Talking of Ronnie Barker then - The 2 Ronnies was quite good!
-
Did it not win? Look at the tip though - "Fancied" only whereas the first one was a sure thing. I like the term for Intersky charm - penalty without a keeper
-
Intersky Charm was 11/4 and now just moved into 9/4. Worth a punt. But Ladbrokes fancy it for finish only - but they will say that to make money - il keep my eyes on it. A double with that and the first horse would have been a good bet.

2 and a half men is quite funny from the states. Just watched that and found it amusing.

I dont know if thats a good thing, bad thing or pointless thing

League Champs Scottish Cup UEFA Cup That would do nicely

Id play them both and actually think Ferguson would strive from playing with Buffel
-
I dont think he's alone in that category though. Even Barry Ferguson has his fair share of poor games and Charlie Adam is another who is prone to a nightmare quite regularly yet still appears quite a lot. It seems Buffel just gets singled out. Id have in my team 100 times out of 100 over the likes of Adam. Im not saying Adam is a rotten player, he came up with 10 goals last season but those goals had to come from somewhere.

Much can be debated about Walters tactics in SPL / Euro games and his choice selections. But I wonder how he feels being back at Rangers with the club being ran totally different. He no longer can buy multi million pound players and has to pick and scrape from the bottom end of the market and the club are a selling club if the opportunity comes around - although in Cousin's case our hands are tied as he wanted the move - but in Alan Hutton's case the player wants to stay at lease until the end of the season. TBH he hasnt done too badly so far with some buys in certain areas. He's done well with McGregor in goal and brought him on to be a fine keeper. Cuellar at the back has been a bright spark for 95% of the season, I just hope we can hold onto him. Davie Weir has been solid throughout but needs a break at the moment. In midfield McCulloch and Thomson have been popular. McCulloch was a preferred signing of mine and got off to a great start this season but went off the boil for a few games but I expect him to be back to his best soon. Thomson remains a popular player with the fans. We'll see a bit more from Naismith soon IMO and hopefully Darcheville can stay clear of injuries for a while. In the last 12 months we have went from being a disaster to title challengers. Dont get me wrong Celtic arent a top club - they have some on field problems at the moment in the SPL - but I think credit can be given to Walter for putting us in the situation we are in again and playing in 4 competitions as we head towards the end of January. We can only ask for a bit more attractive football and that may take a little bit longer but should come.

Ok, one last plead to give this guy another chance. I've read a few other posters also saying they are a fan of his and he should get some playing time. So I'm glad im not on my own here. Interesting to read another poster (think it was Alan) saying he could be the difference in winning the league - someone else obviously rates him! He is the type of player we need and would cost a few million to buy. There is no way David Murray will buy a player that costs more than 2 million so why not give Feyenoord the 400k they will get after he plays 3 more games. I can't work out why some fans say he is a passenger - he is being paid a wgae by the club therefore should be earning his keep on the pitch - it's up the manager to get him playing. Or what does it say about our club when we are trying to offload our best player and in Hutton's case even pay him to leave (if that rumour is true!). Does Murray want the club in the black so he can get a seller?? But in the mean time what about the fans who bank roll him with so much money - we continue to get average players from smaller clubs??
-
I see 1 or 2 have been giving some good reports on Tam Buffel. The comments have been right - to get another player in with his talent would cost millions - Walter HAS to play him. Gow needs a wee run in the first team aswell - he surely cant be any worse than Charlie Adam.

You'll get a packet of Wine gums maybe!

Now I dont agree with that. Although I do think the other team and fans have to respect the decision made whether it be applause or silence. The way I see it is your showing your respect by doing something for that minute. When someone dies we say you should celebrate that persons life and in war hero's you'd want to applaude their efforts. When your football team scores a goal your celebrating the achievement byt cheering - you dont stand in silence for a minute. I think either silence or applause is appropriate, its just you can identify the morons easily in the silence. The other season when John Lyall died Aston Villa put on a minute silence for West Ham but the West Ham fans chanted him name for that minute and nobody thought it was disrepectful - even the family preferred it to the silence.

1-0 to Chelski. Have to say Avram Grant has done a good job there. He's made the fans almost forget about Jose and they are also going nicely in 4 tournaments. Now that Chelsea are out of the spotlight a bit I dont really mind them again.

Anyone actually going along tonight? Or is it on TV? I'm off to bed soon so hopefully someone puts a player performance rating up when I log on in the morning
-
Not allowed in but there's a creche with a bouncy castle for you.
-
Never mind mate, im still to see when I will be across for exact. But will be up for going if im in town
-
Crikey - are you trying to put people off going??
-
Yeah but lescott should have been done for match fixing with that header
-
You watch Buffel tonight and after that you'll be hoping he's at the table
-
An Everton v Spurs final would be a cracking game and nice to see. I still think it will happen.
-
Give them a few early touches of the ball to get the nerves out the way - they will be nerves as they will be so keen to impress. Once thats out the way then hopefully they show their potential. Have to say, I wish i could see this game tonight as i would be looking forward to seeing all these players.
-
If Carroll leaves then Im up for getting a replacement but not someone who isnt better than our current back up. Smith is ample at the moment. It would have to be a name who is going to come in and keep McGregor on his toes.
-
Was thinking it may be quite soon and was away to post I'll go to it one year. But I just noticed its April and I could be in UK around then. If I am and there is a ticket available then I'll go. Will check a bit nearer the time.

Yeah Souness probably does make a "B" list with McLeish. Burley MIGHT get into this catergory aswell. But Billy Davies and McGhee were certainly "C" listers, with Calderwood, Jefferies and Burns being lower again. It would be interesting to see which level Dalglish and J Jordon would come in - possibly "B" list? I think Moyes has to be in the top list. He would certainly have been one of the top choices if available.
