G Graham and J Jordan would be my top realistic choice for manager and assistant. They definatly have the credentials for it.

The Luke Moore rumour has been doing the rounds. Id like to see this one even if we got him on loan to see what he could do. I think we may have to admit to Hutton leaving sooner rather than later which is a shame. I think it could be out of his hands and Murray wants the 9 million plus. Cuellar would be a massive loss, hopefully thats a nonsense.

Comedy wise its all down to preferrence but I find the British Sense of humour far greater than the americans. That doesnt mean to say they cant produce good comedies. However they are very different. For me Only Fools and Horses is our best standout but im not sure if it would go down well across the pond as when it comes to sense of humour us Brits traditionally find different things funny.

Yeah it seems we are doing this, so drainage and light solutions would be a start. Im getting more and more towards the idea of summer football. Id miss the Xmas program but for the good of our game it think its time to switch the season from Feb to Nov.

Cousin would be mad to go to Fulham, they are hot favourties to go down with Derby at the moment. But it depends on his wishes, if he doesnt want to stay with us then id let him go.

Interesting to read some views on McCulloch. He got himself off to such a good start aswell!! But he has went off the boil a little. Id still keep him in my plans though, he has a bit more of an end product than Burke. I think Naismith could come good but Burke has proved for years he has lacked a final pass or cross. Beasley was just beginning to come onto a game aswell when he got injured, but agreed, he would be my first pick for LW when fit. Im another who wants to see 4-4-2 but I still dont think we hav the midfield for it. We have the players but still no creation. Is there a shout for having a try with my old favourtie 3-5-2 with the current crop??

I see what your saying Gav and it hasnt been pretty this week at all. But I was just having a wee look at the league table and would take our current situation over what we have had in the past few years. Without being pretty we have managed to get ourselves ahead in the league and in 15 short weeks we could be league champions again, with a few cups in the bag again. Now that Walter has turned us round hopefully we can start to play better football. Id like to see better play but still rather be ahead of Celtic this way. One thing about Smith is, he has made us very difficult to beat. He favours this 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 but for me, all he needs is to make a few changes and we will play better. Id put Novo back on the right and Buffel / Gow in for Naismith and keep Cousin upfront. In the last few years we've had the same dire stuff under McLeish and ended up losing games like Inverness away. Persevere

Anyone have a flutter yesterday?? I had 15 quid 4 fold which was buggered. Blackburn to beat Middlesboro - 1-1 Spurs to beat Sunderland - 2-0 Carlisle to beat someone? - 1-0 Leeds to beat doncaster - 0-1 Glad 2 buggered me, i dont like when its 1 team that lets me down! Everton are 5/4 to beat Wigan today so il have a bit of that, maybe with a treble of: Everton 5/4 Rangers 8/13 West Ham 11/4 tenner returns 125 quid.

Listening to a debate about who should get the scotland job. I still cant believe we havent approached George Graham. We should be going to the best possible person. Obviously Sir Awex wont take it so we should work our way down the list - George Graham ticks all the boxes and has won the top league in england. Imagine comparing him with Mark McGhee?? What are the condentials here? McGhee is a good man and is doing well with MOtherwell, he handled himself with good dignity over the Phil O Donnell issue but thats not a reason to give him the job. Why are we not looking at Venebles aswell? We should be going for the best man possible and not JUST a scotsman!! If you were asked to pick someone for the Arsenal job should Wenger leave and given the option of Burley, McGhee or Venebles who would you pick?? No brainer - Venebles!! We HAVE to build on the good job Smith did and qualify for the next world cup. I dont think Burley, Burns, McGhee or Souness will make any improvement where as Venebles or Graham would. Its going to be one of that 4 but im hoping the SFA wake up before appointing one of them.

I bet Jonc wishes he was the Ibrox pitch right now - he never gets laid

Why not......... :moon: I used to have a tshirt that said that!! Lets laugh at them for being them!!
-
I hope its a good move for him, i like him and he is an important player. Everton should have played him more.
-
Yeah but for a change it would be nice to see a manager go somewhere and be a bit more adventurous and pick out other signings rather than the safe option of players he has had previously. WS went to Everton and took Gough, Gazza, Cleland etc.

Noble is a trier but isnt exactly Joe Cole. If West Ham got 4 million for him then thats a good deal. He would be good up in Scotland though and from a Rangers point of view its not good. We should move for his midfield team mate Hayden Mullins. He is very underrated and is a box to box midfielder who can tackle, pass and CREATE the odd chance. He likes to shoot aswell.
-
This is a good thing as the pitch has been shocking recently. No excuses for not putting at least 6 past East Stirling now!!
-
Agreed on first point. He has always had to play upfront on his own aswell which doesnt help. He showed against Barca he has a talent. His power is there to see and the likes of Naismith and Burke could learn off this as they were easily pushed off the ball in this game and against Hibs away. Plus Cousin took his goal superbly, he was at a tight angle and could have blasted it anywhere. Disgrace on 2nd point.

Any chick would look good seen as Elvis is a hairy ugly bassa :moon:

I think there is a slight over reaction on Dailly, its not as if we are signing someone in the Capucho mould. Dailly is just past his best thats all. He was playing decently for Southampton until Xmas and Burley wanted to keep him on but West Ham recalled him. He could easy do a job in the SPL albeit would be a more attractive signing for the likes of Dundee Utd, Aberdeen or Hibs. Yes its not adventureous for Rangers but its a good short term signing seen as Ugo is leaving and Webster is never fit. He can play the holding midfield role and centre half. The guy is a legend after the Germany away game a few years ago anyway.

Luke Moore would be a good signing

He is well past his best but could probably still do a job in the SPL. However its not exactly a exciting promising long term signing. Surely younger guys should get a chance ahead of signing older players.
-
I think the situation with Webster is a waste of time and money (depending how much % of his wage we are paying). Either he is fit or he should be at Wigan recovering. He was promising but I always was on the side that thought Pressely made him look good although quite a few have said the opposite.
-
Im pretty sure they have let him know, but rumour is they are holding off until the summer until the find out if Neville comes back to full fitness.
