  1. I fancied 4 homes tonight. 3 of the games are massive relegation battles. Its 2-0 to the Arsenal and keegan's newcastle still havent scored a goal yet Latest scores Bolton 0-0 Fulham Boro 1-0 Wigan Soonderland 1-0 Birmingham
  2. This week has been a bit embarrassing IMO for us and the bad management has came right at the very top with SDM. We are pushing a home grown player, who has been far out best player this season, out of the door AND paying him to leave whilst missing out on transfer targets left right and centre and end up with a striker back at the club who wants to leave. The Roy Carroll transfer is another uncertancy with him basically sitting in his car to make the journey to Derby when we sign another keeper yet we havent done this and cant even clinch a keeper from Dundee Utd!!! Now we want Derby's reserve keeper in a swap deal according to the papers - what did we sign Graeme Smith for? IF the Samaras deal had went through yesterday we may have been left with him and Cousin along with all our other striking options at a time when we are screaming out for a creative midfielder and some defensive cover for Weir and our full backs - especially since Hutton seems to be on his way to Spurs. What is going on :admin:
  3. From a playing side it could be good that we dont have to bring in a new face and hope they settle quick, but it will depend on Cousin's attitude and how he fans react to him. Would the Larsen or Samaras deals have still went through or we're we waiting to hear about this one first?
  4. Agreed - what the fuck is going on!!!
  5. Yip, im absolutely baffled by this. It says desperation all over it and lacks class especially from a player who wants to stay. It seems Rangers are pushing the move through after he came back and wanted to stay
  6. If this came from Frankie then id be saying "Good" but il wait and see with you Fraser If he stays then he must play!!
  7. Dundee Utd arent worth 8 million
  8. Thing is i dont think we are that desperate for players unlike previous seasons. Our numbers are still pretty high. We are a bit lightweight in central midfield and at centre back but with S Smith coming back and Whittaker doing well there we could be covered there. Problem is if Hutton goes then we move Whittaker to RB and Papac to LB then we are stuck again. I still think strikers should be our last target at the moment. We have about 6 or 7 who can easy play upfront.
  9. So its hovering around the 15 million mark again then? I thought it was down to nearer 7 million. But it will be around 7 mill if Hutton goes.
  10. I think that stems into the other argument that if we do play 2 upfront we are back to having the dilema of who plays in midfield and it lacks creativity. Not that we lack that just now of course. Its not like we are Man U who can play 2 holding midfielders (Hargreaves and Carrick) then let Giggs and Ronaldo roam free. Our best bet IMO is McCulloch left (until Beasley gets fit) and Novo right with Ferguson and Hemdani in midfield then have 2 upfront.
  11. Thats just what happens when you come from a lower league but its absolute pish. Hutton will probably play double the amount of games Woodgate will play. I cant believe they are paying 8 million for another injury crock. Woodgate has been lucky to play 25% of games in a season at every club he has been to. If I was Hutton id raise the point and look to get nearer 50k.
  12. I think Marcus Bent would actually be ok for us in the SPL, but as Beattie says he'll then become a CL player and that puts things into perspective. He is nowhere near that standard down south. Pity we couldnt have got Luke Moore on a loan.
  13. Great stuff if he stays until the end of the season, he deserves to choose what he wants rather than the club cashing in on him. Its a shame that the situation we are in shows we club would prefer the money. Many a player would have jumped at the chance of Spurs even though they may not have made it. Im sure Hutton will get a few better offers in the summer.
  14. HaHa where on earth did you read that shite. Its 1.25m they want for him. Quite a few teams down south interested in him plus the Mhanks.
  15. Gribz

    Leeds

Strange one that he is going there as director of football. That job is a nonsense for me. Thats Leeds fooked then
  16. WS's words were "were happy for him to stay from a playing point of view" possibly meaning we'd still like the 10 million.
  17. Ooch a!!! What a match! Arsenal can go there and win though!! Liverpool are pish but they are getting easy home draws and they'll end up going all the way.
  18. WS is certainly after a giant is he! Not really sure about him though. Samaras 6ft 4" Larsen 6ft 4" Boy from Burnley 6ft 4" He'll be after Gav next :box:
  19. Nope didnt put it in the end Tenner would have returned 225
  20. First time since 1957 that this round has went through without any draws. Only 6 Premier league teams in the last 16. It makes for a good FA cup this season but depending on the draw the big 4 will still be the ones who reach the semi finals. It would be great if Man U got Chelsea and Liverpool got Arsenal in this round coming up although I can see the old sticky fingers being used in the draw to keep them apart.
  21. Are you fucking kidding me!!!!! :ffs: :ffs:
  22. Strange to say but i thinkif Mourinho was still in charge they would be a bit further behind Man U and Arsenal
  23. Whittaker had a shocking start when he was playing RM but is doing a fine job at LB. Plus we have S Smith to return so it bares well for us. And as for Scotland we could end up having most of the team of Bears. McGregor would be first pick ahead of Gordon at the moment IMO. Gordon has made quite a few errors since going down there but he is playing infront of a shockingly shite defence, and he has still pulled off a few good saves. But McGregor has nipped ahead of him IMO. Hutton has made the RB place his own. Weir will probably make the team despite being 37, and who knows what Webster will offer.
  24. One figure I was looking at the other day is he has had the same start as Mourinho did: P28 W21 D5 L2 Now he is W 22.
  25. I thought Jewell would get them a win yesterday - thats a battering. Championship for you :box:
