  1. 0-0 at half time. Pretty even, Utd had a half shout for a pen with VoH all over Wilkie.
  2. Yip agreed, and those ar mainly central players plus you can add Aaron Niguez into the list. Then you have Novo and Beasley for the wide roles. I actually hope we sell McCulloch for the 2 million reported to Hull or Stoke, he has been very poor this calender year.
  3. An impressive striker?? I heard Boyd was average.
  4. Leeds let me down yesterday losing at home to Oldham!! 3 out of 4 AGAIN West Ham 2-1 Rangers 2-0 Carlisle 4-2 Leeds 0-2
  5. Jammy Liverpool!!! Sunderland will be an improved team this season., but Arsenal will finish above Liverpool. Anyone see Boltons first goal yesterday? If it was meant then it was a screamer but i think it was more of a cross.
  6. Great start by Hamilton and good to see. Dundee Utd need to get off the mark so hopefully they get something today against celtic.
  7. LOL what a joker!!! :fish:
  8. How many midfielders do we need now???? Yet McCulloch still starts today - i hope this was for Hull or Stoke to hurry up and buy him
  9. Its taken 3 mins for Arsenal to show there intention!!! Wha a fucking Goal!! Craigy, you money from Jon is safe
  10. Thanks for that mate - thats awesome!!
  11. Lucky bassa for you lot who are off to the Hertz game today. I miss getting a few beers on the train down then more in Dows bar until the trip to the west side. After this weeks signings im a much happier bear and i expect us to batter Hertz today.
  12. I thinks a wee campaign needs done here!!!! Frankie pal, can you authorise this being a sticky???
  13. Thanks im all about low expectations
  14. Im glad your a satisfied customer mate Now im talking drunken pish
  15. Bold - yip 100% agree. Total shame, we shouldnt stand for this. I also cant ever see it coming back which is not right.
  16. Firstly I refer to this song as Hullo Hullo and not TBB. But can someone clarify the legal stance on this song for being banned for "Rangers fans" only??? What is it that is actually banned - ie. the tune, song or words?? And why do away fans get to chant the tune or change the words but are not even threatened with expulsion of competitions...and at the same time its a song that is perfectly allowed in other stadiums such as Old Trafford. For me, id love to see Hullo Hullo back with the real Rangers words. This tune was an icon of the Rangers support and certainly the best song for the atmosphere at Ibrox. I cant work out why this song gets singled out and banned yet others which are worse and not even rangers related only seem to get warnings at the worst - and thats not to even mention what our green friends on the east side come out with. Sounds like discrimination to me!!!
  17. Wee thread for the gersnet punters in here. Anyone having a flutter today?? I fancy draw treble: Sunderland v Liverpool Southampton v Birmingham Everton v Blackburn
  18. Im not saying 4-5-1 is negative at all but id rather see 2 strikers get a game. With 4-5-1 you take my team but drop probably Lafferty to allow Whittaker to go to RB. But its great to have these options again. Il be realistic and say we wont go 3-5-2 but we certainly have the players to try it now. Is Aaron called Aaron because nobody can spell his other names?? :fish:
  19. I dont want to see just 1 striker with the options we have but having 5 midfielders from your list would over run games. Whittaker dropping out wouldnt be a loss for me, id rather 1 of the new guys get a game in midfield than him. Papac can play in a back 3. So Bougherra Broadfoot and Papac wouldnt be a decent shout. __________________McGregor__________________ ______Broadfoot____Bougherra______Papac_______ __________Mendes_________Thomson____________ ___Novo___________Niguez________Beasley_______ ____________Velicka_______Lafferty______________
  20. Its great to have these selection headaches at last. Bringing in 2 or 3 faces totally changes the face of our options and IF WS decides to play at least 4 REAL midfielders then its exciting times ahead. Although, as Calscot says we cant get carried away with names on paper. I was hoping for Varynen, Davis and Lovenkrands a few days ago but I didnt forsee any of these players, but IM delighted with our purchases. If Edu and Bresciano join then we will be over loaded with midfielders!!! IF these new guys get off to a good start then Barry Ferguson is going to find it tough to get back in the side when fit. But I actually think he will thrive with other real midfielders. He will be fully fit and raring to go after a good break. Id love to see us try 3-5-2 with this squad.
  21. With this weeks signings our squad is getting very big in numbers. The Niguez and Mendes signings are very encouraging and boost our midfield options and could be added with Maurice Edu. There is still a lot of dead wood there which will be difficult to get rid of but if WS can work out our best XI and formation then play attacking football then the league title is looking very promising with this list: (Who says we dont have a midfield ) Keepers: McGregor Alexander Smith Defenders: Whittaker Papac Bougherra Weir Dailly Webster (on loan to Motherwell?) Broadfoot S Smith Midfielders: Ferguson Hemdani Thomson Mendes Niguez Furman McCulloch Beasley Adam Efrem Burke Lennon Gow Forwards: Lafferty Velicka Novo Cousin Darcheville Boyd Miller Naismith Fleck
  22. Its one you have to ask the manager. To be honest its baffling to me because I have no idea how Adam became a favourite. And its been obvious in the past WS prefers more older players - he is probably going for a safe option. But Im happy with this Mendes signing, he brings a great option to the team. I really hope WS throws him straight in this weekend with Niguez and drops those who are on very poor form.
  23. Keep snuggling up there with your hot water bottle and Juffery will let you know if he had a take away next week
  24. Thank fook it starts tomorrow - its easy the best league in the world for entertainment and great coverage of live games so Im looking forward to it. Got 5 live games on tomorrow including Arsenal, West Ham and Liverpool so Im looking forward to seeing these 3 in action. I had a read of Skys preview and as much as people are writing Arsenal of I can see them being right up there going for the title in the first few months. Its when they start to get injuries the question is whether they have the quality in depth - but people would be crazy to write Wenger off. Liverpool are being talked about as potential champions. They do this every season and I can see them slipping back to the usual 4th place although they may be a bit closer this season with Keane. Difficult to predict but: Chelsea Man Utd Arsenal Liverpool --------------- Aston Villa Spurs Portsmouth Everton Man City Newcastle West Ham Sunderland Blackburn Middlesboro Wigan Fulham Bolton West Brom Hull Stoke
  25. I really hope your right. But WS' selections and formations recently have given me ZERO confidence. He sticks with his favourties too much. Id bloody love to see this kid and Mendes play in the same midfield as Thomson and another. Im a huge fan of playing REAL midfielders so I hope so - but i can just see Adam and Co still featuring.
