Thats what i mean, if Boyd is going to stay then he has to be a poacher only but we need to get him much better service and thats means signing much better players.

I think your releasing far too much players there mate. We dont want to totally overhaul the team and start from scratch again. However the funny thing is I do agree with most of your releases but we probably cant risk doing them all. You've also left Novo out. For me: ________________________McGregor/Alexander___________________ Whittaker/Lowing__Cuellar/New/Broadfoot/Weir/Webster/Papac__Smith/Papac Novo/New______Davis/New/New____Thomson/Furman______Beasley/McCull _______________JCD/Boyd/Novo/Sebo/Milller?/Cousin?/New_________ Obviously Naismith aswell but he wont feature next season. Id give Weir another year and put him on the coaching staff Id like to get a few million for Ferguson and spend it on some quality.

Of course Im serious mate. You can have all the heart in the world like Barry Ferguson but if you dont have that cutting edge to change a game then the team is lacking something. I dont care if Buffel or Gow dont do much tracking back for 60 mins (thats what the defensive midfielder does and in the SPL 1 of them is enough), but if they can provide a few defence splitting passes and skip past a few men to set up others id be happy with that. Agree with you on the youngsters though. I think Fleck and Lennon should have been seen more this season.

For me Boyd is better in a 3-5-2 and we arent going to play that. He needs to play upfront with someone but if its a 4-4-2 we need class players in the centre midfield like McCall and Gascoigne days when we could get away with a strong striker and a poacher.

Depends what happens with Boyd and Cousin TBH. If they both stay (highly unlikely with Cousin) then we would have those 2, Darch, Novo, Miller (if he signs), McCulloch and Naismith when he is fit so it wouldnt be top priority. Plus we may take Sebo back. Id actually like to see us take Sebo back and give him a chance and spend the money on a big strong midfielder and a creatove midfielder.

No probs mate. I was also looking at this from the fact that Ibroxian is a West Ham fan and our main rivals at the moment are probably Chelsea. So for him its a bit like us seeing Celtic lose out. Also, Calscot is pretty much spot on aswell, Sir Awex wanted us to win the quadriple. I wanted Sir Awex to win the CL because I like him and think he is the best manager in my lifetime if not of all time.

Who should be in and out? Overall we have had a good season and missed out with some bad luck of fixtures and a few bad games at the end. So should that mean a huge clear out? I dont think so. I would get rid of a few but not too much. For me our TOP targets this summer should be: A centre half to partner Cuellar, whether thats Webster or not who knows. 2 creative midfielders

My first question would be why was Buffel or Gow not involved. They could have made the difference!!!

Once again, I dont think its a bad signing. Lets judge him on the pitch. I think WS can get something out of him compared to his last spell. I always like Miller when he plays for Scotland.

End of the day its been a good comeback season from us after being dire for 2-3 years. Now we are back challenging again and were 2 wins away from a treble and 3 away from a quadriple. Its a fine line, if we won that games we'd be praising the negative football just like before the UEFA final, now all of a sudden its just shit!! Its the same as Chelsea, they are CL runners up but were so close - thats football. We need to pick ourselves up and win the cup on saturday. The SPL also need to take a look at themselves.
-
Its a maybe for me as he is adecent squad player for average SPL games. But if i had to choose it would be a 'Go'. Plus WS obviously doesnt see him as a starter at all.
-
I dont think Ibroxian is being bitter at all Jon. I laughed my ass off when Beckham slipped for his pens a few years back. I dont like John Terry much and thought it was quite good to see someone who gets paid 120k a week to play football slip like that.

They wont flash it up on the screen, the only possiblilty will be from the commentary but that can be muted

Mullins is a box to box midfielder and very underrated. McCartney is the LB we have been linked with from West Ham.

What have you guys got on Setanta? I had Aberdeen v Rangers advertised all week on Goal TV which gets the setanta feed and they have just switched it to the Dundee utd v Celtic game live with the Aberdeen v Rangers game show right after it. Im going to watch the Arabs hopefully do us a favour and not look at our score until I know the first result.

KM doesnt look like he normally does in that picture

McFadden and Forrsell from Birmingham and Hayden Mullins from West Ham to start with. Someone mentioned Harry Kewell - No way! He would get kicked all over the park and would be too scared to play. I think Kewell makes Darren Anderton look like someone who played every week.

Ricky, you wouldnt be banned at all for that post. I agree with you, Smith and McCoist had a great friendly rivalry for years at a time when they were all at there peak, then they went on to join forces for the national team. This forum is open to the odd Celtic fan who wishes to come on and have fine proper debate as long as they abide by forum rules.

Whats happening with Sebo? Is he coming back or being sold off?
-
Anyone got a picture handy of him. Id see he is a dead ringer for an older Alan Hutton! He has the same face almost!

I thought there was going to be a clear out at Milan this summer anyway and he was one to leave! Bayern or Arsenal are the rumoured clubs. Id like to see him go to the Emirates, i think he could be made for the Premier League.

It couldnt be more cruel for Chelsea. It was on a knife edge and could have went either way. It wasnt a classic but it was one of the better finals of recent times - the 90 mins was good. I kind of wanted Chelsea to win it but I also knew Terry was going to miss. It didnt matter who won though they both have annoying players in there team when celebrating. Im happy for Sir Awex and Ryan Giggs though. Giggs is just awesome and deserves more plaudits, while Ferguson now has added that 2nd CL title and is probably now the best manager of all time taking his Aberdeen record into consideration.

Very moving indeed. I have to say carrying a coffin must be one of the toughest and most mental tough moments someone could do. Its still a shock as he had so much to offer to the Scottish Game. He was a likeable guy whenever he was on TV, radio etc. He was what the OF is all about. Did he not once mention something about Andy Goram's name being mentioned on his tombstone??
