The figures going about are for 175 million package, with 100 million going to Milan and 75 million on Kaka's wages which will be 500k a week!!! But also read it is 100 million euro's to Milan. Silly silly money!! If it was Chelsea or Man Utd buying they would be talking half that, its just because Man City arent 1 of the big boys that they have to up the money.

At last these cracks in Ferguson are appearing more obvious to more fans. His negativity in his attitude has been obvious for years and now his playing ability is getting very obvious. Yet he is still first name on the team sheet. It may well be a result in playing with injuries for too long but at the moment BF is reminding me of some of the 9IAR team who couldnt find an extra gear to make it 10IAR. BF needs to be dropped. Davis and Mendes are easy the best option in the centre of the park.

With the down time for a few days we never got a chance to discuss Burke moving to Cardiff. Getting him off our books is a big scoop as he was a waste of a wage. Some say he under achieved but for me he only showed glimpses of skill but was always blown off the ball with ease. He was 1 of quite a few dead wood and him leaving is as good as when Mo Ross and Stephen Hughes left.
-
Is Latpay still there also? Do you think WS is giving Hughes his signing tips???
-
Agreed with John in the opening post. Last season was a success in its own way. Had WS utilised his squad properly and the fixtures went kinder then we could have also added the SPL and UEFA to the 2 Cups. But we should have used last season as a spring board to take the team onto the next level yet its the other way. We have we backwards fast! The signings either have been overall poor or havent been given a chance, and yet the likes of Dailly were kept on for no reason which is wasting more money. WS just never wants to fit talented younger player into the team. Im not saying we should field them every week all over the pitch but Fleck and Aaron should be tried before McCulloch etc. The season isnt lost yet but you worry about the morale in the team when every player knows they are for sale.

I cant see Boyd going anywhere. Unfortunatly I can see Bougherra or Mendes being the players sold off. Mendes aparently not happy that he was "offered" to Newcastle on loan??!!! Not sure what is going on behind the scenes at the moment!
-
Newcastle might as well just start wearing our shirts. They try to nick a load of players. Bougherra, Mendes, Ferguson, Boyd, McGregor all linked this week and now they have got Lovenkrands on trial. Whats with that bloke Willie McKay offering all our players to them!!
-
BF wont want to go but i think many Bears wouldnt mind it TBH. We will only really get 1 more season out of him after this and he isnt near any kind of level/form he has had in the past. 1 of BF's downfall was actually being made captain, this went to his head and effected his play. Was interesting to hear a Gers fan call your call the other day saying BF is more of a bully that captain. Whittaker and Broadfoot were both playing well in the team until BF came back - not to sure how accurate the comments are. But another example he used was at Inverness last week, BF over hit a cross yet it was Broadfoot who had to apologise to BF - i couldnt beleive it! If we got 2 million for BF it would be a good piece of business.
-
Davis would be my first pick in the centre of the park at the moment. Pity Edu hasnt played or settled as well or having him sit deep and allowing Davis and Mendes to go forward sounds good
-
He had a brief decent spell at Leeds and a great run in the Euro qualifiers for NI, apart from that he hasnt been scoring at all
-
Crikey, i go to bed then come back and all my threads are tampered with :box:
-
Great goal by Commons! Decent player this guy!!!
-
Well MB should have went long ago. I dont know why SDM calls some fans mice when he employs a yes man to work for him. I dont know about anyone else but i certainly wouldnt be in awe of Murray if i met him and id tell him this in a nice way.
-
Thats the managements fault though and the buck stops with them. We judge them at the end of this season. Its a 3 stage process and come May time will be up on all 3 and if they havent delivered the title then they are out. I get the impression a lot on here would still kind of be upset if we won the league without Boyd.
-
85% off Lee McCulloch is hilarious tho!!!
-
Thats 3 wingers and a wide player/striker in that midfield!!!!
-
To be fair to Faubert, he wanted to come to Gers but it was the french club he played for who accepted West ham's bid and turned ours down
-
No no no...he is absolutely terrible! As i said in football chat, Etheringto is going for 2 million and is by far a better player! Faubert did get an injury early on but he has been terrible in every game he has played since coming back, and I see West Ham live almost every week. His crossing from dead balls is the worst ive seen and his legs are like Darcheville's - far to bulky for a footballer.
-
I think its 105 and 106 caps or 107 and 108. But BBC normally say he is going for the record breaking amount, but this time they have remember Shilton has 126 caps.
-
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7813166.stm No wonder he only played 45 mins, i watched the first half and he was absolute terrible. Well off the pace, poor passing, losing possession..... He says he hasnt moved to pass Bobby Moore's record but i definatly believe its a personal goal of his - of course it is and rightly so, but he isnt going to admit it. He is another player who on the downward spiral....seems to be the story of football at the moment!
-
Im afraid both my teams are in the money dire. West Ham are probably in a bigger mess than Rangers. The owner has until March to find a buyer or his companies are insolvent, plus WH could be hit with the Tevez fine of up to 30 million. I suppose WH are a selling club at the moment as well.
-
This is basically the only way to gain money and by winning the SPL this season we would get the windfall so shouldnt SDM, MB and WS all be putting every resource possibly into winning it and not saying things like all our players are for sale.
-
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/stoke_city/7814510.stm Cant believe West Ham are letting him go and for such a cheap fee. He is much better than Boa Morte on the left. 2 million is a bargain! Someone ive rated for a long time. He is quick and can beat men and has a good cross. Reminds me a bit in Neil McCann at this peak. This is the sort of player we should have went for rather than 3.5 million for Lafferty.

It was Pete who mentioned Mols. I agree, Mols was an awesome goalscorer (and all rounder) before the B Munich game.
