Should be a good game and these 2 deserve to be in the final ahead of Palace and Watford. Im hoping for Bristol City to go up but it doesnt really bother me. I just dont like Dean Windass and he still plays for Hull.

I wonder if the SPL / SFA would have kept Thursdays fixtures the same or if the cup final would have been moved back had Aberdeen been playing us today at Hampden. My guess is they would have spaced the games out.

Thats the way I see it. I actually think Carlos would like to stay so all bids should be rejected. Interesting to read Cammys post on the other thread about McGregor leaving - that would be a massive loss. He is the most improved player this season and has came on almost as much as Hutton did. Id maybe go as far to say if McGregor didnt get injured we would have won the league. If Mcgregor did leave then id be hoping for us to sign a top keeper if we could find one.

Nope, i just really cant see us losing this game no matter how tired the players are. There is such a fine line between success and none success and we couldnt have been closer this season. Had we won the treble or the quadriple then we would be praising WS to the heavens. The other week we were talking about him being knighted FFS now people want him out the door. Yes he takes part of the blame for trying to rely on certain players too much but he has made huge progression on the team this season. If we make the same percentage of progression next season then we will be the champions. I hope he makes some changes to the team today and attack this lower league side - Im going for 4-0 but only if the players dont just show up thinking thats all they have to do.

With Cousin its stupidity and I actually think he wanted to get sent off. To come back and do the same thing against Dundee Utd shows how stupid he was. I wouldnt cheer Novo's actions either (not just coz Stuart Duff is a old school mate of mine) but you cant go around doing those things when we are chasing games.

Agreed, I said back in Feb that WS needs to rotate more to avoid the possibility of burn out. The likes of Ferguson should have been rested much more but people asked why should we change a winning side - now we know why. And agreed, this season has not been a success, but it has been a huge improvement on the last 2 and great progression.

The footballing bodies really need to sit down and look at the calender and fairness. Im not against the players being brought back in July, footballers along with teachers have an incredible amount of time off compared to the average job.

Not for me, i said at the start of the season we had to get the Scottish cup back aswell. We hadnt won this since 2003 which is too long. The league cup is a bit of a joke now and should be moved back to August to October. Plus we should push for another UEFA cup place for this cup again.

Plus Hearts are 25 million in debt. Motherwell are a well run club. I would like to see a 3rd club start getting involved in the top end of the league again and Hearts have always been the best equipped team to do that in the last 10 years.

Agreed, he should have been put in the reserves after the UEFA semi, but then to do it again he should have been fined and sacked. I cant work out this football contracts where they cant be sacked but managers can. If I headbutted someone in my office id get sacked.

I agree with most of your points but Celtic winning the title fair and square - not sure!! They didnt have to cram so many games into such a short period, if they did I dont think they would have got as much points, same as if our games were spaced out we would have probabaly won 2 more recent games. Also - They should have drew with Aberdeen - unfair decision IMO.

I think your releasing far too much players there mate. We dont want to totally overhaul the team and start from scratch again. However the funny thing is I do agree with most of your releases but we probably cant risk doing them all. You've also left Novo out. Id give Weir another year and put him on the coaching staff Id like to get a few million for Ferguson and spend it on some quality.

Of course Im serious mate. You can have all the heart in the world like Barry Ferguson but if you dont have that cutting edge to change a game then the team is lacking something. I dont care if Buffel or Gow dont do much tracking back for 60 mins (thats what the defensive midfielder does and in the SPL 1 of them is enough), but if they can provide a few defence splitting passes and skip past a few men to set up others id be happy with that. Agree with you on the youngsters though. I think Fleck and Lennon should have been seen more this season.

For me Boyd is better in a 3-5-2 and we arent going to play that. He needs to play upfront with someone but if its a 4-4-2 we need class players in the centre midfield like McCall and Gascoigne days when we could get away with a strong striker and a poacher.

Depends what happens with Boyd and Cousin TBH. If they both stay (highly unlikely with Cousin) then we would have those 2, Darch, Novo, Miller (if he signs), McCulloch and Naismith when he is fit so it wouldnt be top priority. Plus we may take Sebo back. Id actually like to see us take Sebo back and give him a chance and spend the money on a big strong midfielder and a creatove midfielder.

No probs mate. I was also looking at this from the fact that Ibroxian is a West Ham fan and our main rivals at the moment are probably Chelsea. So for him its a bit like us seeing Celtic lose out. Also, Calscot is pretty much spot on aswell, Sir Awex wanted us to win the quadriple. I wanted Sir Awex to win the CL because I like him and think he is the best manager in my lifetime if not of all time.
