....and the little one said roll over roll over, and they all rolled over and 1 fell out. There were 9999 Bears ..... Hopefully they have all somehow got tickets to get right behind the players.

Can't believe we're one goal away from european semi
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
This is the games where pretty performances dont come into it at all. I'll take us going through on pens or a dull 1-1, just anything. Id love to see us in the Semi finals. I still cant get the 0-0 1st leg out of my head though. -
Agreed, i like a stadium which has deep close up stands. Dortmunds stadium is a good example. Also agree with most of Calscots post but I do think 60k+ is needed. The struth stand could probably stay but the rest would come down IMO.

I think there is a lot of caution at the moment with it being so evenly poised. We are 7/2 with the bookies to win. If we got a goal at Ibrox id be overjoyed but im really cautious about tonight. Would be unbelievable if we nicked through here though -
I have to say both McCoist and Durrant have a good way to go. Id see Durranty as a more scary figure and having an assistant like John Brown next to him would get a lot out of players. But its not all about firing players up, they need to be tactically aware. PLG just didnt work out for other reasons as much as anything else. Michael Laudrup would be superb in the next few years but he is going to get snapped up soon enough.

Sapporo Dome, retracable surface. But only holds 42,000 but can see where he is coming from basing on this one and this with 60,000 to 70,000 would be awesome. http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/asia/japan/hokkaido/sapporo_dome.shtml http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sapporo_Dome

The stadium stiff is exciting and I think the stadium does need a bit of a refurbish, especially the Broomloan and Copland. Its the best part of 30 years old now so it would be good to have it modernised for the next 40 years. Trophy wise, Murray has had a succesful era though - 28 in 20 years isnt bad which could also go past 30 this year!!!

He must be gutted about Torres but Babel has been average this season. He is coming onto a game now an his pace is electric. If i was Wenger though Id be playing Walcott in a free role from now on, I still cant believe how good his solo was to set up the 2nd goal.

Where's The Boy Harley?? Let us know whats going on:) Have to say, i wouldnt mind getting a set of hand cuffs round Brady and giving her a dooing. I was surprised she was only 39, shes been in the game for ages. I wonder how many players have nailed her.

Neville finally came back then!! Good to see even though he is a bit of a tosser. Barca arent playing there best but if they turn it on then the semi final should be an absolute belter. Henry, Messi, Ronaldhino, Deco and Eto v Ronaldo, Giggs, Tevez, Rooney and Scholes

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/default.stm Great league again. This has to the division with the most competitive league anywhere and its good excitement for the fans. When West Ham were down there a few seasons ago it was quite enjoyable. The battle at the bottom is great. 4 former established Premier legue teams are battling it to stay up - Sheff Wed, Leicester, Southampton and Coventry.

I got the game delayed last time but only found out the next day, the TV listings had the other 3 quarters all listed. So il be getting up and checking this time round. I had no idea who the commentators were last time, they were possibly from Eurosport but thank god its not Crocker and Booth.

Why is it as soon as Cech gets injured, Cudicini follows! They must like to see each other in the treatment room http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/7338041.stm

WS is going to go down as a huge legend and solid figure at the club. In 30 years or so I think he will be up there as high as Struth for what he did in era one alone. No exaggeration, but when us lot are telling our grand children about The Rangers that we recall we will look back at WS.

On the dark side I do think Strachan will be out 1 way or another. Its going to be tough for a new man to come in and match his record in the same time period especially Rangers are back on the map. One thing about Chessney this season is he is weakened there squad a lot with his signings. Whoever goes to them will have to spend a wee bit. I cant believe people would actually want WS out. This season has reminded me of 1992/93 many times with the amount of games and Im probably correct in saying that was the last year we were still in 4 competitions in April. He has taken us a ridiculous distance in a short time but a minor flaw of playing "play not to lose" football - which has resulted in us being in this postion with a "never say die attitude" - has got some boo boys on his back. Of course we all want to see better football and we will comment on some performances and strange tactical selections at times - but we are human fans who read the game well. Doesnt mean to say we would all swap our position - i wouldnt anyway. I beleive WS will see out his 3 year deal before either handing over to Super Ally or someone else coming in. I also agree SA isnt near ready for the hot seat. We have seen in many games this season WS coming down from the stand to undo something Ally was about to do - but thats fine, its Ally learning! And its great to see WS allowing SA to take charge in games and he will correct the mistakes - its like driving lessons when your instructor has a clutch and break at his side also. But for WS to juggle running the team mightly successfully this season and bringing Ally on at the same time is a massive feat and shows the qualities he has got.

Nah as long as we get a preview up 36 hours or so before a game Im happy whoever does it and if people give notice to not being able then its fine.

Absolute disgrace. Arsenal were robbed. They had a clear cut pen in the 1st leg and that was not a penalty last night. The initial contact was outside the box (if any) then the guys legs went. It did look like a pen at the first instance from the side but from all other angles it was never a pen. We should be sitting here talking about how good Walcotts run was for the goal - that was simply amazing from the young man. He ran 80 yards then showed amazing maturity to just cut it back for 3 arsenal players to knock it in. Bu Adebyeor should have scored a bit before that aswell. As Craig says Arsenal are 1 or 2 players short of being invinceable again IMO and this is down to Wengers policy. But if Eduardo didnt get that injury plus Rosicky was fit then I think they would have won the double. They also missed Sagna at LB last night as Senderos is a weak link. Next year they will be 1 year more experienced and if they get 1 or 2 more cover players then they could be unstoppable. I hope Chelsea absolutely stuff Liverpool. The difference is Chelsea can shut up shop easily which Arsenal dont do. Chelsea will want revenge for previous seasons and I think they will get it. Man Utd v Chelsea will be an awesome final and again as Craig says a lot more even. Man Utd could rip Liverpool apart the way they are playing. I hope Schalke wins it though :fish:

Aside the point but C'mon West Ham!! 0-0 at half time with Portsmouth but they have had most of the chances.
-
Yip, but i just think we needed a goal at Ibrox in this tie
-
I hope your right Ian but I have a bad feeling about it. My head is saying Sporting 1-0 but my heart says 1-1

Was watching a video of that today. Anyway, Arsenals goal was sublime football. Liverpool just couldnt cope with 100mph passing and moving. Arsenal scored too early if you like! Hopefully Wenger shakes them up again and they come out in the 2nd half with the same play as the first and i fully expect them to score again and go through. C'mon the Goons

Maybe its the style of our play that has to do with it also?? But in saying that hutton still managed to get forward very well. Also, if we have 3 central midfielders then there is no better chance for a wing back to get forward. As you say he may come good though. I was surprised to see him start there against D Utd but i think id rather see him there than Burke who just gets blown off the ball. The times ive been impressed with Whittaker has been at Left Back of all places but Papac has done even better. Its refreshing that we have that with S Smith also still to come back. The LB position was one we were all worried about not so long ago. However overall he should be a very decent squad player if he isnt starting at RB.
