  1. Was shocked to see a 3-2 win for Birmingham. Luck certainly follows McLeish around does it!!
  2. I was unaware that the lyon game may be off. If thats the case Id be more up for calling off the Gretna game.

    Big Jock Knew...

Agree with Cammy here. Its similar to the 9/11 situation where the media claims the families of the victims dont want to hear any conspiracy challenging the official lies but this is nonsense. A huge percentage of families (who have refused pay offs) are all for re-opening the investigation. So im sure the families involved here may be offended by this being swept under the carpet. If it was me personally id be more angry with CFC rather than anything else.
  4. I would personally say it doesnt need to be postponed but come the Lyon game I would probably think it was a decent idea if it does. However I just dont want to see this sort of thing taking off round the country and in europe or games will be postponed left right and centre. The Scotland game was a one-off and a situation for the national side to be again wont come around for a long time. I also think the every SPL game should have been postponed that day and not just the OF games to keep in line with fairness. No way will my team above play against Gretna but it shows that we should have enough options to rest our important players or take them off after an hour or so. However if we were playing Hibs away (for example) then I think there would be a much louder voice to postpone that game, i think maybe its the view that we are playing Gretna and should automatically win.

Yeah hopefully.... but i still would prefer him to be more of a back up for the full backs as I prefer a more attacking option on the right midfield than him.
  6. If Scotland lost any of our preferred starting XI then our next lot of players drop down a level and we were up against the world champions and trying to qualify for the first time in 10 years. We are playing Gretna in a tournament that comes round every year and Lyon are in the same boat in the french league. This team wont play against Gretna but even if it did it should still be enough for a win. _________________Carroll_________________ Whittaker____Ehiogu______Broadfoot_____Papac Naismith_____Faye______Thomson______Adam/Gow _____________Boyd_____Buffel____________

Cheers Ian Whittaker took his goal very well.
  8. Liverpool v Bolton Tottenham v Birmingham Aberdeen v Hibernian 2 homes and a draw for me although i wouldnt rule out a hibs win today. I'll be interested to see Birmingham today with Big Eck in charge although its his first game and he hasnt really had time to work with the players. He may get a reaction and Spurs do have a dodgy defence. Bolton have been impressive under Megson which has surprised me and I think they will stay up now, but I do see Anelka moving on in January (for a change).
  9. Yip top 2. No 2 teams stand out from any group. Czech and Portugal would normally stand out in group A but Switz are at home so will run them close. Those groups make it much better for the neutral fan. Italy v Holland etc - the teams will have to go for it or they could be out early doors
  10. Man City cost me my treble yesterday. I had: Blackburn to beat Newcastle (I stayed away from the NE treble as i faniced the odds more than the teams) Draw between Portsmouth and Everton (banker draw if there ever was one) Man City to beat Wigan - fookers :uzi:
  11. Not saying he is crap for that reason but its not the first recently. Im not wanting to pick it out personally though. But I feel this is just one of these games that shows he isnt as clinical as everyone thinks. Its a shame Darcheville went off early as it would have been interesting to see how they panned out as a partnership as i have always said Boyd needs a worker up with him if he is playing.
  12. Seeing Italy, Holland and France drawn together is great. It makes the group games much more appealing and shows why seedings should be scrapped in all tournaments. I might have an early tip for Spain. Yet again its time they did something at a tournament.
  13. What about that for Group C!!!
  14. I hope Hutton doesnt go and id want another million or 2 than that for him. BUt he will be sought after if he keeps playing the way he does. As for Boyd, I knew Eck would be in for him and prob Hemdani. IMO he can have Boyd (who is becoming a master at fresh air shots)
  15. The thing with Gordon is he has an average defence in a tough league and is always going to be busy in that league. At the moment id say McGregor is the better keeper
  16. I switched over from the Chelsea v West Ham game at the exact second before the pen was taken and saw it go in - great stuff. I had the draw on here aswell but it was with a double with West Ham to beat Chelsea - at 10/1 they were worth a shout.
  17. Anyone having a flutter today? Gav you wont win today because you told us you had began to win without posting on here Im tempted with a NE treble with all 3 managers jobs on the line. Newcastle to beat Blackburn Middlesboro to beat Reading Sunderland to beat Derby Its around 26/1
  18. If McCulloch and Beasley are both out then Id like to see: ________________McGregor______________ Hutton_____Weir_________Cuellar______Papac _____Hemdani____Ferguson____Thomson_____ _____Naismith____Darchville____Buffel_______ or this with the wide guys getting forward ________________McGregor________________ Hutton_____Weir_________Cuellar______Papac Naismith_____Hemdani____Ferguson_____Adam _______________Buffel___________________ ________________Darcheville_____________
  19. Funniest post in a long time
  20. There is a slight difference between the 2 games and situations. I dont think we need to cancel. Our squad is big enough to rest our main players and other players should come in and have enough to beat fookin Gretna.
  21. I really want us to go and win the cup this year as it will be 5 years since we last won it back in 2003 against Dundee. Thats too long for us to not be even in a final. We'll take East Stirling at home and that pretty much should be step 1 complete
  22. Rep Ireland with a bit of luck!
  23. Id like to see that team!!! Very attack minded

    Lyon Tickets

Plenty of tickets available to Lyon with EuroStar mate but thats about it, but if your making the journey across for the big T.O (quality city) then I hope you get one
  25. Bollocks, Ive never denied Boyd scores some goals, but its just that the rest of his game is non exsistant and ive identified the fact Boyd goes 4 games without scoring then gets a few against the poorer teams. He has barely scored against the better teams or in big matches. Crouch for me is far better than Boyd and offers much more. All I said about him was I dont like his style but I can add he offers more than just scoring goals (and some of his goals have been peaches - over head kicks, volleys - its just they dont look could coming from a lacky lad), I said above he must be a nightmare to play against - something Boyd isnt - crikey defenders could probably get away with not marking Boyd if he is upfront himself.
