  1. 1-0 to Man Utd already - Ronaldo yet again. 37 for the season now. Unstopable.
  2. Aye he was close to getting the whip, although it would have been Jon doing the whipping
  3. Nice wee booster for him
  4. It would appear that way but if Middlesboro get something today then Chelsea are right in it.
  5. I fancied Motherwell to get a draw but a 1-0 is magic! It takes a wee bit of pressure of us on Sunday now which can only be a good thing.
  6. Aye ok Mr Craig! I'll do a detention now
  7. Fuckin is too!!! Simon Lappin 33 mins
  8. Im actually hoping for Cardiff, i think they would give pompey a better game. Although I hope the winner of this tie wins the cup. I Still think if Cardiff can play in this comp then the OF can.
  9. Fud! And where was your preview :uzi: Sacked for sure this time!!! :uzi:
  10. Has Boab scored????
  11. Pompey in the final!! Id have rather seen an all Championship final but fair play to Portsmouth - they won at Old Trafford. Huge favourites for the cup which is credit to 'Arry now but Cardiff may have something to say....or even Barnsley!!!
  12. 1-0 Chelsea at Man City already - Go on the Chelski!!! Im just hoping for a good finish to the league. Imagine how good the fixture between Chelsea and Man Utd will be in a few weeks if there is nothing between them.
  13. 1-1 again with Liverpool. As usual they have all the possestion but cant take chances. its becoming far too much of a trend now for Arsenal am Im beginning to doubt Wenger. I looked at him on the sidelines today (the camera had him on a lot) and he was a picture of desperation. It seems his stubborness to not sign players and stick with youth has cost him again. Thats 1 win in 7 games - absolute relegation form never mind title form. If he had a bit more to offer then they would have won the league this season. No doubt the Eduardo incident took a lot out them, but where everyone was saying Henry wasnt a miss at the start of the season he has certainly been a miss in the last 6 weeks. Its all down to Chelsea to give Man Utd a challenge. They have to win at Man City now.
  14. Hopefully
  15. Enjoy yourselfs lads.
  16. I think we are entitled to ask for a better product from August to January but from February onwards when we are fighting on all fronts its all about winning games as its getting us closer to victory. There is no comparsing between now and PLG / Eck era. I bet the Green end would also love to be in our position. There are always going to be Boo-boys on some aspects but its crazy when we are in a great position just now. Im just a little disappointed with the extra cautious play, I think we could add a wee bit more attack wise.

I pressed the info button on my TV guide for the game tomorrow and it mentions DeMarcus Beasley being close to a return.
  18. Celtic v Motherwell - I wouldnt rule out a draw at all. Gretna v Inverness - Probably the worst possible game to ever watch - Away Win Hibs v St Mirren - Home Win Kilmarnock v Hearts - I can see Killie nicking this - Home Win Dundee Utd v Rangers - Away Win Aberdeen v Falkirk - Home Win
  19. A few points that I couldnt agree more with and have been hovering Ibrox for a good few years now. Its so frustrating. Even Barry Ferguson should really have sat out a few more games than just the likes of East Stirling. In the 4-5-1 system we had a perfect chance to give Gow or Buffel a chance. When Davis came in it seemed to help with the attack side of the midfield but all of a sudden he gets punted out to the right wing - baffling.
  20. I dont know about that. What cost us 10IAR was possibly WS making it public knowledge that he would leave at the end of the season and Advocaat was coming. Also DA made it clear a few players wouldnt be part of his plans hence Gazza shooting off to Middleboro. As Andy Goram said, if a half fit Gazza had stayed it would have made the difference to winning a couple of matches and winning the league. It was 2 silly defeats to Aberdeen and Kilmarnock in April 1998 that cost us the title. If WS wins us the quadriple this season or even the treble plus a UEFA semi / runners up would he still not be the man to take us forward??? He certainly has done more than steady a ship this season for me.

Hopefully he gets at least 30 mins off the bench. If not then an hour. Its not like he can pull up with a recurrance of a hamstring injury etc. He just needs to wear a mask.
  22. Arsenal v Liverpool: Arsenal were robbed of a clear cut penalty in the same fixture in the CL during the week. The dominated most of the match but its seems its advantage Liverpool with the away goal for the 2nd leg. So with that game in the balance it may have a baring on this league match would could see Arsenal close the gap to 3 points on Man Utd albeit until Sunday. Home Win. Aston Villa v Bolton: 2 teams on a bad run of form recently. Villa were pressing to 4th place not long ago but havent won for 4 weeks and Bolton have barely scored in that period. If Bolton lose this it could put the final nail on their coffin. Villa wont want to lose to a relegation threatend team for the 2nd time in a row at home which was sandwiching a hammering at Old Trafford. Home win. Blackburn v Tottenham: Spurs are really up and down. They can play super football and win games then lose at home the following. Nobody expecting them to be thumped by Newcastle. Blackburn are still pushing for europe but have had a blip of late. Should be a close game. Draw. Fulham v Sunderland: Make or break for Fulham. A win almost secures Sunderland' premier league status. They have had 2 terrific wins in a row at Villa and at home to West Ham despite a 96th minute winner. Fulham have it all to do and must surely be down if they dont win this. The momentum is with the away side - Away win. Man City v Chelsea: Good game on paper but Man City are just not the same team as they were Pre Christmas. You would have faniced themselves against any team at home then. Chelsea just keep dragging wins out to stay in the title hunt and will see this as a great chance to put pressure on Man Utd with there rivals having to go to Boro, then play Arsenal at home before they meet them at Stamford Bridge. They lost out in midweek in the CL but i dont think it will have a baring here. Away win. Newcastle v Reading: All of a sudden the Keegan Honeymoon period comes back with back to back wins and 6 goals in 2 games. They will avoid relegation now due to those 2 wins and Bolton not picking up points but they are still a team in a mess. Reading are still punching abover there weight in the league but should also survive. They are capable of getting a point on there day but it wont be this weekend. Home Win. Wigan v Birmingham: Huge match which sees Steve Bruce play his old side. The Wigan putch is still a mess. Wigan were ok a few weeks ago but now they are with Birmingham and looking over there shoulder at Bolton. Brum got a vital win last week against Man City to give them a bit of breathing space. Cant see anything other than a draw here. Everton v Derby: Everton have almost lost out on the battle for 5th place after a no wins in there last 3. However they may see this weekend as a great chance to get back in the hunt. They will think Arsenal can win at the Emirates and they should easily overcome Derby. Derby are officially relegated despite being unofficially down since October. Paul Jewell has claimed his side are an embarrassment but for me he has been the only embarressment stating this so much in public. Its an insult to the great work done by Billy Davis, who took a struggling Championship side to the Premier League in no time. Davies was a victim of his own success and he joined in the EPL with much the same team he had in the Championship. All the Derby fans wanted and expected was a season in there to get the cash. Sometime when teams are down they play a bit better but not here - Home win and I hope Jewell gets stuffed. Middlesboro v Man Utd: Middlesboro did well at Chelsea last week and were very unlucky not to get a draw. Southgate has impressed me this season after I expected him to struggle. He conducts himself very well. He is up against here though. Man Utd are on fire and Ronaldo just doesnt stop scoring. Arsenal and Chelsea will be hoping for a potential slip up here by Man Utd but Sir Awex wont let it happen. Away Win. West Ham v Portsmouth: This game is moved to Tuesday due to Pompey playing in the FA cup semi final. West Ham's season is over as european places are almost beyond them unless they get a few back to back wins. Curbishley has struggled with injuries in his first full season but he really should have got some better results at Upton Pk. Drawing with the likes of Reading, Birmingham and Bolton isnt good enough for where West Ham expect to be. Pompey are still going for 6th place. Their form in this game may depend on the FA cup game. Home Win.
  23. It does maybe show a bit of desperation from Chezz but I can see him leaving this summer anyway. Lennon and Lambert as Co managers next season??? That would be hilarious.
  24. The shagger is another who i think is very happy with life at Ibrox and will be with us for years to come. I see what Juff is saying - i could see Carlos staying aswell.
