fullback in the WORLD at the moment. And I cant speak highly enough about him at the moment. We're going to have to give him an improved contract. He is as important player as we have and not only is he superb defensively but he gives us a great option going forward. This boy can go anywhere he wants he is playing that well. Ive always rated him before his leg break and around 18 months ago I didnt like people being on his back but I NEVER thought he would get this good. Im a huge fan of his attitude aswell, he is as cool as a cucumber.

Big Eck was happy with it on Sky last night. He said he pushed for it and he thanked all 4 clubs who backed him. You have to applaude the decision and as Eck says it free's up about 10 players. You cant count for what happens between now and that weekend but at least he knows 10 players arent going to get injured that weekend. He said now all he needs to do is get Sir Awex to postpone Man Utds game that weekend to give Fletcher a rest :fish: Getting Everton and Derby's games off is as important.

Arsene Wenger has once again proved how good a manager he is. Getting rid of Henry at the right time. The guy done wonders at Arsenal but was getting in the way of them progressing due to his demands that he be the main man and everything played to him, his way. Arsenal are romping in every game and have been threatening to do a 7-0 to every team they have played so far. They sell there best player for 16 mill yet they improve hugely. If Lehmann didnt mess up at Blackburn they would have won every game so far in all comps. I think henry will totally be looking back wishing he was still at Arsenal and with a different attitude aswell. I actually thought he looked a bit dangerous on the ball last night but his body language stank the whole night and he didnt deserve a goal. I think he is 1 superstar too many at Barca.

What a complete bellend. But you have to think that if this was a Gers player saying that about Celtc then they would be pulled up by the SPL and fined for offensive comments.
