I agree with you, Smith and McCoist had a great friendly rivalry for years at a time when they were all at there peak, then they went on to join forces for the national team. It couldnt be more cruel for Chelsea. It was on a knife edge and could have went either way. It wasnt a classic but it was one of the better finals of recent times - the 90 mins was good. I kind of wanted Chelsea to win it but I also knew Terry was going to miss. It didnt matter who won though they both have annoying players in there team when celebrating. Im happy for Sir Awex and Ryan Giggs though. Giggs is just awesome and deserves more plaudits, while Ferguson now has added that 2nd CL title and is probably now the best manager of all time taking his Aberdeen record into consideration.

I think Im going to be a 1 man team here but I dont care. I honestly am not against Kenny Miller signing this summer. Im not all for it either, he is far from my first choice - but if we got him at the right price then id take him. If WS is going to continue with the 4-5-1 then Miller is a better option than Boyd and Darcheville. (JCD has played 1 x 90 match for us.) Also WS knows how to get the best out of Miller and he always does well in that role for Scotland. So if he comes I hope he is judged on what he does on the pitch. There will be a number of people against signing him just because he played for Celtic and did that badge thing - I dont give a monkeys about that. Im sure if it was reversed and he signed for us after Celtic and scored against them he would have done the same thing. This wont fill much people with enthusisim but i can see our forward line next season being Miller and Healy. I hope Darch loses some muscle as if he can play 90 mins every week he would be a big player for us.

PS, i just wonder if Allan McGregor had stayed fit whether it would be the difference in winning the league. A few have said he would have stopped 1 of the Celtic goals and the defence was so comfortable with him. Its not a punt at Alexander who has came in and did well but McGregor has been superb this season and is by far the most improved player. If it wasnt for Carlos then he would have been my POTY.

12 months, thats the whole of next season. So we have to go and get another striker as Cousin and Boyd are likely to leave. As Gav says im not bothered about Burke being out for 6 months. Im quite confused how this works. Roman owns Chelsea correct? Well if Chelsea has to pay the money back to Roman then wont the money come from the owner - Roman?? We knew before the Hibs game we could afford 1 slip up but we went out and slipped up twice. The Motherwell game was the bad one for me because we were leading in this game. but to be 4 goals behind is hard to take. If was even 1 or 2 then id be hopeful.

I would hate to think the death of anyone would be used to an advantage. Could Celtic really stump so low? It has to be said Burns did much more for Celtic than O Donnell. What was the time gap again between when O Donnell died and Celtics next game? It seems some Rangers fans have more respect for late former players of our rivals than Celtic.

Michael Owen is on 110k a week basic yet barely kicks a ball. Even Newcastle are trying to get his wages down to 60k a week. But Man Utd look like they are coming in with a 7 million bid for him. But i bet Man U dont offer him near 100k a week. Owen is also overrated and has lost 2 yards of pace.

They have Mikel who is getting better and expected to be Makelele long term replacement.

Calscot is correct, its not the 4-5-1 that cost us its WS selections in the 4-5-1. This formation has to be played so its is 4-3-3 on attack which means 3 of the midfielders should be attack minded. We havent had that in Whittaker, Ferguson and Davis when he plays RM. To answer the question, yes we did blow it.
