I thought they would get a pumping about 5-0 over there but 2-0 isnt bad and they lost a pen right on half time. Some of the UEFA cup teams are better than their name suggests. Blackburn got knocked out by an unheard team and Spurs came close to defeat last night. Does this say the Premiership is over rated that we expect these teams to be beat? I call for a re-vamp of the Euro Comp's to stop favouring the big teams. The likes of Valencia and Lazio are pish at the moment, Stuttgart and Bremen have been poor and Bayern M arent even in the CL. Good on Rosenburg if they make it through.

Have to say Souness is swaying me a bit now, i think it could suit him a bit more than day to day hassles which he seems to get. If he got a strong assistant then it would help. Gary Mac would be ideal along side him but maybe Richard Gough, Paul Lambert or Colin Hendry would be a good choice.

What are Valencia doing right now!! They cost me my coupon the other night.

I can see where the caller is coming from , i dont like watching Crouch due to the shape of him. Its nothing personal as he is probably a decent guy but his 8m legs and 4m arms are everywhere. He can stick a leg out from 22 yards and get a ball that is put into the penalty spot. But he scores goals all the same and must be a buggar to play against with those bones digging into someone.

This isa bit of a blow but we have the cover in the squad. Time for Buffel I say It would mean changing the set up a wee bit but thats ok.

I thought this thread was a joke and Faye was added for same reason as Chris put. I never realised he was part of the arrests :fish:

I think Fletcher is a banker to go to Birmingham. Id have him at Gers but not for 3 million as I agree he is over rated although I think he could hold his own in the SPL.
-
Definatly a creative player should be first up if Buffel and Gow arent going to get a chance and a LB is needed badly. If Papac gets an injury then we have nobody. I think we are ok for numbers upfront at the moment but obviously January could change that

Stuttgart 3 : 2 Rangers - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
As well as he has came on this season (and ive been very impressed by him) he still has a bit to go to match Klos. McGregor does have a very good defence infront of him aswell - probably the strongest its been for a few years. But he is heading in the right direction and he isnt far off Craig Gordon for Scotland No.1. -
Not Georgia away?
-
But didnt he storm off again after that or pull out of a match coz he couldnt be assed?

Gary O Connor's future should be interesting!!

As expected, and takes Watson and Aitken with him: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/birmingham_city/7115728.stm It will be interesting to see how he does. Having Aitken will help as he has premier league experience at Leeds and Villa. I wonder who he will come back to Ibrox for!! Id put money on Hemdani and Boyd being the first 2 and maybe Buffel.

That was Roy Hodgson is it not? Gets linked to every job outside the UK.
-
Who is Stuart Baxter? Dalglish may be worth a bet at that odds. Billy Davies - No thanks Craig Levein - No thanks Gary McAllister - Yes but a better No.2 Jim Jefferies - NOOOO Thanks Graeme Souness - Maybe George Burley - maybe Gordon Strachan - Yes Jimmy Calderwood - No thanks Joe Jordan - A decent assistant but not No.1 John Collins - Maybe in a few years Mark McGhee - maybe Roy Aitken - decent assistant George Graham - Yes Ally McCoist - No he stays at Gers David Moyes - Yes but no chance Martin Jol - Yes please Richard Gough - Another decent assistant Sir Alex Ferguson - In our dreams Steve McLaren - Lol - no thanks Stuart Baxter - If someone wants to tell me who he is and who he manages I'll comment Kenny Dalglish - Possibly wouldnt be a bad choice as he won the top english league Terry Venables - Yes Please Tommy Burns - No.2 at best Bruce Rioch - Nah Colin Calderwood - No thanks Craig Brown - No Paul Lambert - Part of the coaching staff Colin Hendry - Same as Lambert David Weir - No, he is playing at his peak Stuart McCall - Hasnt nearly done enough to warrant it but could be a coach

Im actually getting withdrawal symptoms today seen as a manager hasnt lost or left his job yet. How many recently: Chelsea Spurs Bolton Wigan Birmingham Derby Leicester (Megson to Bolton / Holloway in) Plymouth (Sturrock in for Holloway) Swindon (Sturrock out) Internationals: Rep Ireland Scotland England Rumours: Newcastle Middlesboro Liverpool (5000 to make protest in tonights CL game) Fook me!!
-
I think he came to us "a job too early" and now I think he has went to the Premiership "a job too early" seen as its Birmingham. He may look back in 15 years and think he should have taken on the WC qualifiers then moved to the Premiership as he'll think he wasnt even Scotland manager for a year.
-
This is a wrong move for him if he wants to be ambitious even though his wages will double. No way will Birmingham be a top 10 EPL club. His resignation stinks a wee bit but the SFA knew he wanted a club so they could have allowed Birmingham to talk to him. However if he waited a bit longer he would have got the chance of Newcastle or Middlesboro as I feel those 2 jobs are coming up, but Newcastle will probably go foreign. Anyway as Gisabeer said, Walter set the Scotland side up for him, ive said Smith deserves more credit for the Euro campaign and bar the France game McLeish still makes mistakes. He'll need to take Roy Aitken with him coz Andy Watson wont be able to cut Premiership football. Next Scotland boss?? Only Gary McAllister is appealing out of the mentioned names. I dont want Davies, Burley, Levein, Souness, Jordon or Dalglish. Id rather have: McAllister Venables George Graham Strachan

Whilst he did a good job with Derby I dont want him near the Scotland job

Draw and Draw for me

I think this is great, obviously it would be better with England so we can pump them at Wembley but once it starts they will wish they were in it.
-
Will be announced soon. I find this sacking a disgrace. He has lost his job as a result of over achieving. Derby were going nowhere and down around the bottom half of the Championship until Davoes came along and brought them up straight away - probably a year too soon. But he had an average team and to stay up he needed backed by the board and a hole overhaul of the team which isnt possible. What do would the board rather want - a season in the Premier league to make money and gain experience or to still be in the Championship playing Hull and Blackpool? They could have this year to gain experience then come back stronger next year. Even Sir Awex and Wenger would do a good job to keep Derby up now so Ive no idea who will come in and attempt to save them. Im nor a Davies fan or dislike him but I cant see where this has come from at all.

Falkirk 1 : 3 Rangers - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yip McGregor for me. His 2 saves was fantastic. The one he tipped over the bar would have gone past many a keeper and he showed how alret he was from Huttons header. He is this seasons most improved player. I wasnt happy with going with him as our No.1 but he has came on leaps and bounds.
