  1. There may be a bit of bullshit there but its pleasing he is not sulking anyway. Strange that he is involved when there was doubt about him staying then as soon as he is confirmed to stay he wasnt in the squad until JCD got injured again I can only assume that this is due to the Werder Breman game in midweek
  2. Great to read about Davis again, at last we have a midfielder who wants to go forward. IMO he and Novo give us much more when they are on the park. And Dailly has to get a mention, he is in great shape and has done a fine job so far.
  3. I see what your saying Pete but I was impressed by him a few years ago at Villa. So id sign him. Would a straight swap with Cousin not be a good deal? Although I wonder if the latter stays on if Fulham go down.
  4. How about putting it up and letting us read the article then?

I listen to his program with my breakfast on a sunday morning just to hear clowns calling in. What nonsense he mentioned himself near the start - he said WS and AM dont want Rangers to be in the UEFA cup at this moment as a) we cant win it and b) its a hinder for the SPL. I disagree with both points. Winning it would be difficult due to the likes of Bayern Munich being in it but its not the champions league with the top sides. I certainly dont fear Bremen this midweek and if we get past them then who knows. A last 8 or last 4 finish would be great for us. I also dont think its a hinder to winning the title. The SPL / SFA are the hinder with fixture congestion they throw up. The league cup should be finished by October like it used to rather than being played until easter and if they got there fingers out and make sure pitches etc were in good condition then games wouldnt get cancelled and we'd have enough time to prepare better. The countries footballing bodies are the ones hindering there OWN clubs chances of progression with there schedule - a disgrace. Also, WS needs to use his squad more. If he has a first time memeber who he cant rely on coming in and doing a job then punt them. Those who havent featured recently (who we all know) should be involved. If its a money thing with Buffel then thats a disgrace also - he could be the difference between success and "nearly" again. Anyway, id rather have UEFA cup semi final than a league cup final against Dundee Utd. Ok winning a trophy again is huge for us at the moment but I believe the title and scottish cup will bo ours. Plus the 2 are different competitions and there is no reason why we cant have both.
  6. Bassa! I looked at it at 3/1 and didnt back it!!! Rotherham cost me yesterday! Had: Bristol City (won 2-1) Darlington (Won 3-1) MK Dons (won 1-0) Peterboro (won 1-0) Rotherham 5th in the league (lost to Accrington Stanley 16th 1-0) :uzi:
  7. Watched the 2nd half of the Arsenal game, you always think they will score at home but this time it didnt look like it. The goal was 92:57 - 3 seconds left!! Villa will be kicking themseleves, they had a breakin the 91st min but were caught offside stupidly. I had a nice wee jump up in the bed when Arsenal scored and i think thats a huge goal in the title race. As for West Ham - Ive said all season the defence are a death trap.
  8. Fuckin 3-0 Chelsea already! West Ham defence are shockingly shit. I wont be watching anymore of that game then, il switch over to Arsenal and Man U games.
  9. "Others" wasnt a former striker Pete, you could have ticked that
  10. Its good to see Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea all kick off at 3pm on a saturday. But i noticed they are all playing in the capital. Its a busy day for footy there and you wouldnt be stuck for game if you were in London Town. London's finest PC's will have to be on guard today in the tube stations. Arsenal v Villa Fulham v Man Utd West Ham v Chelsea Millwall v Bristol Rovers Barnet v Shrewsbury
  11. Your not allowed to vote for yourself
  12. I think the Scottish game is pretty poor in general. But i blame it on the grass roots. The set up from school onwards isnt good and the style of football is to punt a ball rather than pass and move. The SPL isnt pretty on the eye and id say on par with League 1 in England. The OF are streets ahead of that of course, but due to the oppositions style of play we are being held back and forced to play ugly games. It isnt the worst in europe but id rather watch a top flight game from Holland between 2 sides who are far down the league than Kilmarnock v St Mirren simply because I think the football would be better to watch.
  13. Mhanks just scored All Hibs in the first half, all Celtic in the 2nd
  14. There is just too much green on show. The pitch, the seats, the fans clothes and both teams - horrible site. How thick are Celtic - there away strip is also green, the purpose of a changed strip is to have different colours for the likes of this game. Bassa - Hibs just had a goal chopped off

Great stuff, he is still only 28 and looks like he will keep himself in good condition for a good few years yet.
  16. It is bloody tough due to what they all brought to the club in their own way. But Laudrup gave me the most enjoyment and changed scottish football in my time that I saw with my own eyes. He was amazing at the time. Gazza is a football legend for me along with Maradona but from Rangers point of view Laudrup was the guy I wanted to be when playing in the park. Super Ally was awesome and is exactly what the club is all about, i loved him but when Laudrup came i was 15 and thats the time in life when you get hero's.
  17. Who pips it for you? Can only get 10 options so couldnt fit Konterman in But Laudrup for me
  18. Anyone having another flutter and feeding the bookies money this weekend? Tough coupon to predict. But i fancy West Ham strongly today along with a draw at Easter Road. A ten quid double returns 160 quid!
  19. Pete does this for the SPL matches so il do one for the Premier down south: Arsenal v Aston Villa Big game for the Gunners. They have reported to have lost an edge since the FA cup game at Man Utd. They couldnt ask for a tougher home match at the moment with Villa giving 4th place a real go. Arsenals record against Villa is superb but its a good time for Villa to try and change that. Arsene Wenger has to settle his players down and start a fresh in the run in. Very narrow home win. Birmingham v Tottenham Birmingham got a great point against the other north london club last weekend that was overshadowed by Eduardo's injury. They will have to scrap home points if they are to stay up. Spurs are gloating from winning the league cup last sunday. If they carry on the momentum they could go on a great run and finish in the top 8 after a shocking start this season. I think this will finish a draw though. Derby v Sunderland Paul Jewell came out in midweek and practically said his players are shit - but we all knew that. He has given them a slaughtering and has said he will make lots of changes this week. It may be a kick up the ass for them despite being 4 months too late. Sunderland are in a real relegation scrap and are poor away from home. This is a championship match IMO but Im going for a rare Derby win. Fulham v Man Utd Fulham can buy a win at the moment despite being unlucky in many games all season. They have to start start getting points soon or they are down. They do have a good chance of survival if they get 2 wins in the next few weeks. Man Utd are flying but may rest a player or 2 with Lyon coming up in midweek. I have a sneaky feeling for a draw here. Man City v Wigan Man City have came back down to earth after there great start. They wont rule out a place in europe yet and will fancy 3 points today. Wigan are doing well at the moment, Steve Bruce has got them out of the bottom 3 and are only 2 points behind Newcastle. But they will be back in a relegation battle in the next few weeks - Home win Middlesbrough v Reading Boro are on a bit of a role also with only 1 defeat in 10. Reading are in free fall with 8 straight defeats. If that doesnt stop soon they will go down. For a relegatiobn battle Boro seem high favourties here. But they had 120 mins against Sheff Utd in midweek. Readings run has to stop somewhere and they may get a point today. Newcastle v Blackburn Newcastle are a laughing stock. I keep expecting them to get a result somewhere but they keep losing. If Keegan doesnt get a win soon they will be in deep trouble. I dont know what it is but I just see another twist coming at St James' Pk soon which will see someone high profile leaving. Blackburn are a well run club and a match for anyone on there day. They will fancy this trip today and Sparky Hughes will try and take advantage of the poor Newcastle situation. Score draw for me. West Ham v Chelsea Banker home win! But for the first time since his appointment - Avram Grant has a bit of media attention his way with his selections for the cup final which he was expected to win. He has got selection problems due to the great squad he has and he cant work out how to fit them now that they are all available. West Ham have had some poor home draws against Reading, Bolton and Birmingham this season. Had they taken them then they would be well in for europe. They have beaten Liverpool and Man U at home though. They also have only lost 2 games in 18 which is a great run. They havent beaten Chelsea for a long time and it will end today - home win! Sunday: Bolton v Liverpool Bolton are tough at home. Gary Megson had a small revival which has disappeared lately. They will be in the scrap right until the end. Liverpool are a scaled down version of Newcastle at the moment and with Inter away coming up Rafa is likely to rotate again. If he doesnt rotate and Liverpool's first XI turn up they should ease this game but I dont see that happening and expect a draw. Everton v Portsmouth Two very good teams. Everton are superbly run at the moment and pushing for a 4th place. They look like they will get it aswell. Pompey are great on the road but dont have the free flowing football they had when Benjami was upfront. Defoe and Baros give something different. This could be game of the weekend but I fancy a home win.

Whats the story with his contract? Is he out of a deal at the summer? He is a player we should tie down for another 3 years. He loves the club, plays with a smile on his face and gives everything - an asset IMO. He always offers something coming off the bench in any game. He is the sort of squad player we need and at the moment should be in the first XI. Probably one of my fave Gers players at the moment.
  21. I'll go: Draw Draw Dundee Utd Inverness Kilmarnock Rangers

Great stuff Nacho - And he should be first pick at the moment, he deserves it
  23. Great read, but id swap Gazza with Laudrup in that 4-4-2 above
  24. Was very happy to hear this!! He could blast us to the league plus the next phase of the UEFA cup!!! If his attitude is right then he is by far the best striker at our club
  25. Smith needs time time and time!! Papac has been great of late and doesnt deserve to be dropped. Bring Smith back gradually for me - blend him in for next season.
