I dont know if Wenger is bluffing though. He has taken the entire squad to Manchester with him. So he may yet field a strong team - hence why il wait until near K/o for the bet.
-
Ive got Ipswich and Motherwell aswell bud, just away to place my bet. Was due to put MK Dons on aswell but the game got called off this second - cant beat Talksport! Definatly having a tenner on the Goons once I see the line up. They are flying whilst Man U have had 2 bad games in a row.
-
Are you kidding me!! Hold on and il get you some proof
-
Showing your age Jimmy boy, he was before my time
-
Anyone had a look at the coupon yet. My early teams which could chage are: Middlesboro Ipswich Forest Tempted to have a bet on Arsenal at 11/4 aswell.

Gullit couldnt control himself, and that must have been live tv! Quality. Yip he makes the team for being Lennon.
-
Gullit laughing is hilarious What a fat bassa he is there.
-
You got to have Southall though - he was massive. Ok Robinson on the bench. Lennon makes the squad. I didnt get that coverage of Lennon taking his top off so didnt see Souness laughing. But those Ive mentioned were pretty much fat throughout there career. I just had another there and totally forgot who it was Im reluctant to say Gazza - he was always a pound or 2 overweight but it made him a better player at times. He could get away with it due to being that good. So he stays out the team
-
Sorry but IMO that team is very average with too many run of the mill SPL players.
-
That because WS played the likes of Moore in midfield and never picked the team right.
-
Depends if this is down to other clubs getting richer or us getting poorer. But imagine if us and Celtic were in a league on par with the Milans, Madrid and Man U etc - we'd be stonking rich. We have been in and around the top 20 for as long as I can remember while playing in a small league. I dont see a Rosenburg, Anderlecht or benfica in this list.
-
Lets see if we can get a football fat XI: P Robinson N Southall Jan Molby Hartson Ronaldo Lampard Andy Reid (anyone see him making his debut for Sunderland against Wigan last week - the TV pundits here in stitches how fat he is) Neil Ruddock John Barnes Micky Quinn Ivan Campo
-
I think I heard Kevin Blackwell has taken over for this weekends game - he is as bad!

What goes up must come down. I really think something big could happen to the Premier League in the next 5 years or so. Rumour has it ESPN are going to out bid Sky in the next tv rights bid which means the tv schedule will be ran from the US. Sky has brought on the Premier League but imagine the revenue loss they would have if they lost the rights!!

Yip i'll 3rd that. Plus those who say he must be in the team are acting like he is the only one who can score and if he doesnt play it means the team wont score. This is nonsense, we are still winning games at the moment. Boyd coming in wont improve us due to his style of play or make us score more per game, all it may do is change the name of the goalscorer and make us less active in the final 3rd.

They cant be that bad if your having 2 a game Mainstandbear The food used to always be spot on in the club deck when I had my ST up there. There was always a bit more choice and the chicks serving were alright. But it would be easier biting into your seat and it would be cooler having your tongue welded than eating the broomloan pies.
-
Does anyone buy half time pies or burgers etc from Ibrox? IIRC the last few pies I had were like concrete round the edges but piping hot in the middle and couldnt eat it for about 10 mins. I remember one of the last games I was at was Porto a few years ago and the guy infront of me had a curry pie which was so hot he didnt start to eat it until about the 70th minute, but we actually scored when he was about to bite into it and the curry poured all over his hand and he was in agony with the heat of it. About 3 of his mates plus me were wetting ourselves at him. Just wondered if the pies had improved yet??

Aberdeen are also a far far far lesser team than Munich while we are on par with Panathinikos at the moment. But we should be a better team than the greeks and I expect Rangers to give them a tougher game that what we did.

Different levels. The Scottish game wasnt far behind par with europes finest when McCoist burst on the scene. He was scoring in the 80s and early 90s for fun. The Scottish game has went backwards while the top league in europe have went forward. So McCoists era was a much higher standard. Boyd isnt fit (literially) to lace Super Allys boots. Coist worked harder, had more skill, ran faster, moved more, did more in general. You only have to watch the McCoist clip and see he was much quicker than Boyd. Even in 1995 when Coisty wasnt playing so much he still did more - who can forget the goal he set up for Gazza at Parkhead when Gazza ran up to the Bears lifting his shirt above his head. For that goal McCoist came wide right at fullpace and swang in a brilliant ball for Gazza - can you imagine Boyd even getting over the the right touchline in a game?? You can make comparisions with the situations they are in but not the standard of player.
-
You cant play Gazza left mid Wija!!
-
If they are not practising that in general then questions should be asked what on earth they do in training. Surely Shooting has to be part of the training schedule for strikers.
-
Its a pity he doesnt go back to his old 3-5-2 but get players in the right positions this time. That way we could fit in Boyd (however I wouldnt start him) plus keep 3 central midfielders and 2 wide men.

Rangers 0 : 0 Panathinaikos - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Agree with Pete and Alan, CC is far ahead of Ferguson for me. Alan Hutton would still be my current choice though. -
Thats a great result for Aberdeen, ok its the UEFA cup but to draw and maybe deserve more against Bayern Munich would be a great result for many better teams than Aberdeen. The sheep are a very very average side but you have to say thats the way to play in europe - have a go at teams when your at home.

George Graham would easy have been a popular choice amoungst fans. If we got him with a good assistant like Joe Jordan then we would have been a very solid side IMO and id fancy our chance to qualify. I just purely rate El Tel as a manager and always have done. Granted he hasnt been doing much lately but that doesnt mean to say he has become a bad coach.
