Ive had a few shandys and thought I havent started one of these for a long time. The Davie Robertson thread from last week got me thinking. Im having Robertson ahead of Numan. And would I be wrong to have Klos ahead of Goram?? Klos was absolutely amazing but Goram had 8 years. Right back is a problem. Klos Porrini Gough Moore Robertson Laudrup Gascoigne McCall Albertz McCoist Hateley

Hmm not sure mate, Spurs seem to have thought ahead. Yes - London stadium is awful. To think Spurs wanted that. To be fair Leyton Orient missed it also and lucky them! I still dont think West Ham should have left Upton Park, Im not believing they couldnt have rebuilt it. Sullivans???

Arsenal fecked it up again. What was Ozil doing throwing his coat?

Have you ever seen anyone so patronising as Sutton? -
Yes agree. It blows Emirates away and is as modern a stadium as you will get. Its very USA style but still a football ground. I bet they are laughing at not getting the Olympic stadium now which is a joke of a football ground.

I should have had a flutter last night, I was going to do Man City, Spurs, Chelsea, Aberdeen, Livingstone, Rangers, St Johnstone, Celtic all wins and draw Hibs v Killie. 85/1 and after losing on tuesday night I decided Id hold off.
-
Spurs surely had to win that last night, Id have backed them 2-0 aswell. Split Games this weekend. Friday: Southampton 1-1 Liverpool Saturday: Bournemouth 1-0 Burnley Huddersfield 0-2 Leicester Newcastle 1-1 Crystal Palace Brighton 0-2 Man City (FA Cup) Sunday: Everton 1-2 Arsenal Watford 2-3 Wolves (FA Cup) Monday: Chelsea 2-1 West Ham

Arsenal sitting nice in 3rd. 10 points behind Spurs in Feb but 2 ahead now. Looking at the fixtures though Spurs have a good run in. Arsenal have tough away games - Everton, Watford, Leicester and Wolves. The typical Arsenal of the last few years wouldnt pick up much more than 4 points with those.

Gregory Vignal was co-commentator on RTV and I was impressed with his passion. 2nd half was much better and at stages yesterday we looked like the team playing an extra man. At first glance with Jacks chance I couldnt believe his effort but from the other angle it came to him a bit awkwardly, he didnt get a chance to turn on it. But that would have been the one that changed the game. McGregor immense again, some amazing saves. The one he tipped round the post from Tiernay was top notch. I hope we can still squeeze 2 more seasons out of him. -
Liverpool getting in a habit of last minute winners, there is nothing worse sometimes! But it makes the title race still interesting. I think they will drop points next up at Southampton, they are playing for safety and will be able to get a point. Luck can only go on so much. Shame for Cardiff yesterday, robbed at home to Chelsea. But there is a title race on and with Spurs awful form there is 4 clubs fighting for 2 CL places. Spurs have collapsed, they were miles clear and now will be 4th only on goal difference if Arsenal win tonight.

If the linesman sees the elbow he has to see the trip. Collapse again. I don't know why Katic isn't first pick and I'd have played Kamara from the start. -
Seems like an age: Fulham 0-3 Man City Brighton 1-1 Southampton Burnley 1-1 Wolves Crystal Palace 2-0 Huddersfield Leicester 2-1 Bournemouth Man Utd 2-0 Watford West Ham 2-3 Everton Cardiff 1-2 Chelsea Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle

Its a case of the had to give it but having Phelan around also has been huge. With Ferguson being so successful they had to go back to his guys. He still has a lot to do to get Man Utd near to City though but if he adds a world class centre half along with a player like Bale then they will be closer next season.

Robertson was brilliant and Ive no idea why he didnt get 60 caps for Scotland, he was easily the best LB in the 90s. I went to the same school as him although he had left by the time I got there and tried to start up a Davie Robertson Harlaw Supporters club in the 90s, it just didnt get the right numbers as most of us were still at school.

Im just surprised its not only Rangers fault ?
-
Quoted from KT direct ? Whom should be part of the next set up BTW. I said as much in the paragraph above you bolded. Id switch to summer football for a start, it would only get youngsters out playing more than in the winter anyway for an absolute minor start. Was just about to PM you anyway mate.

Juve were 16/1 before the Atletico game, I should have jumped on it. Signing Ronaldo is probably going to be the difference between constant runners up and winners. I think its between them and Barca. Liverpool to go through. Barca to go through. City to go through. Juve to go through. Barca to beat Liverpool in the semi 1 Juve to beat City in semi 2.

Nobody can question his footballing ability but since becoming a pundit he is just a misery to listen to. The "class of 92" just dont seem to be able to cut it at maangement. G Neville was a disaster, P Neville has gone into the ladies game, Giggs - jury still out and Scholes jumped ship after 30 days.

Alan McRae is his mate hence getting the job. McLeish was sacked in England, Belgium and Egypt and wasnt being considered for another club yet Scotland take him on. Its gone backwards massively and id say Strachan was doing OK. Even my Mum was sitting with me half hoping it would be funny if Kazak went on to score again. I know a lot of fellow bears have lost interest in Scotland for various reasons for a long time but I was a bit later and in the last 12 months Ive lost interest in them which is a shame. I seriously wouldnt be surprised with San Marino outdoing this and getting something on Sunday. You just look around Europe and see countries like Belgium and Netherlands rip up the current book and start again to produce good sides. The Spanish and Germans obviously have done it with better players. Yet look at all the former Yugoslavian nations who are only 25 years old and produce quality from somewhere. Eck is part of the problem but its far deeper than just the coach. A new younger fresher coach would help and it could easily be foreigner, Vogts has put a spanner in that idea wrongly IMO.

Poor Gers. Not only did it let my accumulator down tonight for 400 quid but thats 3 wins Aberdeen have had after not winning in around 28 years. The last thing we want is to have hoodoos over Aberdeen and Hibs. I still cant work out why Katic isnt first pick. He must be thinking this also considering Worrall is a loan. That leaves a potential hole next season.

McGregors timing was obviously well thought and a bit of a middle finger to the SFA. As Scott says with his names (his generation before mine) - did the names in the past probably underachieve?? Even in Euro 96 Broon used to get a bit of grief for his selections (Gough and Robertson should have been starters) yet he got us to tournaments but we was always a bit of magic short. Goram Hendry Gough Weir McNamara Ferguson Lambert Collins Robertson Durie McCoist

Really. Who exactly? -
Great win for the Arsenal. To think if Auba had put that pen away against Spurs last week they would be above them in third now, when a few weeks ago Spurs had a chance to go 2 behind the leaders - a big collapse at Spurs. Spurs still have to go to Anfield and City but Arsenal dont have to play another team in the top 6, they should be favorites for top 4 now. Utd still have City and Chelsea to play. Chelsea still have Liverpool and Utd away. I think prediction of the week goes to yours truly Southampton 2-1 Tottenham ? But a good shout from Compo on Newcastle. I was glad to see them come back as Pickford shouldnt have been on the pitch when he saved the penalty.

Have they gone mad? They cut Rangers allocation for league matches which they can do although its only for bitterness, yet for the cup match they have shot themselves in the foot for income by trying to be smart. After doing this what exactly did they expect RFC to do for the replay? The only worry is if the replay allows 50/50 split of cash because there will still be over 40000 bears in the home support.
