  1. Yip, sounds good. Id also like Stevie Lennon to get a run out aswell. This game is a great chance for the likes of Gow, Buffel, Broadfoot etc all to play
  2. Fair do's mate, although i disagree on Buffel. I think he'd be ok in the EPL as it would suit his game due to him being a more pacey player. The only shout for keeping Boyd IMO is the same as Ascender said - JCD is injured a lot and Cousin is 30 plus looks disinterested. But then again Smith is playing with 1 striker and that just isnt Boyds role at all. He still looks out of shape aswell to me despite losing weight last summer. I know this is something from me, but, Id actually play Boyd if Buffel was in the team - I think that could be a decent partnership.
  3. Not surprised by the draw, i fancied a Everton v Tottenham final before the 1st legs were played and il stick by that.
  4. 2 things - Allardyce is a soor face and does my head in and im glad he buggered up and has got the boot. But Newcastle have a poison right through the club which has stemed for years so any manager who goes there is fighting a losing battle. Ive love to know how much money they have spent on player, pay-offs and other things over the last 10 years, i think it would be more than Chelsea. It will be interesting to see who gets the job, I think 'Arry Redknapp is top contender but Newcastle fans may want a top top coach like Lippi.
  5. And 3 months from Mols who was an all rounder. But as for Boyd, Im with Gav - Sell sell sell. I give him 3 games and he will be in Birmingham reserves, there is NO WAY he could hack the premiership. And 3 million is laughable.
  6. At least is soon so we look forward to it but the K/o time is a pain in the ass for me but never mind. Gavs right, we havent had a midweek OF game in a long time and they are normally good.
  7. You know what will happen now do you - McGregor will pick up a knock!! But like everyone else Ive been impressed with the way Mcgregor has came on this season and Carroll is a good back up but is back up at best. Let him go and we can get a better keeper in either this month or the summer
  8. It was a trial
  9. Well make it a sticky then you hammick!!! All bets off with me, ive lost loads in the last few months. I havent been near a win.

    Stevie Smith

Great news. He will need a good 6 games to get match fitness though.
  11. It looks like we could have 3 OF games in a month. There will be one in March which is already schelduled then the rearranged game in early April and then one more after the split.
  12. I think id rather have Berti Vogts back than Jefferies.
  13. It can rain in July but far from what it would in the winter and the odds against games being called off would be far reduced. Scandinavian and Eastern European countries manage to play there games in the summer with a similar weather program like Scotland yet those 2 countries have had relativley success with there national teams in the past. You just have to look at the state of the Ibrox turf the other day and in past seasons to see that games shouldnt be played in winter. It looked like there was a rugby tournament on before them.
  14. Where did you find that Pete? I just read they are pursing him again.
  15. Oh well, thats a pretty heavy fixture congestion we're going to have!!
  16. That is a nightmare for Del, not just for the pain in the ass but the expense aswell, petrol isnt cheap! And Im sure there were plenty of fans who even travelled further from England, NI or northern Scotland. Plenty of fans will have paid for there bus, train or petrol and will have to do it all again. If there is any risk of a game being called off it HAS to be earlier. SPL Stadia should be equipped to handle this, if not then scrap football in the winter. I think the season should be stopped in winter. It would make a shite Xmas period when football is great but this sort of thing cant happen in this day in age when we have boring long hot summer nights in July with no football.
  17. Yeah 70,000 is a great number for me. We'd definatly get 60k+ plus at games if tickets were at the right price and as you say getting tickets for those who cant make it would be a piece of cake. RE West Ham - Boleyn Ground is the name of the stadium. Upton Pk is the area in East London that is it in although is also within the place called "Ham". West Ham FC are actually situatied in East Ham, the underground stop before Upton Pk is called "West Ham".
  18. Everton unlucky in the end. Glad I never put a bet on coz i would have went for the draw.
  19. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/7176477.stm Burley Souness Burns McGhee Im really disappointed that George Graham hasnt even been mentioned. Have to say none of the above really tick the boxes for me especially when England have just appointed Capello. If we were to play England last month I think we would have played them off the park but i think Capello will get them going again. I cant see any of the above really carrying Scotland on from what W Smith built up. Burns is a cracking No.2 but not top man material. I think he may get it and if he does it will be out of pity that he never got offered the job. Souness is total hit or miss with most thinking a miss. Burley get a great job at Hearts but has struggled with Southampton. McGhee is coming on nicely with Motherwell but its a massive jump that to take Scotland to the next World Cup. For me, this appointment HAD to go to a bigger name who has managed at the top level and George Graham ticks all the boxes and it would suit him perfectly.
  20. They are signing a Japanese midfielder - Mizuno
  21. Shooting themselves in the foot as usual. Calderwood will go also, he has taken them as far as he can and isnt getting backed from the board. We moan about Murray but Milne has to be worse. He is absolutely minted, one of the richest men in scotland, but he doesnt put a penny in. He is waiting for the council to fund a new stadium then turn pittodrie into flats and he will walk away Good stuff
  22. The only fear i have now is that the club have strongly hinted through various channels that they want the cash so he may feel like he has to go. But he cant be forced and Im sure Walter and Ally will be taking him aside and telling him that
  23. This tournament has been a lot better in recent seasons with the big guns actually trying to win it. Im annnoyed with myself because before the quarter finals I was going to back Everton to win at 10/1 but didnt like betting against West Ham. Chelsea v Everton - Tonight - I think this will be a draw and Everton will go through with a 2-1 win in the 2nd leg. Arsenal v Spurs - Tomorrow - Spurs just cant get the better of Arsenal at all and despite the Goons playing there 2nd team (which would still be a top 5 team) I can see this being a narrow home win but I wouldnt rule Spurs out of the tie completely. I fancy Everton to go on and win the cup but wouldnt be surprised if tis Spurs they face in the final.

  25. No Hemdani is a breath of fresh air on the ball aswell and as cool as a cucumber. He looks the part on the ball for me and is more of a tidy player rather than doing dirty work. Who knows, if he gets a run in the team until the end of the season then he would end up being a contender aswell.
