Im a huge fan of Hemdani and think he should start every week but in the same case as Boyd, if he isnt playing and doesnt feature in Smiths plans then we should take an offer for him. Id probably rather sell Ferguson for 3 million plus than Hemdani for around 1.5 million then replace Ferguson with a creative attacking player and have Hemdani and Thomson sit in the midfield together. At the end of the day its Smith who picks and chooses so we also need to look at it from his point of view whether we should be keeping players or not. But at the moment he has half built a stronger team. We still have inconsistancies with him chopping and changing due to injuries etc the likes of Darcheville cant get going which is a shame. Beasley was beginning to come onto a game when he got injured. But we have a good base to step up to the next level in the next 12 months.

I actually agree with your way of thinking here in most aspects of life. Its like the news - its an opinion and they manipulate being to believing something is fact when it may not be. I could use many examples of certain laws but if they were questionned and not respected in life then we wouldnt have a society in place to "control" things. There is no official law saying playing for your country is an honour - its an opinion. Slightly different bud, Buffel was played out of postion regardless the formation. IMO the team doesnt have to move around for Buffel, he can play in a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1 (even better for him) - he just needs to be playing the attacking midfield and not right wing where he was played. Can you imagine Boyd as a left winger? But with Boyd he just cant play as the 1 up front role and we are getting some success with this at the moment. To get the best out of Boyd we have to reshuffle. I still say his goal scoring record isnt the most important thing - anyone can score for us as ling as we win - as Gav says 3 ogs will be enough. Once we are going for titles again then we can start to be fussy.

Best thing you've said all day But seriously, its nothing personal against Boyd as I dont know the guy. I do think his lifestyle needs changing by going what others say. But I just dont think he is capable of being our first choice striker if we want to win the league unless was accommodate him right and have a better 10 players behind him. People talk about Buffel being a luxury player, id say Boyd was like this coz we have to play a certain system round him. Id take the cash.

I thought he had at the start of the season. He shedded some pounds and look trimmer and was putting himself about a bit more but recently he looks like getting a bit plump again and every game ive seen on the TV live he has missed loads of chances without scoring.

Superb player! We never replaced him - he had pace, could beat a man and could cross the ball. He was totally underrated.

No, what I mean here is we won nothing due to signing and playing so many average run of the mill SPL players. Boyd was just one of them. It was the better players with quality like Prso, Ferguson, Hemdani etc who have kept us in the top 3 in the table in the last few seasons. If they were taken out and replaced with a hand picked few from Motherwell, Killie, Falkirk and St Mirren I cant imagine where we would be. The problem we had 12-24 months ago was the standard of Rangers player wasnt good enough but WS has improved the team in the last year, Obviously he cant sign 11 stars but he has certainly done the job and moved a lot of the average players out the starting XI. The only one who has really kept his place is McGregor but fair play to him he has improved a lot and deserves to be in the team.

Agreed with Juff also, i do like his 110% approach in games but he is sulking with England simply because he wasnt top pick but Sol, Rio and Terry are easy first pick. Phil Neville has been in and out of squads and has been played all over the place but we've never seen him go sulking

No its not, my argument is we have went top while Boyd has been on the bench. Just coz he is top scorer it doesnt mean he has put us there - others have been chipping in with the goals.
