Would love McFadden. But if we did get him and Bresciano along with this young spaniard then we could field a team of left sided players.
-
I wish my drunken posts were as clear as the above. You lot are making me jealous, i think il go and get tanked tonight.
-
Sounds like a good buy but at 19 he is likely to be playing his football at broadwood then going on loan to Dunfermline. But I hope not and he starts right away in the first team.
-
Really??? :fish: Id like to see Novo and Velicka upfront aswell. But Novo is also my first pick for RM at the moment aswell unless we go to a central 3.
-
No im glad they didnt put a collar on it, hate collars on football shirts. I will prob buy this when im over next month along with the Gers top - 2 shirts without collars.
-
If he could take a wee bit of Darchevilles muscle then we could have a very good consistant player. I like Beasley but you know he wont play a long run of games due to getting injured. Agree with Fraser, id like to see Beasley and Lafferty down the wings with Novo and Velicka upfront. Hemdani and Thomson could sit in the centre and allow those 4 to play.
-
Mate, after seeing the line up recently im very much hoping Furman gets his chance. Why WS persists with Whittaker, Adam and McCulloch ahead of a real central midfielder is beyond me. I also know Hemdani isnt even going to get a look in, so my team has no chance. However maybe if we started to listen to me and play the players i have rated in the past we wouldnt be going backwards so fast eh!!!!!!
-
Adam can do what he likes. Burke can go when fit and if McCulloch doesnt get his act together then he can go. Broadfoot could be a decent back up CENTRAL defender but no more.
-
3 or all from Bresciano, Vayrnen, Davis, Lovenkrands. Then Loovens if we can afford him. Let Dailly, Cousin and Boyd go if we can get cash for them. I like Hemdani but if we got the above midfielders then we could sell him also.
-
If he didnt sign 3 strikers without selling a few first we may have had our midfielders by now. The Loovens rumours are certainly up doing the rounds.
-
Would go along with that Who have you got on RM between beasley and lafferty? Other than the above team id go with: ____________________McGregor___________________ Whittaker______Madjid_______Weir___________Papac ________Furman_____Hemdani_____Thomson________ _______Novo________Velicka_______Lafferty/Beasley_

One thing i disagree about on the article is the last line - the buck stops with Murray. I think it does to a big extent but it stops with Walter on the park. Murray isnt the one playing Whittaker, McCulloch and Adam in midfield and Dailly at the back plus leaving Hemdani out altogether.- this is one of the reasons for our decline in form which put us out of europe. If WS got things right in the first leg against Kaunas then all the talk this week could very well have been about a match against Aalborg tonight. We all know off the park we are a mess and the buck stops with Murray and Bain who run the club but on the park we have been disasterous due to horrendous simple tactics and selections.

Cant say I remember him but i did watch Australia a few times in the WC06. But he surely cant be any worse than our 1 man midfield just now so hopefully we tie this deal up. But we would still need another after that, possibly a loan signing until Ferguson gets fit.
-
We have a little over 2 weeks of the transfer window left and there is STILL no new midfielders at Murray Park. Sometimes WS does his business on the quiet like the signing of Bougherra which came out of the blue - so we have a tiny bit of hope that a deal could be done somewhere but i wont hold my breath until i see a player in a blue shirt. I still think Davis is likely but we still need more than him. I can also see him being played out of position if he does sign. Davis had a few good games for us when playing next to Ferguson but signing Davis alone doesnt fill me with confidence. In that 2 weeks we couldnt face a tougher fixture card. Hearts at Ibrox and Aberdeen and Celtic away. Right now with that team that played at Falkirk i dont fancy us to get anymore than 5 points from that 3 games. With the Cuellar sale, the pressure is now at peak for Murray, Bain and Smith.

Fine post Cammy. I hold no grudge towards Carlos at all and wish him all the best at Villa. I cant work out why anyone would call him a judas for bettering himself and jumping from a sinking ship. I still also believe he would still be a Gers player if we were in the CL. The downsizing shows no sign of slowing down. The standard of player is getting worse every season bar the odd excemption like Cuellar and Hutton who just end up being sold anyway and replaced with SPL standard or OAP's. The gap between the rest of the SPL and Rangers is slowly closing and its only because of our few better players we manage to stay in the top 2. Take McGregor, Cuellar (taken already), Papac, Ferguson and Novo out of the team and replace them with the Whittakers, McCullochs and Adams etc then the fight for 3rd place would be tough. Add that to the fact as poor as other clubs are technically they still have a organised system and right players in the right positions. The Hearts game this weekend will be VERY interesting!!

I know what a couple of ugly mugs!! Cant make my mind up on it, it looks very 70s/80s
-
Blimey! Almost 21k per month!!! And a 100% bonus for what exactly!!!
-
I agree with that aswell. If we were to go out and sign Scott Brown direct from Celtic tomorrow id be happy with it. For me this wouldnt affect the rivalry at all.
-
Id like to know what sort of salary Bain gets anyway for being a Yes man. Frankie, any idea??
-
I think Steve was being sarcastic mate. Giasbeer, fair play to you mate if you said that back in May, i think most fans just wanted to believe he would not be sold and that the CL was the deciding factor. We cant compete with anyone in the Premier League and the gap is going to widen even more, at this rate we wont be competing with the Championship clubs! 16 of the 24 championship clubs have played Premier league football meaning they have all had 30 million in TV money PLUS parachute payments. I think it really is the time for Rangers and Celtic to make a move and push for an Atlantic league with the Dutch, Belgians and maybe Danish leagues.

This season is huge in terms of what we expect. If we dont win the title then a shake up HAS to take place from top to bottom
-
It was a cracking result. Now Dundee Utd have to get their finger out this weekend to get points on the board - Celtic go to Tannadice so hopefully a home win.
-
Was the release value decided, when he originally signed or did he get a new deal at some point with it changing then? If the latter then why was it set at such a low value for the best centre half since Gough?
-
The pressure is really on SDM now to spend. I cant blame Carlos one bit for moving to a top 6 Premier league club on 50k a week and jumping off our sinking ship - good luck to him.
-
I didnt know Christophe Berra was scottish. I cant believe Callum Davidson is back in the squad. Not sure if id have Whittaker near the squad. No Maloney or Hutton? McCullochs form has obviously been picked up on. Not at all sure about Barr, Morrison, Commons or Clarkson. Im glad its only a friendly as if this was a qualifier against the Dutch id be panicking.
