  1. Yeah thats a good shout with the possibilities of Naismith for McCulloch and Cousin for Darcheville.
  2. Good stuff Fraser but disagree with your first line - I wouldnt say every Gers player wearing the jersey did themselves proud. Kirk Broadfoot was a nightmare.
  3. Weir may have even sat out the St Johnstone game anyway for a rest!! With Dailly, Papac and Broadfoot all capable of slotting in then it give Weir a rest for the Fiorentina game.
  4. Id say it was worth the risk as if he leaves it its a definate goal, if he stops it there is still the chance that the penalty gets saved or missed - which is what happens. Agree with Johnny, its instant reaction at times and nothing can be done.
  5. This is my point about Ferguson, he continually plays in us hoping he will pull something out of the bag but only does maybe once every 5 or 6 games - not good enough for me! It merits having a seat on the bench and then coming on to make an impact later in the game.
  6. McGregor, Cuellar and Thomson will be missed a lot. But we have options. Im happy enough with Dailly slotting into the back 4 or even Papac into the middle along side Weir to allow S Smith at LB. In midfield, Hemdani and Novo must come in whatever and Id look at Naismith for McCulloch. We saw last night in the 2nd half that we started to play a bit more in their half we looked a better side - so more of the same in the next game. Upfront id consider Cousin aswell next Sunday.
  7. No doubt about it at all - Novo. He changed the way the game was going and showed us again he should be starting every game right now. His attack minded play pushes the opposition back whereas when we have Whittaker it more invites the opposition to play further forward. McGregor would be 2nd.
  8. Tough one to take due to it being in injury time but we could afford to lose one of the OF games, now we have to make sure we dont lose next Sunday. I think Cuellar did the correct thing, we would have got away with it if we held onto the draw and would be saying well done Carlos. He is going to be a huge miss in the next game though. Walter got it very much wrong in the first half. We shouldnt have to play 2 left backs to worry about McGeady - he isnt that good that we take away a midfield position - and thats what effected us. It allowed their midfield 3 on the ball and let them come at us. As soon as Novo came on they HAD to be more aware defensively. This is just a wee slip up, we had to lose a game sometime, but its harder to take after McGregor saving the pen and this being last minute. But, we go there again in 10 days time and Walter will have to get it right again as if we lose for a 2nd time then the real pressure is on. IMO he got it wrong to start with last night but the good thing is he noticed it and changed it at half time - 2nd half we were much better. Novo proves again he HAS to be a starter. Why did Hemdani not even make the bench? He would have slotted in perfect last night instead of Ferguson who was nowhere.
  9. And Beasley will be back soon aswell
  10. Partick loyal, and i thought you were looking for a safe passage
  11. Read this on sky news earlier. Why dont they take the brand overseas? Running costs would be far less and SE Asia for one area would be a huge hit for JJB. Ive yet to see a Rangers top for sale in Singapore yet there is quite a number of fans here. Its not just Rangers items, if the british brand of running shoes etc was on sale here it would go like hot cakes. For eg I cant find Reebok classics over here so always buy a pair when Im at home.
  12. Gow surely must be in with a shout for a game on the left now??
  13. 3rd min 72nd seen as the rest has been taken
  14. I thought you were sorted out with Harley Boy?? What about supporters bus from Grapes Bar?? I know they might be full but they provided me with the odd ticket in the past and they used to give us a run in their bus for a few miles until things were safe in Aberdeen even though I had to stand at the front. Give them a call and tell them your concerns. Other than that just dont wear colours.

I think Carlos will be with us next season if its his decision!! Arent we forgetting something here - Hutton wanted to stay longer also! Carlos may be sold by Murray!!

    Predictions

Can Smith with a 5th game in a row against them?? Id like to think so but im currently edging towards a draw and that wouldnt be a bad result for us. 2-2 JCD and Davis But i really want to say 1-2 JCD and Davis
  17. Boyd - Man City, havent heard that one, only Brum for him. But it wouldnt surprise me to hear a swap deal involving Vassell here, im sure we've been linked with him before. Heard rumours about the other 2 but thats all they will be, i really cant see them leaving.
  18. That means i wont even get radio coverage coz the BBC are swines who dont put anything out overseas. But doesnt the BBC have that commentator Paul Mitchell? He is the most depressing commentator on the planet. Id rather listen to Ian Crocker and Scott Booth in my sleep than him.
  19. Carlos is the top man. McGregor and Weir are next up, plus Papac has been a big asset this season. Also Alan Hutton's performances in the first half of the season were outstanding.
  20. Agreed about St Johnstone Cammy, they are going to make it a tough awkward game, but the open Hampden pitch is to our advantage. Also agree about the OF games - 2 draws or 1 win & 1 other result will put us in great shape for the title. The UEFA semi is amazing. If someone said that you us at 8 months ago we would have maybe bitten there hand off, but now that we are there Im getting a bit greedy and want to progress again - plus I dont see any reason to suggest we cant.
  21. I cant see Rino coming back until he has done a 2 year stint in either Spain, Germany or England. If he does go to England I hope Wenger bites the bullet and takes him there. I mentioned this in the Arsenal thread the other day. Man Utd like him but they have enough midfielders. But how good would it be if we did manage to persuade him though!! Agree with Pete - Thomson, Rino and Daivs would appeal to me. But Hemdani would be the one to make way but with Rino already being a tough tackler, Hemdani's class next to him would also be a superb partnership. As for Lovenkrands, we should never have let him go in the first place, but then again he was being greedy with wages. Lovenkrands record in big games is tremendous and is a far better option than Adam at LM. But PL also played well behind a striker, so id welcome him back.

No brainer!! Should be the first of a personal treble for him! Hopefully helps him want to stay longer aswell. Well done WS aswell. Craig Levein and Mark McGhee have had great seasons but WS has taken us to another level so had to win it. Best away stadium - Tynecastle - Where has that one came from :fish:
  23. Thats it all over now, its Man Utds title. Chelsea HAD to beat Wigan. Crazy result.

    Boyd Today

It wouldnt surprise me to see one of Healy or K Miller signing in the summer. Both similar players who WS seems to like.
  25. They could always not turn up for the last OF game and allow 60,000 Rangers fans in the ground
