If Loovens is still a target then i would seem the bad news about Carlos being sold would be true. Again this would be another club decision for the money the same as Hutton as Cuellar come out and said he is happy to stay. I hope Ian is right that WS isnt finished in bringing players in, but my worry is qualifying for the CL and deadlines etc.

Welcome to the club Madjid. Looks a decent defender but as someone said Sheff Wed and Charlton!! This one has certainly sprang out of nowhere. But if he and Carlos are first choice Im baffled as to what Dailly, Webster, Weir, Broadfoot and even Hemdani are doing there. With our squad you'd think the opposition goal was the half way line!! We have nothing in the attacking midfield sense.

I was at the game and IIRC it was pissing down before hand and my bus parked MILES from Ibrox. I had to drink a bottle of Merrydown cider on the way there to keep me warm

2 hours before kick off????!!!! What happens for people coming from a few hours drive away who get delayed in traffic or people who work until 5:30pm...etc etc

As Arnold says a thread on Murray and the other wrong things at RFC could go on all day. But its the small simple issues that should be addressed first like having a port-a-cabin for a ticket office with a support our size - its ridiculous. Ibrox is still a great place to go but it could be done with a few modern touch ups. The Govan, Broomloan and Copland are all 25 years old now and you get the feeling they are that age at times. If we got a new super stadium then great but giving Ibrox a bit of a facelift and rennovated plus ripping out the screens would be fine also.

Preciseley why we needed him on wed night, he would have probably conjoured (sp) something up from nothing in a big game when we needed it. Would you rather Adam, Dailly and McCulloch in that team, no of whom bring any forward edge to the team??

Velicka would have been the obvious choice for me. He impressed in pre season and is way ahead of everyone on fitness and sharpness.

I hope we get Inter Baku. Been there loads of times and as much as a tricky place to go the standard isnt great at all.

I think the fact that they are more flair players and would ten to be further up the park plays against them. WS goes out to not lose a game rather than try to win it.

Thats what ive been saying all summer. Id have been delighted with Davis, Varynen and Lovenkrands as all were afordable and bring excitement to the team. Instead we are so flat with what we have at the moment. Another baffling one last night was Hemdani not playing.

We need midfielders before another centre half. Broadfoot looks like he can play centre half and we have Dailly, Papac and Weir plus even Hemdani once Carlos comes back. Midfielders HAS to be the priority rather than wait for Ferguson to get fit.

Its a song id prefer to have. I also wish we could get Hullo Hullo..back with cutting out the wrong words. Now that WAS a Rangers anthem and showed who were were.

Jonc might just agree with you on that However id have started Miller first. He obviously showed a bit of hunger last night to do well and he could have scored.

Totally agree they should be given a chance. The promising tag should get thrown out the window and if you have potential then show on the top stage. Lets get Lafferty, Fleck and Furman all in that team in place of Dailly, Adam and McCulloch.

I see what Porno is getting at but it still stands to say that no fan should really have a say on the managers signings. But WS shouldnt be so blunt about it.

I dont think he should be punished forever but I dont think he deserves to be rewarded with 50k a week. I agree Newcastle should have taken a stand but the problem is they see him as a business asset and if they sack him then he can join another rival club - sad state of affairs. Footballers who think they are bigger than the law deserved to be brought back down to the real world.

Plymouth (i think) just sacked their keeper for a car accident while he was over the limit. This is the treatment id expect, but it seems Barton is being given a chance due to being a footballer, or Newcastle seem to think they will get something out of it. Footballers dont deserve extra treatment. However Barton has done his time here and has the chance to become a reformed character, shame its on about 50k a week.

Id say WS will shuffle people around to cover the full back positions. I think we'll see Dailly and Broadfoot filling in at RB and Whittaker playing both sides when required as well as Papac at LB. Depending on Webster coming good we will also see a few shuffling round at centre half to partner a fit Carlos. We definatly need 2 centre midfielders plus a right sided midfielder to cover Novo. You'd think losing Burke and Naismith should have raised some alarms here.

Pretty much the team I put down bar Cousin. But I can see this 4-5-1 coming back into things but he may play strikers in midfield.

I still hope we get Davis and Varnynen. But if we do I cant work out what we will do with all the strikers, surely a few have to be offloaded.

Why?? Look at the list on paper, its very impressive. Whether they perform or not is another matter, but would you swap Rangers midfield for this? I would in an instant!!
