Match Thread [FT] Hearts 1 - 3 Rangers (McCart o.g. 20, 73; Cerny 61)
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Capitulated is the right word - and havent recovered since those results, just further regression. If it was a blip then fair enough, he originally had enough credit after getting us into the title race this time last year after Beale disaster but now we have gone a longer period with these poor performances and results so quite rightly massive questions to be asked. -
Second legs tonight. AC Milan v Feyenoord (0-1) - This will be tough for Milan to overturn, I think it could go to Penalties. Atalanta v Club Brugge (1-2) I think a home win and enough to go through. Benfica v Monaco (1-0) home win to finish the job. Bayern Munich v Celtic (2-1) I think Bayern hit them for 3 or 4.
-
Sunderland have probably blown their chances of auto promotion, a couple of bad home draws and lates goals. Although its Sheff Utd v Leeds next Monday night so the door may open again especially for Burnley.
-
There is no way they will go down, Ipswich and Wolves would need to win 4 more games out of 13 than Man Utd and thats not happening.
-
Yeah Butland. Outfield Hagi but Dessers was good when he came on.
-
Holy Mahogany - Long long long time Pete. Hope you are doing well. For the thread - I'm trying to think of the most bizarre, it would defo be overseas somewhere
-
Tottenham win to get back to back league wins and 12th is slightly better on the eye for them. But Man Utd are in crisis, I dont think Amorin signed up for this and I can see him walking unless he gets about 7 first teamers in the summer.

Agreed chaps, Boyd drives me bonkers. He seems to have a personal agenda. We all want more effort and more attractive football. However we still have a far bigger budget than the other 10 league clubs and there is no excuse for being so poor away from home at St Mirren, Motherwell, Dundee etc. -

I hear what you are saying but yesterday was a bizarre way to win, no way can we rely on 2 own goals every week and the keeper keeping us in it at 0-0. -

Not sure what to say. That might go down as our worst win ever if there is such a thing. Second half was better than the first but it wasnt exactly difficult to play like the first 45 again. I dont think the manager or players can hide, that result actually papers over a lot of cracks. Still - a nice way to stick it up to Hearts though. -

Got to sign McCart in the summer It was a great ball from Hagi back in his 10 role -
One team that cant defend against one team that cant attack, it could be any scoreline. Liverpool v Wolves isnt a great game to be part of a Super Sunday double, fair enough if it was at Molineux but this should be a routine comfortable home win.

Absolute dire on the eye, Butland 3 top notch saves although he created the third one. Very lucky to be leading. -

Depressing. I have the feeling we will get out numbered in midfield today -
City back in the top 4 and I expect them to stay there and eventually get 3rd. There are just grounds teams never turn up and Newcastle cant show up at the Etihad. Bournemouth in 5th is unreal, and as it stands in a Champions League place. West Ham - disaster. The PE teacher is off to a slow start. The manager they should have went for was in the opposite dugout. Everton - What a transformation Moyes has done, they are now going for top 10. Arsenal - cant run the rest of the season hoping midfielders will bail them out like that.
-
And Eustace first game is a hammering at QPR that was so bad they dropped into the relegation zone on goal difference. The teams around them have 2 games in hand but luckily for Derby that Hull, Luton and Plymouth all have tough fixtures today
-
I hope you lumped something on that 7/4. The first goal from Mitoma is goal of the season - absolutely world class. And well done both the player and the club for rejecting 70M in the transfer window. Didnt see that hammering coming at all, I watched most of the game and Chelsea were so poor and out played.
-
Ok chaps, your going to have to help me out with a few names in the back row that has gone over my head - firstly this team would be circa 1975?? Ive got, Gordon Smith, Alex Miller, and Peter McCloy in the back row. Front: Sandy Jardine, Derek Johnstone, Alex McDonald, John Greig, Tommy McLean, Not Sure and Davie Cooper.

Hearts are in good form, they havent lost since the Edinburgh derby on Boxing day. They were dog awful in the first half of the season and the only time they showed up was on the opening day of the season against us with a 0-0. So they will be up for this again with 3rd place in their sights. Ive no idea what to expect from our side but its getting a bit repetitive that they are due us a performance. All that aside, Im looking forward to the game. -
But they will be thankful Craig Levein created the 4-6-0 formation now that Havertz joins Jesus in the treatment room.

GPL Predictions Bluebear54's GPL 2024/25: Rangers vs Ross County
Gribz replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Was just doing the Hearts prediction thread and remembered I didnt reply to this one. I came into it too late and would be well off the pace so thought I'd just do my score predictions but no need for Rousseau to add me in. However I'll be promoted into it next season and be going for a European spot. That 4-0 Hagi was worth double points. -

Hearts 1-1 Rangers FGS Igamane -
As there is a Friday game, predictions are in early. Newcastle havent won at Man City since 2000 at Maine Road, could that run end on Saturday? I am still waiting for City to click. Brighton 1-2 Chelsea Leicester 0-2 Arsenal Aston Villa 1-0 Ipswich Fulham 1-1 Nottingham Forest Man City 2-1 Newcastle Southampton 0-2 Bournemouth West Ham 2-0 Brentford Crystal Palace 1-0 Everton Liverpool 3-0 Wolves Tottenham 3-2 Man Utd
-
Ange certainly might, like Clement he has got the Europa to save himself. But Man Utd cant possibly change again, Amorin has to be given the players he wants, although I wouldnt be surprised if he walked away realising he joined the wrong club - and then rocked back up at the other side of Manchester.
-
Tottenham v Man Utd is a belter with the positions of both clubs. Could be 5-5
