Agree with Craig that if we play 4-5-1 then we have to have proper players in the wide positions. Id give Lafferty, Velicka, Novo and Miller a try to see if they play the forward role alone. But we have started this season well with a 4-4-2. To go to Parkhead and destroy them shows the difference of having real midfielders. Id like to see 2 of the strikers ive mentioned a try together. Im not convinced I want Ferguson back in the team yet. He surely cant walk back into a winning side - why brake whats not already broken!! For years we have needed a real midfield that can play 4-4-2 and now we have it, why bring back a inconsistant player who has only gave us a handful of good games in about 2 years ahead of Thomson who has a long future ahead of him. And id have Mendes ahead of Ferguson becuase he gives us more going forward. That said if Ferguson is fully fit and plays well then he should be in the team when he gets his chance...just as long as he doesnt start tackling Mendes like he did to Hemdani. The thing about having Davis in the team is he is perfect in a 4-4-2 whether it be centre or right (not wide right) but he doesnt suit the right side position in a 4-5-1 as there are already 2 other central players.

Someone on here once said the Man Utd version was: Im not sure how true that is and i can never make it out...but thats certainly more offensive to any Liverpool/Juventus fan who was involved at Heysel. And they would need to pulled up if we are being singled out.

Maybe SDM wants to lower the pitch after all

Agree with Andrew.

Are you serious? Who mentioned they moved overseas to soley avoid paying taxes? Pete is in the debate and Im pretty sure his taxes in Holland are higher than in UK. There are also a few posters from down south (Calscot and Wija) and their taxes (council tax especially) are likely to be higher than the rest in Scotland. And please explain why immigrating for work purposes and to better ones life style means we are not loyal to the country? Maybe we just feel we arent getting value for money...taxes are everywhere but in UK the public services we get are beyond a joke... The NHS is supposed to be free yet i paid national insurance from the age of 16 and rarely received any treatment...yet when i did need something i had to wait 6 months for a hospital appointment The roads are terrible with pot holes, The public transport system is terrible - when i took the train from Aberdeen to Glasgow for a Gers match Scotrail lay on 3 carriages which was mobbed by Perth - then how many delays do you read about down south? We are TOLD when to put our friggin bins out and are now being fined if its on the wrong day and they arent being picked up if they are 1 inch open from the top I could go on and on....but to show loyality to that service is insanity IMO. Im touching onto a different topic now that UK is becoming far to Big Brother style. Complete drivel. Who says i dont pay any tax anyway??? I still have an apartment there that im paying a mortgage and council tax on. I also work for a UK company which has maintained excellent growth in the UK providing jobs for UK citiezens. This has been recognised by a few awarding bodies. Yeah thats right we'd wipe Scotland off the map Your saying there is no chance we are as patriotic as you yet YOUR the one who smiled when the national team lost last week. Talk about contradicting yourself. Im sorry but it seems you have issues with anyone immigrating more than anything else. Do you know any foriegners in the UK from say the US, Canada, Australia, India????? Go ask them if they arent patriotic about their own country just because they live in the UK.

Awesome stuff Damien....cheers. the first one is class....i cant beleive the size of the terraces...how good would the atmosphere have been then!!!

Liverpool did out fight Man U in the 2nd half but they didnt have too much chances infront of goal plus both goals came from terrible Man U errors. Im not saying they didnt deserve to win, because they were the better team, but on another day Man U would have won 1-0 coz they wouldnt have given away those goals
-
And they didnt half sneak it. A freak own goal and a rare Giggs mistake. Man U probably scored too early
-
Did he score for Falkirk yesterday? Think i seen his name on the internet vidiprinter
-
Only those who like Boyd would be in denial about it I didnt see the game but obviously Boyd got the goals to give us 3 points. I still believe his style of play cuts down our options but he is decent for the average SPL games. Killie have started well but they are still a poor side. By the sounds of thins Novo showed when he came on that he should be a starter.

Agreed about arsenal, they need plays to stay fit to mount their challenge, if they do stay fit then they will be there. The only other thing they have to do is be able to beat the other big 3. All last season they were the better side in all the games but couldnt hold there leads. RE liverpool, they did outplay Man U but both goals should have been avoided. The first was a freak og that should have been cleared but it came of Brown and Giggs messe up for the 2nd...other than that it would have been a frustrating day for Liverpool, it was one of them where they got the luck there way. Both Vidic and Terry were sent off yesterday rulling them out of the match next week. Terry is going to appeal but it was a straight red for me - it was practically a rugby tackle

Chelsea just too strong. Man City will be a top 8 team this season, but they wont go near the top 4 until yet.
-
Liverpool's luck will catch up on them. Middlesboro and Sunderland deserved something off them. And Man U just havent started yet. Arsenal and Chelsea have started the season as the 2 that look the best. Normally Arsenal would go to Blackburn and get a draw at best due to the physical side of the game, they went there and rolled them over. Cream rises to the top and Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd will be the top 3.
-
4-0 awesome stuff...happy i decided to watch this game. They didnt get out of 2nd gear and could have been 4-0 up at half time. Blackburn had a few chances first half but Arsenal were superb again. Champions elect!!!
-
No i wasnt going to put west ham on anyway...i was going to take them out for sure. I almost just put the 4 fold on but threw Newcastle in.
-
MASSIVE FUCK!!! I took West Ham out as i wasnt confident with them and put Newcastle in there place. What was i thinking!!! 2-0 down at home to Hull and its going to cost me
-
1-0 Van Persie - superb goal! Walcott picked the ball up skinned 3 players then ran and laid it off for Van Persie who put a cool finish past Robinson. Walcott is on fire
-
2-1 Liverpool and they deserved it. Man Utd didnt have any ideas on the wings without Ronaldo. However it was 2 mistakes that gifted Liverpool both goals even though Liverpool out fought Man Utd in the 2nd half. Liverpool 10 pts out of 12 even tho they only deserve about 7 pts, but thats a good sign of teams who can win games when not playing well. Thats a big psychological victory now and Man U have got Chelsea next week.

I havent even thought about a coupon after the last few weeks, then just tuned into talksport and now I fancy Blackburn v ARSENAL FULHAM v Bolton West Brom v WEST HAM BIRMINGHAM v Doncaster RANGERS v Kilmarnock

Yip your spot on Craig, as I said should every Rangers fan live in Glasgow and every Man Utd fan live in Manchester?? Just because an opportunity came knocking our way to improve the 'Scottish Company" that employ us we set our sights higher to broaden our surroundings and tried living in other parts of the world. That no way suggests we moved from our country due to not being patriotic or for not liking our country. There are quite a lot of things id change about the UK as a whole for the better - 1 obviously being the tax system(s) which are ridiculous. The weather has got buggar all to do with anything, i actually miss cold days quite a lot seen as dont get any, so that argument is out the window. If you go to Perth Australia its like a mini Scotland, someone quoted me the figure of 150,000 Scots in that city alone which is around the same as Dundee - I dont think its that actually that high but its certainly a 5 figure amount. As for voting - well thats another topic. For me it doesnt matter who governs as the government always get in...the people we see as running the country are mere puppets who are being told what to do by a higher regeime/elite. If we really had democracy we would have an option on the voting slip for 'none of the above'.

Im looking forward to this game tonight, and these games are always more even at Anfield. Liverpool have had a good start points wise but been poor performance wise. Man U have only played 2 games and will need a win as they have Chelsea next week aswell. Gerrard and Torres have been passed fit for Liverpool which swings the odds IMO. I expected Man U to go there and win 2 or 3 nil but with those 2 back I can see liverpool really being up for it. I'll sit on the fence with a 2-2 draw. Elsewhere, Man City v Chelsea should be a cracker.

Bet Alan Hutton is regretting he didnt patent the idea
-
Pity Scotland didnt have McCann still flying down the wing for us. He is 1 player i rated highly and wasnt happy when he left for Southampton - his career went pear shaped then.
-
He can say it with a smile on his face just to cover up the fact he IS trying to get the point across. For me BF HAS to bide his turn when he is fit again. If Thomson and Mendes strike up a good understanding then why should that be broken up.
-
I see what your saying Fraser but cant fully agree. Also listened to Chick interview Burley after the game and they were saying Brown had a good game???!!! For me he might just be going thru a bad patch (all players do), and once he is on his game I would have in the team hands down. He is a bit of a knob but i think he is a good player. As for Broadfoot - its the opposite. Kirk is playing his best ever football but its still pretty average and if his form dips again then he wouldnt be near my team. At the moment he is there on merit and thats fair and something i like to see. After all Eck took FAR to long to call Hutton up. McFadden has to be in the team aswell for me. He is the 1 player we have who can turn a game. I dont think playing in the Championship is doing him any good as that league is a big scrap. If Lee McCulloch gets his 'A' game back he will be a miss We do have a decent squad when everyone if fit. Kevin Thomson is getting nearer the first XI and it would be D Fletcher who makes way for me, then shift Brown out right. But this is the first 2 sides we could field when fit. _________________Gordon___________________ Hutton______Weir________McManus______Naysmith Fletcher_____Brown______Ferguson_______Maloney _____________Miller______McFadden____________ ___________________McGregor_________________ Whittaker____Broadfoot_____Caldwell______S Smith??
