Same as Gav, but you wonder if he can. 7000 sit up's a day!! I probably havent done 1000 in my lifetime!!
-
Surprised WS hasnt came in for him!!! Whats he doing anyway, still looking for a contract and being coach of Scotland. The national team needs a bit more higher profile and dedicated person IMO.
-
Mmm not sure why we are looking at Healy and Lee Miller unless WS has no intention of playing Naismith, Novo, Velicka or Lafferty when Miller and Boyd are in the side. We should be looking to strengthen the defence first

Newcastle prepare £4.5m offer for Rangers defender Bougherra
Gribz replied to johnnyk's topic in Rangers Chat
Ferguson has been holding us up for years. Under 3 managers when he has been out the team we have played well until he returns. Under Eck we played well in a few good games until ha came back then under PLG we all know what happened there. IIRC we were top of the league this season until he returned then Mendes went off the boil aswell when BF came in the team aftr striking up a partnership with Thomson. And all this to give us 1 good performance in every 8 games. Bye bye BF for me!! -
Rangers put £7.5million price tag on keeper McGregor
Gribz replied to johnnyk's topic in Rangers Chat
He's been dropped already this season to try and get his form back. It seems whatever is going on OFF the pitch is affecting him. Personally Id go to Man Utd and ask Sir Alex to loan Foster and Evans for the rest of the season and plump them straight into the first team.- 15 replies

Newcastle prepare £4.5m offer for Rangers defender Bougherra
Gribz replied to johnnyk's topic in Rangers Chat
So many first teams being linked away. Personally if Newcastle came in for Ferguson I hope we take the offer. I can see Davis and Mendes being a much better partnership until Thomson returns. Its not looking good with Bougherra though. Once again we buy a player, make him into something then sell him on to balance the books. Id take Berra but hope Bougherra stays. -

Old Firm whistler to be first pro ref in Scotland
Gribz replied to johnnyk's topic in General Football Chat
This country has only had Shuggy Dallas as a real ref for as long as i can remember. He should be employed as the head of Ref's in the SFA/SPL. -
Hibs yet again show the rest of Scotland how a youth policy is run. They just keep unearthing potential talent. We should be asking how they do it!!

I see what your saying that OF games can come down to one-off matches and go anyway, but the manner we gave up once the goal went in along with the lack of tactical awareness/changes by the management means they HAVE to take flack and blame on this game. Celtic werent at the races in the 1st half and all we needed was to go up another gear and bring on another option upfront - WS even said himself we should have been sharper, so he should have made things sharper at HT - yet we sat back and allowed them to take 3 points. Agreed about them grinding out results also. This is something league winning sides do all over. Look at how many 1-0s the likes of Man Utd have had over the years - they got 2 more in there last 2 games against Stoke and Middlesboro. Sadly we lack that extra bit due to the management being scared to gamble with talented youngster on the bench who are capable. It makes things more frustrating, IF WS did make such changes and go for 3 points then we cant blame him for the lack of trying even if the opposition nicked it on the break.

This is turning out to be another Gow situation. Promising in pre season then all of a sudden we havent seen the guy! Can anyone shed any light on this guy? Does WS not like anymore?

Novos a hit with Deportivo but strikers not ready to leave
Gribz replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Cant believe Novo hasnt started a game in over 2 months. I'll be gutted if he leaves. I think he is as good as if not better than any of our current players RM or LM or upfront. Id like to see 2 central midfielder sit deep and string all the passes then let Novo and Aaron loose on the wings with 2 strikers upfront. If not have 3 across the middle then add Novo in a free role in behind the partnership of Boyd and miller to do a bit od creating and wide roles. It seems so simple! But WS is so blind at the moment. -
Well there's a surprise seeing a player out of position
-
Yeah there seems to be a few statements about the loans. Webster is still injured which means Smith will probably keep him on as Bougherras replacement. Wolves are looking at Gow and he scored 5 goals at Blackpool which means he doesnt have a chance at Ibrox. Furman - he'll probably be put elsewhere on loan, maybe as bait for Wilkie at Utd.
-
I said the same on another thread
-
It might be a middle finger from a parting JCD but who knows. But why was the likes of Dailly kept on for another year, he is likely to be on 10k+ aswell after coming from the Premier League!!!
-
More run of the mill SPL players. But Neilson appeals to me more than Whittaker and Broadfoot at RB. Why oh why was Dailly given another years contract in the summer!!

It all depends what went on behind the scenes that we dont know about. Boyd should have been put on ahead of Iwelemo or Fletcher as IMO it wasnt a game to hand 2 debuts. But for all we know Boyd may be lazy in training and just having a laugh and taking his place for granted - at the time he wasnt playing well. Therefore Burley maybe didnt want to reward him with a place. Its similar to Gow and WS. But BOyd has knuckled down and started playing much better in a few games, he would have been the bigger man also if he didnt quit the Scotland scene but proved Burley wrong with all his goals. Now they both look to be in a no win situation.

IM not sure whether to say: 1) well done Charlie for showing your desire at playing for Rangers or 2) What a greedy twat for thinking about yourself first rather than the team and effecting us on the pitch or 3) What are the medical staff doing not picking up on this!! Walter, have you not heard of consistancy....and why use such an important OF game to just bring him in out of the blue??? De-ja-vou of Cuellar anyone??? Injured before the last transfer window so he didnt pick up a new injury for his new employers/club.
-
Lee Wilkie would be the lowest of the low signings ever for me. The whole thing stinks from the players ability to his injury record. A back 4 of Whittaker, Broadfoot, Wilkie and another seems to be the route we are heading and would be the worst Rangers defence of all time.
-
Personal name calling out of the blue is against forum rules but in some ways it can be justified as long as it doesnt get very personal. Its strange this just comes to view now when posters on here - mods/admin included - have gave out fair share of abuse and name calling to Boruc, McGeady, Lennon, Spiers, McNee etc - and rightly so! But now its towards a Rangers player we have to discuss it. We have a wanker smilie available - now surely if that is used then its an insult to whoever its direct against! Calling someone a twat for missing an open goal is almost part of spoken english, Im sure its just an expression that comes out straight away. EG - "Oh Boyd you Balloon!!" How many times have people on here called someone else the odd donkey in banter terms!! - Its all about knowing where to draw the line. In Charlie Adams case being called an idiot can be justified IMO for some of the nonsense he has came out with. He brought it on himself. And sitting infront of the national TV cameras picking his nose before the UEFA cup final was pure embarrasing. As long as the insults dont come without substance and totally attack the person direct or his family etc then the odd "twat", "clown" statement is fine by me. And players are paid big money and taking a little bit of criticism is part and parcel of being a football player in the same way as they will get praise for doing well.

Heppy Noo Year

Chick, its new year, grab yourself a pipe and leave the footy for a night

Id rather see us go 4-3-3 with Davis being pushed in a bit and having a 3 man forward line. Or alternatively id look at 3-5-2 but as long as our players are not out of position - not to promising with WS record. But we play 4 centre halfs as it is anyway so why not take 1 away. Something along the lines of: ____________________McGregor_________________ _________Bougherra_____Weir_____Papac_________ _____________Davis_________Ferguson___________ ____Novo_____________Mendes___________Aaron__ ______________Miller__________Boyd_____________
