  1. Maybe, but if we had made it into the CL proper do you think there would have been talk of a protest?
  2. I still find the Webster thing bizarre. Id have said if he was fit then he would be the best option to partner Bougherra at the moment. Hopefully he goes to Bristol and plays games without injury (tough ask) and if performing well we recall him.
  3. TBH i was tempted to leave Thomson out of my team aswell and put Davis or Aaron in, but I dont know exactly what il be getting from Aaron. But Thomsons dirty work will be needed in a lot of games and id allow the other 2 central midfielders to get as forward as much as possible. As for Cousin, I was only putting him in the team based on him playing at the top of his game. If not then its 1 from Velicka, Lafferty or Miller for me.

    Full Backs

We definatly need cover. Id say RB was needed first as if Papac gets injured Whittaker can switch to LB or we may even get S Smith in for a few games. But if Whittaker gets injured then our answer will be Broadfoot or Dailly - nightmare!!! Suggestions above would be good buys BTW
  5. I dont have a problem with people posting but if it is neds turning up to just mouth off then that will never be taken seriously and actually does a favour for those who are being protested against. Going out of europe was a nightmare and not buying a midfield until its too late was silly, but at the same time it could be the kick up the backside that was needed to win the league. I remember back in 94/95 when in the space of a week we lost the first OF game, got knocked out of the league cup and knocked out of europe by AEK Athens - we still went onto win the league that season. So bascially IMO i wouldnt have protested until the end of this season if we didnt win the league.
  6. Whilst I think there isnt enough footballers getting sacked its a horrendous amount of money. Not sure why Chelsea are getting this amount when it was their decision to sack him. Footballers shouldnt be excempt to being sacked until they just do something illegal. The likes of Joey Barton is another who should have been sacked, in fact Id fire Charlie Adam if i was Gers boss. Its just a sad industry that relys on the money side and sacking a player is writing off a big asset despite them being liabilities at the same time.
  7. I like the look of that team. Until ive really seen Aaron Niguez and Edu play I cant decide. But I also think we can play the 4-5-1 a lot better this season with the options in midfield. Also if Ferguson still has last seasons form then he wouldnt be in my team. I also think Hemdani would do very well in the same midfield as Mendes and perhaps Aaron - but the options are great. _________________McGregor____________________ Whittaker_____Weir_______Bougherra________Papac ________Mendes___Ferguson___Thomson_________ _____Novo_________Cousin_______Beasley________
  8. I dont think anyone is complaining about the signings, but we would just like the dead wood trimmed to save some on wages.
  9. I dont think its ibrox, the last 2 games i went to at Ibrox were in the East enclosure (albeit front row) but when walking out to the seats I cant remember a roof like that. However the blue seats and the gap for the away fans could pass for ibrox
  10. Lots of players pulling out. Not going to be much of a game. I know the international managers have to prepare but its at a silly time. Surely a squad get together and a 'A' team vrs 'B' team would have been better.
  11. Anyone who saw the Rangers game on saturday confirm if any decisions went for or against us.

    Aaron Niguez?

Choosing a front 2 is difficult at the moment. A front 2 with a link player would still be a good option as would having the 2 wide players getting forward. Id like to see 2 from Velicka, Novo, Miller and Lafferty. For me, Boyd doesnt cut it to be a first choice starter.
  13. You may have a shout for 4-0 to celtic on the one game, but i think we should concentrate on 100% stonewallers that could change the game. If something is 50% this means it could be 50/50 and may not be fully deserved. A penalty is a penalty whatever. Depending on what everyone else thinks we can change that game to maybe 3-0.
  14. I have to give a mention to Aston Villa aswell, i was watching bits of there game and going forward they look as dangerous as anyone. They have Agbonlahor and Young on the wings with big Carew in the middle. Sitting behind that they have Petrov, Barry and ReoCoker. Carlos didnt play due to a calf strain so we obviously didnt fake his injury, but he and Laursen could be a good partnership.

    Aaron Niguez?

Yeah Im just wondering so I can have an idea of how the rest of the midfield will look. The good thing about these 4 signings is Whittaker shouldnt get near the midfield now and have a run at RB. That settles the back 4 out also. At the moment Id have something like this: _____________________McGregor/Alexander____________________ Whittaker______Weir/Bougherra_______Broadfoot/Dailly_______Papac Novo/Aaron__Mendes/Davis_______Thomson/Edu___________Beasley _______________Miller/Velicka_____Lafferty/Darcheville/Boyd_______ Aaron may switch wings or play behind the strikers. Davis may be used on the right Lafferty can switch to LM if needed Novo can play upfront Fleck - will he feature now we have such a squad? Hemdani - may leave Adam - Should be back up at most McCulloch - may leave due to poor form Webster - on loan? Lennon - on loan to Partick Cousin - may leave Ferguson - Injured Naismith - injured Burke - injured S Smith - injured
  16. Nani was suspended yesterday. I can see him being a much improved player this season. He was too much of a showboater before (same as Ronaldo 3/4 years ago), but Fergie will get him inline and he will be a great player. His pace is unbelieveable. I only watched the first half of this game and Deco played well but Ballack suffered a bit as he was moved out right.
  17. What position is he going to play? Can he play on the right?
  18. That view is shocking, and its not just a few seats either!!
  19. Subject to a work permit!!!! Mmm...hopefully this gets pushed through. Havr to say bringing 4 midfielders in last week has impressed me. Surely Dailly can be released from his contract and Id say Hemdani will be sold now.
  20. Yip we need to let some go. Id sell McCulloch, Adam (if anyone wants him) and Boyd (still a weak first team starter). Hopefully that would be 6 million. I suppose we can sell Hemdani now aswell. Then id sell 1 from Cousin and Darcheville. Cousin is still the best striker on his day so if we got him playing well then id play him. Darcheville is a good impact player to come off the bench. Plus both these guys are strong so 1 staying could be useful.
  21. Week 1 FOR'S: Rangers (v Falkirk) 0-1 Celtic (v St Mirren) AGAINST: Rangers 0-0 Celtic Week 2 FOR'S: Rangers (v Hearts) 0-2 Celtic (v Dundee Utd) AGAINSTS: Rangers 0-0 Celtic Total: FOR'S: Rangers 0-3 Celtic AGAINSTS: Rangers 0-0 Celtic
  22. Chelsea were very strong and they still have Essien and Drogba to get back in the team. It wasnt Fulham or Wigan they tore apart, it was Portsmouth who are a top 8 side. I just cant see anyone beating Chelsea this season. Man U could struggle without Ronaldo and Nani, those 2 can get goals out of nothing.
  23. Absolute joke that Utd werent given that pen - pure disgrace. Id say 0-3 to them is fair but not sure how many points it would work out to be as Utd could always have missed the penalty. So its definalty 0-3 as we havent had decisions our way yet.
  24. Well deserved point for Utd, if there was another few mins I think they would have nicked all 3
  25. 0-0 at half time. Pretty even, Utd had a half shout for a pen with VoH all over Wilkie.
