  1. TBH in scratching my head a bit about paying 3.5 million for Lafferty! When spending this type of cash he should have done better by now, or played more games at least.
  2. Miller will be a miss again for the Hearts game. But we need to be physical and fast against them. I wonder if WS will tempt with Velicka against his former team seen as he is back playing again. But i think Smith will opt with Boyd and Darcheville. Which is a huge test for Boyd!!! He has been scoring and playing well recently. This is one of our tougher matches on paper! These are the games we need to win to bring the title back and if Boyd can get the goals in these type games then I will shut up about him not being good enough over a season!!!
  3. Yip Craig has it right there, il give an example with actual odds. Dont know about you Craig but i prefer to still work in fractions rather than decimals? I remember about 9 years ago coming on the train to a Gers game when I used to take a few workmates to the odd game for the day out. 1 is a huge gambler and he sat on the train on the way down and taught me. Before i used to just bet and take whatever i got back. Anyway an EG of what i do: Say you picked a 10 quid treble of Liverpool 4/7, Man Utd 4/5 and Bolton 3/1 4/7 (divide) equals 0.57 x 10 (stake) = 5.71 then ADD stake again = 15.71 That winnings goes onto your Man Utd odds of 4/5: 4/5 (divide) = 0.8 x 15.71 (from game 1) = 12.57 then add 15.71 again = 28.28 Onto your Bolton: 3/1 (divide) = 3 x 28.28 (from game 2) = 84.84 then add 28.28 = 113.12 So that odds for a tenner returns you 113.12
  4. Aaron MUST get a game soon and Novo would be in my starting line up aswell. Good to hear Velicka played, i was wondering what was happening with him after such a promising PreSeason. S Smith played 90 mins also, so thats what I would call a good exercise Gergoe Burley!!!
  5. Excellent. I really thought they might go there and win last night. The only worry now is what someone stated earlier, they dont have the eureopean games now so can concentrate on domestic games. This is why we need to be finishing teams off a lot more.
  6. Fuckin 4 out of 5 again! Birmingham won Leceister won MK Dons won Bradford won High flying Darlington lose at home to shitty Chester :box:

I think the difference was Adam wasnt being signed, he was a youth prospect and fans normally want to see there own first, and he was going well in Div 1 (his level). With Gow, we seemed un-ambitious signing Falkirk players, while at the time Celtic were taking Gravesen from R Madrid (albeit it he turned out to be a bad sigining). As said earlier, the level of players such as the likes of Adams, Boyd, Burke etc are why we havent won the title for 3.5 years IMO

    On The Mend

Terrible news for him. Anyone know how old she was and what was the cause?
  9. Well said that man!!! Ive said exactly the same thing for a few years and included Boyd, Burke etc....
  10. If you want to debate this then we can in the lounge. Cant remember anyone stating it was a myth...however I can remember someone stating it is man made and created. Spiers doesnt deserve space on this forum. He is bitter and on the wind up and will take any chance he gets to attempt to belittle anything to do with Rangers.

And added to Gav's post above, nobody expects a player of this level, we just want to see what the lad can do and hope that he is possibly a bit more gifted than Adam.
  12. Agreed. I wasnt wanting Cuellar or Hutton to be sold unless it was for ridiculous money (around 15 million for Hutton and 12 for Cuellar) and only wanted them sold if that money was to re-build the team. No doubt our squad is strong in depth now but at the same time we have so many players worth under 3 million who start off ok then are a shambles (McCulloch, Darcheville, Dailly etc) Whats the point in trying to sell off players to get better ones for the next season? Why not try be successful and ambitious at the present. We are no longer able to compete with England so the likes of Mendes are as good as we buy experienced wise.
  13. Surely Fleck has to get some first time action soon!!!
  14. They do for Boyd, as thats all he scores against But the lesser opposition you have mentioned arent what i would call the lesser sides. Id have Falkirk, Inverness, St Mirren and Hamilton as the lesser sides.
  15. Another good game on the cards tonight with Wigan playing Everton. With the league being so close you can jump about 5 places with a win. I dont want Everton to pull away in 6th place but the relegation battle is going to be close this year so mabe its best if Wigan start losing more. At this monent Id only say West Brom will go down, after that its 2 from a lisy of teams.
  16. Its at Anfield i think. So may have a handicap wager giving West Ham a goal head start or something long that lines
  17. TBH mate i only saw the first 25 mins as i fell asleep...this extra hour time difference when the clocks change buggars up the footy a bit. The goal did take a big deflection though. And yet again the Hammers did play some good football. As I said yesterday this is a good thing that we could take off on a winning run..or it could be a bad thing as what happens if we start to play bad. Liverpool next week - banker 3 points for the Hammers again though :box:

Its not the first time though mate. Just need to mention Alan Gow!!
  19. I see what your saying Jon, some players can adjust later in career or can play there at anytime - Rio Ferdinand is a great finisher. But this is a new thing for McCulloch which he only tried in training recently when he was in the cold due to being in the poorest form of his life, yet all of a sudden he has jumped the pecking order in defence ahead of experienced players (Papac, Broadfoot, Hemdani, Edu, Dailly) and the youngsters etc Edu can play RB and centre half which could allow Broadfoot to play CH or even LB and put Papac in the centre....plenty options
  20. For a hobby then a billionaire may come to Scotland, but the challenge would be to buy the likes of Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen or Dundee Utd to make them challenge the OF - just like RA did for Chelsea breaking into Arsenal and Man Utd domination. For a crack at europe then the OF would be appealing. IF there was an atlantic league or the OF joined the Premier league then the OF would be snapped up quicker than anyone else IMO.
  21. I am struggling to imagine him being good when at PSV. I watched him again last night for Spurs and he had 2 clangers in the first 20 mins which Woodgate luckily cleared up for him. He has had 9 absolute fluffs which has resulted in 5 goals this season.
  22. Ok McCulloch is doing ok there after 2 games, but FFS why would it enter WS head to play him there in the first place ahead of players who have played there regularly. I agree with above, it is a receipe for disaster and it could be costly. This season is all about winning the league yet Lee McCulloch is playing Centre Half for us - you couldnt make it up!
  23. Get in the Hammers...about time we won. I stuck a cheeky tenner on a 1-0 win aswell at 8/1

    Aaron

Said it since day 1 when Aaron arrived that i dont expect to see him get a game due his age, even though there was huge hype when he came. It may be his is playing poor in training or the reserves but surely he should get a chance. He may be more suited to first team games on the bigger pitches etc. Is it Valencia he is on loan from? Surely they have to say something about it aswell. If he is any worse than Adam then why on earth did we take him in the first place.
  25. Really cant see this. If Harry comes in for anyone then I can only see it being McGregor.
