  1. So has it went through?? It would be great if he pulled the plug on it. The guy obviously wants to stay so if he's in doubt he should do without! C'mon Hutton put it off until the summer!
  2. Its the high wages that I dont agree with here. We are giving him more than Hutton was on once he signed a new deal
  3. To be a bit fair to Cousin he always said he was ok at Ibrox but preferred to go to the Premier League. It would be a bit different if he said he wanted out of the place full stop. Maybe he was covering his tracks incase this did happen but he'll have to do his talking on the pitch from now until May.
  4. For me Dailly earned pretty much a high percentage of his caps, but admit the final good few was earned due to the management not giving others a try. But 66 games is a lot and IMO was one of our better players in times. He played in that win at Wembley.
  5. WHY did we want a loan fee?? They could have picked up his wages freeing it up for someone else. Also, now that he stays - IF WS plays him we will have to give Feyenoord a fee will we not?? Unbelieveble!!
  6. Weir was NEVER going to manage to last the pace for whole season. A wee break for a game or 2 will see him ok and we'll still get good games from him. When S Smith is back we can have Papac at CH with Carlos. Papac hasnt really done a lot wrong this season at all.
  7. From Reading downwards is close and nothing in it. Derby Fulham and Wigan to go down IMO.
  8. Player wise it's not so bad this time round due to our squad being a bit bigger and us not needing too many players but the club have conducted themselves a bit silly. But WS really needs to start giving games to those who arent playing - Broadfoot, Gow, Buffel, Boyd etc and give some youth a chance - Lennon, Furman, Fleck.
  9. 3-0 to the Arsenal now. Good stuff! Yip, Brum are right in the dog fight now. 2-0 down now! Those 2 relegation battles tonight were big big games!
  10. Its not Daillys fault so people cant jump on his back. Plus i think he can do a job in the SPL, he wont be a match winner but he'll give 100% and be decent cover at the back for us. Not a promising signing for the future nor what we are looking for but will still give us good back up at centre half and as a holding player.
  11. I fancied 4 homes tonight. 3 of the games are massive relegation battles. Its 2-0 to the Arsenal and keegan's newcastle still havent scored a goal yet Latest scores Bolton 0-0 Fulham Boro 1-0 Wigan Soonderland 1-0 Birmingham
  12. This week has been a bit embarrassing IMO for us and the bad management has came right at the very top with SDM. We are pushing a home grown player, who has been far out best player this season, out of the door AND paying him to leave whilst missing out on transfer targets left right and centre and end up with a striker back at the club who wants to leave. The Roy Carroll transfer is another uncertancy with him basically sitting in his car to make the journey to Derby when we sign another keeper yet we havent done this and cant even clinch a keeper from Dundee Utd!!! Now we want Derby's reserve keeper in a swap deal according to the papers - what did we sign Graeme Smith for? IF the Samaras deal had went through yesterday we may have been left with him and Cousin along with all our other striking options at a time when we are screaming out for a creative midfielder and some defensive cover for Weir and our full backs - especially since Hutton seems to be on his way to Spurs. What is going on :admin:
  13. From a playing side it could be good that we dont have to bring in a new face and hope they settle quick, but it will depend on Cousin's attitude and how he fans react to him. Would the Larsen or Samaras deals have still went through or we're we waiting to hear about this one first?
  14. Agreed - what the fuck is going on!!!
  15. Yip, im absolutely baffled by this. It says desperation all over it and lacks class especially from a player who wants to stay. It seems Rangers are pushing the move through after he came back and wanted to stay
  16. If this came from Frankie then id be saying "Good" but il wait and see with you Fraser If he stays then he must play!!
  17. Dundee Utd arent worth 8 million
  18. Thing is i dont think we are that desperate for players unlike previous seasons. Our numbers are still pretty high. We are a bit lightweight in central midfield and at centre back but with S Smith coming back and Whittaker doing well there we could be covered there. Problem is if Hutton goes then we move Whittaker to RB and Papac to LB then we are stuck again. I still think strikers should be our last target at the moment. We have about 6 or 7 who can easy play upfront.
  19. So its hovering around the 15 million mark again then? I thought it was down to nearer 7 million. But it will be around 7 mill if Hutton goes.
  20. I think that stems into the other argument that if we do play 2 upfront we are back to having the dilema of who plays in midfield and it lacks creativity. Not that we lack that just now of course. Its not like we are Man U who can play 2 holding midfielders (Hargreaves and Carrick) then let Giggs and Ronaldo roam free. Our best bet IMO is McCulloch left (until Beasley gets fit) and Novo right with Ferguson and Hemdani in midfield then have 2 upfront.
  21. Thats just what happens when you come from a lower league but its absolute pish. Hutton will probably play double the amount of games Woodgate will play. I cant believe they are paying 8 million for another injury crock. Woodgate has been lucky to play 25% of games in a season at every club he has been to. If I was Hutton id raise the point and look to get nearer 50k.
  22. I think Marcus Bent would actually be ok for us in the SPL, but as Beattie says he'll then become a CL player and that puts things into perspective. He is nowhere near that standard down south. Pity we couldnt have got Luke Moore on a loan.
  23. Great stuff if he stays until the end of the season, he deserves to choose what he wants rather than the club cashing in on him. Its a shame that the situation we are in shows we club would prefer the money. Many a player would have jumped at the chance of Spurs even though they may not have made it. Im sure Hutton will get a few better offers in the summer.
  24. HaHa where on earth did you read that shite. Its 1.25m they want for him. Quite a few teams down south interested in him plus the Mhanks.
