I knew the Lennon appointment was a masterstroke. Its not just the finances this helps close gaps, if they end up playing Thursday / Sunday also then it helps with our chances of the league. Playing Saturday is a bonus.

Probably a game both could do without. But the winners of the worst CL final ever against the winners of the worst Europa Cup final ever. Both games were appalling. The pressure on Frank Lampard already after the 4-0 defeat.
-
Yes I'll give you that. Was the surprise of the day. I had them as a banker to drop down.
-
Its going to ruin games and I can see it being scrapped eventually. Should just be kept for goal line decisions. The West Ham v Man City game was a joke, Andy Gray torn it apart straight after the game and showed how one goal should have stood and another ruled out.
-
Watched this earlier. Total humble guy and was a brilliant LB, one of my favourite players. He should have got at least 50 International caps. Used to link up brilliant with Laudrup.

A wee bit earlier but so Gav can see and have his punt. Week one and its good to be back, looking forward to the games. (Good luck Scott). Liverpool 2-0 Norwich West Ham 1-1 Man City Bournemouth 2-0 Sheff Utd Burnley 1-2 Southampton Crystal Palace 1-1 Everton Watford 2-0 Brighton Tottenham 4-1 Aston Villa Leicester 3-2 Wolves Newcastle 1-3 Arsenal Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea

Nope mate, In the real sun now, practically feels like Im at the actual sun - Dubai. Hope the family is doing well. Get your tips into the Premier League thread. We have a wee score prediction every week.

I dont think Phillip Cocu would have known much about this one which could make it interesting. If this was just a playing role then Id see the point but the coaching role means there is more to it which I dont think Cocu knows.
-
Good player first time around but he was on the treatment table a lot and the club backed him. Wrong move to bring him back for a second spell. He isnt all there in the head sometimes.
-
Easy top 6 to start with and Id say winnable. Yet being realistic and throwing us in to a 46 game marathon with tough away trips it wouldnt be a walk in the park.
-
Harry Maguire confirmed for 80m to Man Utd. I dont rate him that much, I think he is half decent but not a world record defender. Gary Cahill goes to Crystal Palace on a free - decent signing for them.
-
Thats a poor midfield Gav. ? How you doing Pal?

Loved Walters, my first real Winger for Rangers as I was too young to really see Cooper. He should have got more England caps. Ooh ah Huistra was after him as a winger.

Thanks Frankie. The last thing I wanted to do was start a thread that went into being anti Gerrard, I think the word "assessing" is fair. It was maybe a knee jerk reaction and old school thought from me thinking he should have been up ranting on the touchline - perhaps passion got in the way. I also say perhaps Gerrard believed in his players to react and win it which we did and obviously his winning reaction was the same as all of us.
-
That two lines is exactly why I asked the question Ian.
-
What, assessed Steven Gerrard?
-
Is this a fair thread and question to ask? Sitting down when Killies goal went in the cameras went to Gerrard and he sat down. I'll put that down to disappointment or inexperience. But Walter Smith would have been on the touchline ranting. Did Gerrard trust his player to get the result? Tactics - thats over the course of a season and I said Id prefer 4-5-1 like a 4-2-3-1. Not turning against Gerrard but remember.... Its a fair question??

Ooosh, hard to give then things go wrong. But Goldson. He popped up with the goods. And you could see his delight.
-
Seems Brighton are everyones tip to go down.

Hence 4-2-3-1 would work better IMO. I can see Gerrards Logic in the 4-3-2-1 against good opposition though. At the Killie goal the camera went straight to SG and he sat in his seat, if I was him Id have been up at the touchline belting. -
Now that Ive got reasonable access to games I will be up for joining a cast one week this season Mate if thats ok. I wont go into the Moon Landings or anything LoL.

Switch it 12 months ago. We were the better team and drew. Today a poor performance and won. -

Aribo started too deep for me. Its obvious he has a license to go forward but I think he should start further forward and know he has to go back when needed. Arfield in that role - not sure yet albeit the goal. -

Bosch a Ruud Guilltt Esk header by Goldson to save the day. 3 pts but its on a dodgy pitch and we dont know our best team. Need to get better though. -
