Total mistake letting him go, I think 99% of the fans would have wanted him to stay on. Some feared for an injury meaning the club would miss out on the fee but screw that. If Hutton had stayed and McGregor not got injured Im convinced we'd be celebrating at least the treble.

And that was the day after i told you, but I said to use your other foot - fair play to you Juff for switching
-
Where have you been then? Thats been on here a good few times. I never tire of watching it though, certainly would be in my top 5 favourite goals of all time, you dont get much better than that.
-
Im gonna stick with my impressive team for the first round: Alexandre Ricardo Rudi Skacel Ricardo Carvalho Carles Puyol Johan Djourou Freddie Ljungberg Michael Ballack Cristiano Ronaldo Thierry Henry Adrian Mutu Jan Koller
-
This could get interesting! Sir Awex has made his way over to Austria to see him. I wonder if he will make him sit in the stands
-
Cheers for that! Do you know how tempted I was to delete your post!!! It would be interesting to see who wins if we all kept the same team. I cant see me going on every day to make 3 changes
-
Ok, so who will qualify from this group?: France Holland Italy Romania Im going to stick my neck out and say Holland and Romania
-
Im looking forward to it bar the shity kick off times for me. But there are some cracking group games for once no more so than Italy, France and Holland. Im just about to have a look at the odds and decide my bet. Im tempted with Russia each way at 28/1.

Agreed, he was better on the left for me aswell. He seemed to play n the right more for Denmark. But his role was simply to play where he wanted, right left or middle. Even when he started making his runs from the centre circle he would still be awesome.

I totally agree with the first paragraph and agree with the last also that Id rather the 2 million went on a better player even if it meant spending 5 million on that player who break down a defence. But as for his ability I still dont think its the worst signing. WS got the best out of him for Scotland and is likely to do the same here. He isnt a world beater and I can think of far more players which would be better but I can think of a lot worse aswell. He will certainly get the benefit of the doubt from me until I see him play a good few games. I just hope he doesnt get booed.

Cannavaro out of the whole tournament and I put had him in my team

And it looks like the Thai bloke is a bit like Mad Vlad by choosing the signings. Ok every manager would want Ronaldinho when he is on fire but the Thai bloke wants to sign JO aswell. http://msnsport.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12040_3652448,00.html

I think you have got pretty much every player spot on Frankie, there wasnt really one I could argue against. Maybe Adam could be in the same boat as Burke but thats about it. We certainly do need better options in midfield and upfront. And next season will be a big one for Barry Ferguson. Im pretty sure one of Kris Boyds MOTM would have been against Aberdeen for the 3-0 win at ibrox. BTW no report on Faye??

Im quite surprised that Hughes has went there as he may have went to Old Trafford after Sir Awex - he may still yet!! He obviously didnt want to touch Newcastle but seems Man City as a different prospect. It will be interesting to see how he does and if he does well, will Man Utd want him in 3 years!
-
He didnt deserve to be sacked - Im not questioning that, but discussing secret terms while still under Man Citys employment regardless of his situation is still dishonest IMO, id have waited until I was offcially sacked, but maybe im too honest. To think he has received about 8 million in payoffs alone in the last 2 years is unbelieveable, plus huge wages on top of that! AND he was still being paid by England while he was out of work in 2006.
-
Obviously he has been clever about this one aswell. He has obviously has pre-contract talk with Mexico before he was officially sacked, therefore he waited until he was sacked to receive the pay off from Man City as if he took the Mexico job a few days ago he wouldnt have got a penny. Rich, clever and greedy cunt

Thats a cracking record at Stenhousemuir :fish:

Welcome to the boards mate, as Jon said if you need anything then ask Jon TBH Im looking forward to Euro 08, i enjoy that more than the world cup with the exception of not seeing Argentina who were awesome last world cup. But last saturday I was ready to get the Sky sports card up on the internet. A wee break will do us all good to get us ready for next season.
-
He is a natural midfielder. When he first went to Liverpool he player midfield for first few seasons before moving to LB :moon: But Craig is right, Ferguson would want the central domination again and Thomson would shift over one place.
-
Yeah he didnt hang about!! He must prefer the international jobs to get more time off. And Im sure the thought of mexican ladies convinced him

Coming from Aberdeen Id obviously like to see Cove Rangers get in. If Dundee can have 2 teams then so could Aberdeen. Id love to see a rivalry there. But Cove are no way near big enough yet.
-
Id have been happy to let Sebo stay and try again ahead of Miller. Sebo and Boyd upfront may have worked as Sebo would have done all his running. However I still think for 1.2 million Millers wouldnt be the worst buy in the world, I just dont see the point in selling Sebo and paying 1.9 for Miller. - As Juff says really. I think Miller is a decent player but would rather that money spent on a creative midfielder first. Another thing about Miller - its the fact of who he is that is putting so many people down.

Inside left midfield would be perfect. __________Ferguson______Thomson________Riise______________ ____Novo_________________Boyd________________Beasley_____

I'll have a good read of that tomorrow morning with my coffee before departing for the aeroporto
