  1. I just cant take to Womens football. But there seems to be this stigma that if you arent with it you are against it. The world has gone mad...Womens football just isnt good and can I say that without risking a comeback - of course I can, Its my opinion.
  2. The Dutch are back. Couldnt have been a better result to remind England they are so average. They crept to the semi finals of the WC playing crap and have been found out again. Average team and poor manager.
  3. Hateley and Laudrup upfront. That was deadly. Walter got it wrong in Europe playing Moore midfield. Advocaat messed up not keeping laudrup - Imagine him upfront in that team? Mols and Laudrup as a forward line.
  4. Walking in a Laudrup wonderland.....
  5. A decent debate question is - was Laudrup better then Gascoigne? For me its a yes.
  6. Might have went down like the De Boer brothers though. Michael was peaking late 80s and early 90s during the 3 foreigner rule and at a time when signing from overseas wasnt so fashionable, plus we was scooping domestically. Im happy with Brian though, easily the best and most enjoyable player Ive ever seen at Ibrox.
  7. Always love THAT Walter interview, hilarious. IMO Laudrup was world class and a stand out player who did change and elevate the Scottish Game. He did perform at other levels, he was MOTM in WC 98 when Denmark played Brazil. His Italy stint just didnt work out and he chose wrong in moving to Chelsea who were signing foreigners for fun in 1998. Pete always says he was World Class in Scotland, yet he is the best performer Ive seen in Scotland so if the likes of Souness and Dalglish were world class then Laudrup has to be. I would say Laudrup, Gascoigne and Larsson are easily the best 3 players to play in the country and easily world class.
  8. St Mirren v Dundee Utd play off was better than that final. Absolute garbage match. Ajax and Barca would have been kicking themselves. It was mistake after mistake after mistake especially in the first half. Spurs big players didnt get going, Eriksson didnt do his move to Madrid any good as he had the worst game he will have. Alli who I think is over rated anyway was poor. Son got pass marks - just. Kane clearly wasnt fit and you cant blame Lucas for being pissed off for being dropped. For a tactical Genius Mo Po got this one wrong and should have played 5-3-2. Its the first game this season Liverpool didnt get any flow at all from midfield to the forwards, it was two goals from nothing. Two all english finals, two poor games. The likes of Bayern, Juve, Real, Barca and Ajax wont be fearing the English teams at all as said by some pundits - even Man City must be kicking themselves.
  9. Im hearing numerous Liverpool players and pundits saying they deserve to win it. Wrong - they deserve to be in the final, they will only deserve to win it after the 90 minutes. Spurs have been near exit 5 times in the tournament. They only had 1 point after 3 group games and their Quarter and Semi final wins were unreal. I hope Spurs win it but think Liverpool will win it by 2 goals.
  10. A final potentially ruined by location, UEFA didnt do their homework properly. Not to mention a match where one player cant even travel. Countries with these type of issues shouldnt even be allowed to bid. This match should have 20000 of each support in the ground instead 6000 tickets were handed back. I do fancy Chelsea as they seem stronger and have Hazard who can win any game, plus Arsenals defence is worrying. They also HAVE to play Leno, go with the best team and no sentiment over Cech who is going to Chelsea next season. But if Arsenal play both Lacazette and Aubameyang then its game on especially if Ozil has a good game. I hope Emery springs a surprise like this. Leno Mustafi Koscienly Sokratis Monreal Xhaka Torriera Kolasanic Ozil Lacazette Aubameyang Come the Gooners.
  11. A fair winner for Tav. McGregor has been outstanding since returning but Tav has taken the mantle of a captains role. Morelos too many red cards for my vote. I still went with YPOTY Kent - for a 20 year old to come north to new surroundings and fit in with blinding performances I think he deserved a vote. He has the world at his feet with the right coaching.
  12. There should have been a clause in that deal if they got to the europa final the game gets moved. Im a big fan of loftus cheek, i think he is a wonderful player and he was just getting into the side - rightfully. Still think Chelsea will ease the final though, Arsenal are wimps at the moment. The defense is as poor as you get in the league.
  13. Craig im expecting champers all round.
  14. Its probably the best appointment since Walter Smith. Does anyone else think or know if there if the national team divides fans from clubs?
  15. Whats happened to you mate :-) Ive stopped copying you A good job by Rousseau though to maintain it.
  16. Frankie, I dont think you would have started this thread 12 months ago so it says testiment to the progression made - is that fair? So its refreshing to see we can have this again and says we are rebuilding. It was always going to be a bit of a lengthy one to get back to the top. For Tav to get near 20 from full back is astonishing figures but ive always always been a winger fan and I just voted Kent. I think he has everything in his locker to become a top notch player.
  17. What was Chelsea thinking last week playing a friendly in the US and now Loftus Cheek is out for 6 months.
  18. Probably a good appointment. He is very well respected where ever he goes. He has a slight dour personality yet has deserved this crack at the whip after what he did for Kilmarnock. Aside from this, I see Brighton took Potter from Swansea - I cant work that one out.
  19. I think chelsea start as hot favourites and can see them winning it. They seem that bit stronger all over the park. Hazard is unplayable on his day and delivers unlike ozil. In saying that i hope im wrong. Actually thinking about going to baku for it, im currently in dubai so its a bad trip for me, easier than it is for the londoners.
  20. I reckon super ally is enjoying life too much being a pundit to take manager jobs seriously
  21. Quite funny that we are used to Dundee Utd being out of the top flight. However i think they will get past St mirren and get promoted
  22. An absolute roasting. City can now be measured with the great Man utd and Arsenal teams from the premier league era. And Wolves go into europe with this result, i wonder how that will affect them. Teams in the europa go backwards but i have a feeling they will take it in their stride
  23. Would be nice to finish the season in style and surpass the 80 point mark but the best result today would be for the players to come off that pitch injury free
  24. A good listen, enjoyable. Big DJ was spot on with everything.
  25. I was hoping Leeds go up aswell but fair play to Derby. Overall they will feel redemption for spygate. With hindsight Terry v Lampard at Wembley was always on the cards. Lampard gets good respect but I think Villa would be the better club for the Premier League.
