  1. I hope so lads, Id like to see Fulham stay up out of that 3. I also preferred Bolton to stay up and they got out of it albeit it they could still go down if Chelsea humped them 10-0 but thats not happening. Derby v Reading is a tough one to call. Both are poor but I think Derby will really be up for it. Ive just got that feeling McLeish's luck will kick in and Brum will stay up with a win and the other 2 drawing.
  2. Im already avoiding Manchester Good stuff on the tickets - Im very jealous of anyone going to the game but I decided i wasnt prepared to fork out a few grand getting there - Im just happy I will see it on TV. BTW, I used to live near Aylesbury.
  3. Things to be decided at the top: Chelsea v Bolton, 15:00 Wigan v Man Utd, 15:00 Steve Bruce has came out and said Wigan will give 100%. Before Bruce took over Wigan had never got anything from the top 4 teams in the top flight. Now they have drawn with Liverpool and Chelsea away and Arsenal at home...can they make it a 4th with Man Utd??? IMO Man Utd will win to give them the title but it wont be easy. Chelsea will also beat Bolton. Things to be decided at the bottom: Birmingham v Blackburn, 15:00 Derby v Reading, 15:00 Portsmouth v Fulham, 15:00 This can go absolutely anyway bt Ive actually a sneaky feeling Birmingham will stay up. I think they will beat Blackburn at home. Reading are as bad as Derby at the moment and Derby will want to drag another club down with them rather than allowing Reading away from there ground gloating about staying up - I think Derby will at least get a draw sending Reading down. Portsmouth have to stop a rot going into the cup final and are playing for final places. Fulham have done amazing to get out of the relegation zone but winning at Portsmouth will be a big ask. 5th place to be decided: Everton v Newcastle, 15:00 West Ham v Aston Villa, 15:00 Everton just need a point. Villa shockingly lost at home to Wigan last weekend all but ending there hopes. I think Everton will at least get a draw in what also could be Keegans last match in charge of Newcastle (wouldnt surprise me at all) and Villa will beat a poor West Ham team at the moment. Playing for pride: Middlesbrough v Man City, 15:00 Sunderland v Arsenal, 15:00 Tottenham v Liverpool, 15:00 Sven's last match in charge of Man City is a crazy decision. I can see a draw there. Arsenal should win at Sunderland and Spurs v Liverpool is banker draw of the day. Should be a good day with plenty twists. I actually hope Fulham stay up and I wouldnt be upset if Chelsea nicked the title!!! Ive got 8 live matches on so fook knows what il be watching.
  4. Fookin hell, what a silly silly tosser! The clown could have have made a fortune aswell
  5. I thought it was 6 foot two Its also nice to see good Rangers words at the end of a song - Rangers Centre Half. If only that could be done in most songs then we may even get our trademark Hullo Hullo back.!! But I still think we'll have Carlos next season, he is level headed and knows that he will win things with us and play in europe every season. The longer he goes unnotcied by Spain is Rangers gain.
  6. Have to agree Craig on both points. Thats 2 clubs he has had an attitude problem at, if he doesnt sort himself out he will get a kick up the backside when he least expects it. He does need to mature a bit but is still a talent, he just hasnt done it for them this season.
  7. Barca assistant and former player Guadiola is getting the job. Strange one, i thought they would go for a top name.
  8. Jose seems favourite to take over at Inter Milan
  9. Yep fully agree Calscot, especially on Boyd. Against Hibs last Sunday I was actually shouting for him to get on as he looked fresh but last night reminded why Im one of his critics, he is just not a 'footballer' at all. He cant offer anything to his team mates when he gets the ball at his feet. I also think the strikers are a little off form but they arent getting service at all from midfield. K Thomson does all the dirty work but isnt a creator and Ferguson has been off the boil for weeks. He got a much needed goal last night and Im hoping thats his spur to get us over the finishing lines. S Davis isnt giving us those good runs and passes that he did in his first 5 matches. I think when certain individuals are tired it makes others struggle aswell. But its still a results business at this stage and if we win all our remaining games 1-0 in the same fashion as last night then il be happy as we'll be the champions.
  10. Yip Carlos for me. Ferguson was a different player once he scored, a goal is exactly what he needed.
  11. Agreed Wij, 18 teams would be the best set up for me. Ok for the first few seasons we may to visit some shitty grounds but giving time these clubs would get bigger and long term they would be able to upgrade. But if you take Clyde, St Johnstone, Dunfermline, Partick, Livingston and Dundee and add them to the SPL then we have 18 clubs all with decent enough stadia. Whats also laughable is the other clubs challenging for 3rd place this season. One minute they want us to do well and perform at our best then the next they want us to fail. For eg, we did Aberdeen (and DUFC & Hibs) a big favour last night by beating Motherwell and they expect us to do the same on Saturday by beating Dundee Utd while they can beat Motherwell and go level on points with them in the fight for 3rd place. Yet they would gladly like us to postpone the UTD game so we are more at full strength when it comes to the last game against them they will want us so be running on empty. :moon: To the lot of them.
  12. Yip he was certainly passionate about the 4 minutes, I have to say I wondered where the ref got that from aswell. Ally was class all night when the cameras showed him, booting the ball before it was out must have been a natural instinct
  13. Yip thought that on the TV aswell. 2 reasons for me - 1) The togetherness due to the schedule and 2) I think a nice summery evening had something to with it. Surely its a shout for moving football to the summer - isnt it much better going to a game on a nice evening with a T-shirt on rather than freezing your balls off in the winter??
  14. Chick Young is spot on on this matter also:
  15. Good to see McGeady not getting this from the writers. And well done to McFadden , his Scotland displays warrrant that.
  16. Well said Dod He's hit the nail on the head by saying we're being punished for success
  17. Gribz

    Uefa allocation

YOu didnt get 2 by any chance and therefore fancy selling me one???
  18. Its about time he was in the squad. but most improved player this season for me is McGregor.
  19. Calscot, I totally agree with your post bar the opening line - Id Celtic were the biggest influence on the SPL rather than culprit. Yes they are culprit in there own way but at the end of the day it was the SPL's decision and they were to weak due to the influence of Celtic and Co.
  20. Absolutely!! Yet you know fine these hypocrits will be there in numbers with free tickets somehow!!
  21. Here was my original post on the matter for those who are interested and didnt read it. You would really think the SPL / SFA wanted to kick on and drive the nation's game forward with these opportunities and not shoot themselves in the foot.
  22. About a month ago I wrote a good article (if i dont say so myself) about how the need for the Scottish game to be revamped and how it would benefit as a whole. Some things included were: Restructure of the league format (number of leagues / poss regional) Increased number of top flight teams meaning a few more free weekends Summer Football League Cup played Aug - Octo Etc I also stated that the country had taken a huge stand still in the game with not all of it being our own fault due to TV money in the bigger countries but with the countries top 2 teams doing a very decent job in European competitions in the last few years and the national team punching above our weight you'd expect this to be a spur in the right direction. But how on earth are we supposed to go forward when we have imcompetent people running the top flight game. Rangers chairmen SDM was perfectly correct in saying there latest decision to not assist a club of there's in a bid for European success as laughable. The SPL are already being laughed all over the place for the current league structure which see's a split in the league for the last 5 games of the season meaning some teams end up with a huge disadvantage of having 1 more away game than others who receive 1 additional home game. The most recent example of this is in this current season which see's Hibs and Dundee Utd going for a european place yet Hibs have had to make a 3rd trip to Tannadice this season while Dundee Utd have only had to go to Easter Rd once. It can work out with some teams getting 17 home games and 19 away games and vice versa - Its nothing short of a farce that those incompetent clowns continue with. Next up one of the SPL's own see's themselves in a European final. Their Russian opponents have had all forthcoming games postponed in order to allow their team to prepare for the final - the biggest game in that clubs recent history. Yet what do the SPL do - pile misery onto Rangers and make things hugely difficult just so they dont upset a handful of fans, laughable media reporters, supposed football directors, players and managers from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and the East of Glasgow to name a few places. Yet at the same time there has been good luck wishes from all these places. The SPL never fail to baffle us with crazy decisions, decisions which is holding a national game back because those who sit at the top of the organisation have self interest at heart instead of the good of the game. They prefer to drive about in flash cars with flash salaries and help themselves to tickets for any game they want rather than set out an agenda to raise the profile of the SPL. Karma does exsist and it wont be long before it somes round and bites - I just pray it is with 4 fat trophies sitting gleaming in the Ibrox trophy room in 19 days time!!!
  23. Great read Cammy, and spot on about the SPL, id love us to not show up to any celebration and then refuse Away tickets next season. They really need to be brought back down to earth.
  24. Levein seems a straight up genuine guy so whether it was his decision or above him we dont know. Yes he is chasing a UEFA place but I still think his comments were probably genuine as he would like to help us out. Whether he plays us on Saturday or in 10 days time wont make a different, we are still going to be tired.
  25. For me Beasley gives is something different and I hope he is fully fit soon for the run in. Yes he is a bit light weight but with a trio of central midfielders it allows him on one side and Novo on the other to break defenses down. Id like to see him back asap.
