I think they will roll up the sleeves but we can try as hard as we want our players arent good enough. Adam and Co are no better than Falkirk. Its a tough question. With no money to spend on the midfield we CRAVE then we are buggared for the season. Its criminal we didnt buy a midfielder for these games against Kaunas and its backfired. It looks like we will see Madjid Bougharra (sp) as a midfielder this season. It HAS to be time for the Furmans, Flecks, Lennons of this world to be given a chance. Id be much more confident with them in the team than Adam, Dailly and McCulloch.

Well Walter is in last chance salloon now, if he doesnt get us off to a good start in the league then its going to be tough for him to stay on.

Agree with the comments, Ive been on WS side and said this season is stage 3 but we are already out of europe and I really dont feel confident about the league as he will continue with the likes of Adam and McCulloch who quite frankly couldnt get in the Hibs team at the moment. Only one from above I dont agree with is Boyd - everyone knows I dont rate him for the simple fact that playing in this system would mean he would need to do work and play deep and he cant do that.

TBH I dont see how the Ferguson of last season would have won us that match but he does improve our team ONLY if he is on his game. Its a wake up call that we should never rely on a certain player. Ferguson is another who is going downhill but it isnt helped he doesnt have a set position in the midfield and is pushed up in the final 3rd where he isnt suited.

This is the thing, a lot did see through the football. It was there to see against Queen of the South in the cup final when they outplayed us for parts of the game

Im not at all surprised we went out, its been on the cards since pre season as last seasons form and poor players have continued. And playing Liverpool last saturday!! The only thing I can say is well done SDM for that one as the revenue was badly needed!! Maybe most Gers fans will realise the team is FULL of average run of the mill SPL players. In the current squad only Cuellar, Papac, Hemdani, Ferguson, Novo and Cousin have the ability for a Rangers shirt with the exception of the new players and youngsters like Fleck who need a chance. A comment on a few players: I dont know what McGregor is doing at the moment but id start with Alexander this weekend until AM gets his finger out. Whittaker - 1 solo goal is the only thing he has ever done. Weir - Its sad when we are relying on a 38 yr old at the back. Papac - He's been impressive. Broadfoot - A typical WS signing similar to the likes of Bollan in the 90s. I cringe when I see him in a blue jersey. Webster - We'd be better off taking someone from A&E Dailly - Another who has gone way of the boil and shouldnt be in the team McCulloch - Imposter compared to the player who first signed Adam - He's too easy to criticise but he should be sacked first thing in the morning. Thomson - Everyone on here has raved about him, for me ive never seen much to impress except in a handful of games. Id rather we got Scott Brown TBH Hemdani - WS doesnt rate him which is a shame Novo - I like the wee man and shows the exact attitude the others should. Miller - He is in for a hard season unless he gets off the mark Boyd - Kilmarnock was his level Darcheville - Cant even complete 90 mins but WS plays him

Im going to watch this game with utter interest now to see what exactly team comes out and how they perform. To say the players and management owe it the fans is an understatement.

I hope this is the wake up call for everyone who thinks we are a half decent team and the likes of Adam etc are good enough. We arent much better than the average SPL side.

Albertz is younger than Weir and played pretty much a high level in the last few years - he could EASY have done a job for us as a squad player.

Anyone seen the Scream films?? His face is the double of the mask used by the killer in that!! Seen as there is a thread about him we may as well discuss him. I was wanting McCulloch for a while before he signed and when we got him i thought it was a great signing. He started off pretty well but since the turn of this year he has looked a different player for the worse. He looks unfit and slow. During this summer he was one who has said he will step into BF shoes, well thus far in pre season and in the Kaunas 1st leg he has looked even worse. The big man needs to get his finger out and he could be an important player again.

Give me Laudrup and Albertz as they are now ahead of Adam and McCulloch!!!

Im just frustrated with the lack of midfield signings. But I do agree that the transfer window is open until Aug 31 so nothing has been concluded. However we have known for a long time that we NEED an attacking midfielder seen as Buffel wasnt in the plans, then Ferguson gets injured and there is still no mention of a player bar Davis which has even went quiet this week. We had a chance of Varynen for a decent price along with Lovenkrands and Davis. If we got those 3 Id be very confident that we would be going into tonights match with a bit of a lead. Everyone knows I rated Buffel but I still find it baffling we would let him go rather than pay the fee to Feyenoord - this fee was a 10th of what Fulham want for Davis - that puts it into perspective

Yip agree with that. When players disrespect the officials with foul mouth language then straight reds should be given. I suppose the refs are only doing what they are told/taught but the start/stopping of games and always given decisions the wrong way is at a poor level

Erm...im all for given them a pay rise if they earned it, but last season was the worst ive ever seen from SPL refs.

Maybe 2 big strikers plus Novo to run onto the flick ons maybe the best way to go. We know Nacho has the nack of nicking important goals

I was given it when I was about 9 from a family friend from Glasgow who has lived in Canada for 35 years, so it could actually be from any decade. Ive never wore it. Next time im home il look it out and try find out when its from.
