Of course there is a difference between saying there is money to spend and actually spending money. I can see us getting a loan player in then when WS is asked at the end of the transfer window there the new players are it will be the usual excuse of "we couldnt identify the right player so we're not going to buy for the sake of it" Freddie Ljungberg has just been released by West Ham, he would be ideal for the right midfield. He got a huge pay off from the Hammers so wages might not be too high. He started to put in good performances at the end of last season again.

That strip would be much better if it didnt have the V cutting into the blue and red strips across the top. I much prefer round looking necks. I like the home this season so if anyone wants to pick one up for me and sent it across il give you 5 cyber pints

Mid Nov!! We could be in big trouble unless we bring in a midfielder. I just dont see us going on a winning run with the current guys who get a game.

Agree with Cotter, McCulloch will be a key man in WS plans. Im trying to think about where we could get a good few million after not getting into the CL without selling Carlos or Hemdani. McCulloch 2.2 million from Stoke Boyd 2.5 to 3 million from cardiff or Cousin the same fee to cardiff Darcheville 1.5 million from somebody

Anyone who puts Adam, McCulloch or Dailly in the team cant be serious. Notcie with Novo out we have absolutely NOBODY who can play right wing. The Rangers chat on the forum has been very busy this week, I honestly dont think it would have been near as busy had we went through. I just wonder if its easier to criticise the team than to praise them. So this thread is good to get some backing behind the team again. Come Saturday evening I'll be sitting down to watch the game getting behind the team

I dont doubt that he wants success aswell. I dont doubt anyone at Rangers wants anything other than success. But it takes a lot more than desire and hope from the top. Im sure the St Mirren chairman wants success but he has to be realistic about it and so does SDM.

I cant believe we would still be in for another centre half without addressing the midfield first. Its the midfield who flopped the most so its them who should make way first. 27 first team squad, yet WS barely touches some of them.

Yeah the wording was a bit wrong, id only want him to go if there was someone better coming in. But Im going to judge him on the league this season. His lack of midfield is already got the first cross against him and he isnt going to have funds to buy a couple in now. I think he is good enough to win us the league but needs to give up this stubborness of 4-5-1 and the imposters in midfield.

I wouldnt say its the worst ever result. Losing at home to St Johnstone in the cup 2 seasons back was ridiculous. Kaunas are better on there home patch than St Johnstone are away from home. But this is a disaster. As I said last week a few years ago we strolled through this type of game by about 5 goals and to not even be prepared or organised is disgraceful. 1000s upon 1000s of fans would have picked a better more organised XI.

At least you lot have had the chance to sleep on it, I got the result this morning before work not long after the game finished. So ive been up all day with it

I think Souness would install some fire and hunger into the current squad but he wouldnt be a long term fix. I will ignore Billy Davies being favourite. I think id rather Adam stay then Davies as manager. Coisty nowhere near ready. Michael Laudrup would be superb!!!

Whats tragic about this is on the club crest we have the word "Ready". Im afraid we were far from prepared never mind ready for the Kaunas games and thats down to the management.

No we need need a midfield who are capable of creating chances before we pick a striker. So therefore Id rather a runner to try and win us the ball than not. But for me Cousin would be brought back into the team, he is the only one capable of playing this shocking system -

No Eck returning would not be the answer. Dod Burley would get a decent system going but I wouldnt opt for him either. If we were going back to the future then Advocaat would be a good choice but Martin Jol would be my favourite at the moment.
